The Hogwarts Emerald
Chapter 92 Nothing Happened
Chapter 92 Nothing Happened
There was no need for Ada to tell anyone about her thoughts. She just needed to keep them to herself. No one, Professor McGonagall or Dumbledore, would let her do whatever she wanted, nor would they always spoil her.
Settling accounts with the Foley family would undoubtedly cause an earthquake in the wizarding world, and Dumbledore would not allow such a thing to happen.
Maybe there was once a woman who could have spoiled her and protected her, but on a snowy night in 1977, that woman abandoned her and her life or death has been unknown since then.
Although being born noble has always been sneered at by many people, it is real. This is especially true in the wizarding world. The Ministry of Magic has existed for hundreds of years, but there is only one minister who is a Muggle-born, and this minister stepped down not long after due to health reasons.
"I still feel it's a pity that I can't do it myself." George's words interrupted Ada's thoughts.
"I want to tear Flint's teeth out one by one." Fred looked at Ada who was distracted and asked, "Ada, what are you thinking about?"
Retracting her scattered thoughts, Ada replied, "Nothing, I just think Flint's behavior is really a disgrace to the pure-blood family. I wonder what they have been proud of all along?"
"We are the ones who bring discredit to the pure-blood family, while Flint and his men are the glory." Fred pointed at himself and George and said.
"The Weasley family is a bunch of pure-blood scum who have fallen into depravity," George said self-deprecatingly. "That's one of the reasons why Dad has never been able to get promoted in the Ministry."
There were not only 28 pure-blood families, but only 28 pure-blood families. Many pure-blood families disappeared in the long river of magic history.
The reasons for the disappearance of these families are either because they squandered their ancestral wealth and lost their ancestral glory; or because their families died out and eventually no one cleaned up their family graves. The Weasley family, which is called a scum, is a little poor, but has a large population. It is really ironic.
"If you weren't 'scum of the pure-blood family', we probably wouldn't be friends."
Fred smiled and said, "That's true. Wouldn't you be very pitiful in that case?"
If the Weasley family also holds this idea, they will not make friends with someone from Ada's background, unless the two brothers have not been brainwashed by the family and still retain their current values.
"You will cry and no one will comfort you," George said. "It will be like Moaning Myrtle."
As they were talking, the three of them had already returned to the common room. It was not too late yet, so they sat in their usual seats and continued chatting.
"Have you ever seen me cry?" Ada rolled her eyes. "Before someone makes me cry, I will make him suffer a fate worse than death."
"I hope you won't be scolded by Professor McGonagall and cry tomorrow!" the twins said in unison.
If the professors knew what Ada had just done, the twins felt that Professor McGonagall would not let Ada off easily. So the two brothers thought that the three of them would act together, so that they could share some of Professor McGonagall's anger.
But the proposal was rejected, and the reason was sufficient and irrefutable. The Quidditch Cup was behind them, and Gryffindor could not afford to lose another Beater.
Ida decided to do it when Charlie got into trouble. Even if she did nothing, the twins would definitely go to trouble Flint. It would be better for Ida to take it on herself, since Charlie treated her well anyway.
If the twins are really banned, they will just have to wait to be hunted down by Charlie after he recovers from his injury!
Moreover, Ada had already known Professor McGonagall's bottom line. She thought that what she had done was still within Professor McGonagall's tolerance range and she should not be scolded badly.
"Looks like I need to order some catnip tomorrow!" Let's deal with tomorrow's affairs tomorrow. Ada, who had prepared herself mentally, could even joke with the twins.
The next day was Sunday, with no classes and no Quidditch matches. As the weather got colder, Ada would no longer go to the Black Lake in the morning. The weather at Hogwarts was no joke.
Ada left the castle with Garlon, who was wagging his tail. Garlon was almost half a year old, and his body was much bigger than when he was first brought back to the Burrow. Although Garlon didn't stick to her, he was always very obedient and didn't make Ada worry too much, which was what Ada was most satisfied with.
When Ada went to the auditorium for breakfast, she did not see Flint. The Slytherin students did not look at her in a strange way. As usual, they treated Ada as if she were air.
Professor McGonagall was chatting happily with other professors in the teaching booth, and Snape had no intention of teaching Ada a lesson.
It seemed that nothing had happened, and the twins were not so worried. Flint probably did not tell Snape, but chose to swallow his anger. It seemed that Ada would not be punished, and the twins began to feel sorry for her. They would have taught Flint a lesson yesterday, since he did not dare to tell the professor anyway.
It was not until noon that Ada and the twins saw Flint again. He was surrounded by several Slytherins, with a white and green scarf covering his mouth, and walked into the hall with a gloomy look.
Flint didn't look at Ada and the twins, or even in the direction of Gryffindor, but walked straight to his seat with his friends. Flint ate very slowly, without saying a word, and ate his lunch quietly.
In the afternoon, Ada and the twins went to the school clinic together. Charlie was reading a book about dragons. The giant dragon on the cover had majestic horns and was breathing flames.
"You're here." Charlie put down his book and asked Ada and the others to come over and sit down. "You didn't get into trouble, did you?"
"No. If I get into trouble, can I still come here to see you?" Fred said, sitting on the adjacent bed.
"I don't even have time to hide from you, and yet you still rush to the school infirmary to get scolded?" George said as he sat on Charlie's hospital bed.
Ada sat on the chair, picked up the book curiously, and flipped through it casually. Ada asked, "You have been reading books like this during the holidays. No wonder Hagrid likes you so much."
"We have a lot in common when it comes to dragons. Hagrid even wants to keep a private dragon, any kind is fine." Charlie said softly.
Although Madam Pomfrey had the ability to bring people back to health, her ribs were broken after all, so Charlie didn't dare to speak loudly.
"The Forbidden Forest can't support an adult dragon. It will turn the Forbidden Forest into ruins." Ada knew Hagrid's love for all kinds of magical creatures, so she was not surprised at all to know that he wanted to raise a dragon.
Hagrid is very interested in raising these huge and dangerous creatures, but of course these dangers are nothing to Hagrid. Last time in the Forbidden Forest, although I didn't see how big Aragog was, I could still guess the approximate size through its offspring.
"Yeah, so I dissuaded him from this dangerous idea." Charlie said, "I want to go to Romania after graduation."
George was stunned. It was the first time he knew about Charlie's idea. He asked, "Have you told mom about it?"
"No, I haven't figured out how to start the conversation yet." Charlie said, "I plan to talk to my dad during the Christmas holiday."
"Bill went to Egypt, and you want to go to Romania, so Percy is the only one left at home," said Fred.
Charlie smiled and said, "If you two make your mother angry at home, I will fly back from Romania on a fire dragon and roast you two with my dragon breath!"
Several people were gossiping, and the three Weasley brothers were exposing each other's scandals. Charlie was mostly talking about the twins' embarrassing stories, after all, he was the older brother and could remember things earlier.
For example, one time the twins tricked Ron into taking the Unbreakable Vow, and when Mr. Weasley found out, the vow was almost complete. Mr. Weasley was furious and beat the twins' bottoms until they were swollen.
According to Charlie, he had never seen Mr. Weasley so angry, and from then on, the left side of Fred's buttocks was different from the right side.
Ada had a new understanding of the twins' ability to get into trouble. They were truly two geniuses. They had made an unbreakable vow before they even went to school, and they had almost succeeded.
Fred's buttocks were covered by his robe, and Ada looked at it many times but didn't find anything unusual. Fred turned his head away and stretched out his hand to block Ada's sight.
The three of them didn't disturb Charlie for too long. They sat for a while and prepared to leave. Before leaving, Ada asked, "Charlie, did anyone come to see you this morning?"
Charlie didn't know why Ada asked this, but he answered the question anyway. Charlie said, "Percy came in the morning, and so did Rupert."
Ada nodded and left the school infirmary with the twins. Charlie, who was lying on the hospital bed, suddenly realized that the three of them must have done something, so Ada asked this question!
