The Hogwarts Emerald

Chapter 90 Justifiable Defense

Chapter 90 Justifiable Defense
There was chaos in the stands, and professors tried to calm students from the two colleges and prevent them from rushing onto the court.

In the middle of the field, Dumbledore and Professor McGonagall were examining Charlie's body. The Gryffindor players formed a circle. The twins stared at Marcus Flint with red eyes. If others hadn't stopped them, the two brothers would have rushed up.

The Slytherin players stood behind Snape, looking at the twins unwillingly, with Marcus Flint, the person involved, protected in the middle by them.

"That's my brother, let me through!" Percy shouted as he ran, "Let me through, that's my brother Charlie!"

This was the first time Ada saw Percy like this. His eyes were red and he pushed his classmates away one by one without any care. Normally, except when he was teased by the twins, he was never seen with such an anxious expression.

The professors let Percy go, and Ada sneaked out when they weren't paying attention. As soon as he left the crowd, Percy rushed directly to the Slytherin team members, and it seemed that he wanted to beat Flint to death.

However, with Percy's small body, he wanted to learn how to fight one against seven, but he ended up being ruthlessly killed and pinned to the ground by the seven teammates.

Don't be impulsive at this time. Ada quickly grabbed Percy and persuaded him to calm down and not let him go to his death. In fact, Ada also wanted to cast a bat curse on Marcus' face, but Snape was standing by and would not let her attack his students.

However, Ada had no intention of letting Marcus go, especially since he not only had no regrets at all, but was showing off to other team members.

Marcus also saw Ada and Percy. He looked at them provocatively. When Ada dragged Percy away, he gave them a sarcastic smile, which was really ugly.

Charlie woke up in the crowd, his face was pale and his brows were furrowed. The twins and Percy surrounded him and asked him what was wrong with him.

"Professor, how is Charlie?" Ada asked, and the twins and Percy also looked up at Professor McGonagall.

"He has broken ribs and needs to rest for a while." Professor McGonagall replied. She was very angry and wanted to put Marcus in detention for a year.

"I think you need to send your brother to the school infirmary as soon as possible." Dumbledore also said, "I have informed Madam Pomfrey, and she will be able to return a healthy Charlie to you soon."

The twins, Percy, and the rest of the team took the injured Charlie away. Ada did not go with them to see Charlie off. She wanted to hear what Marcus' punishment was.

Dumbledore walked up to Snape and said, "Severus, Marcus's behavior is really bad, so I will deduct 50 points from Slytherin, and Marcus will be punished with detention for the next month. In addition, Marcus should not play during the period when Charlie Weasley cannot play."

Every time he heard a word, Snape's sallow face darkened a little. After hearing all the punishments, Snape's face was darker than Lee Jordan's. He led the Slytherin students away from the court without saying a word.

After Dumbledore announced the punishment, the other students dispersed and did not stay in the stadium.

On the way back to the castle, Ada followed Professor McGonagall. She wanted to test Professor McGonagall's attitude so as to decide the extent of her revenge.

"You behaved very well today. You were not as impulsive as you were last year." Professor McGonagall said. The Vice-President was very angry now, and every word she said was squeezed out from between her teeth.

"If Percy and I rush over, Fred and George will definitely go as well. The team has already lost Charlie and can't lose another batsman." said Ada.

As I said, there is no point in being impulsive. Snape will not watch them hurt his students. Besides, there are so many professors present, so he can't do anything.

"You've learned to think, which means you haven't grown up in vain this year." Professor McGonagall said, "You can go see Charlie by yourself later. I won't go. Leave early after the visit and don't hang around."

Even when she arrived at the castle, Ada still didn't understand Professor McGonagall's attitude and didn't know what she was thinking.

Before the two of them parted, Professor McGonagall suddenly said, "I have recently compiled some new notes on Transfiguration. If you have time, you can come and take a look."

"I understand, Professor!" Ada figured out Professor McGonagall's bottom line and had a clear idea in her mind.

After separating from Professor McGonagall, Ada went to the school infirmary. The twins and Percy were sitting beside the bed. Charlie, who was wearing a chest protector, was talking to the three of them.

Ada told the four people about Dumbledore's punishment. Charlie and Percy had no objection to Dumbledore's punishment, but the twins were still dissatisfied. They wanted to send Marcus to the school infirmary. Charlie saw the twins' dissatisfaction, so he specifically told them: "Fred and George, you two are not allowed to go to Marcus. When I am discharged from the hospital, I will beat Slytherin on the court in an upright manner, so that he will be hurt!"

"Got it..." The twins responded perfunctorily. Anyway, Charlie was lying in the school infirmary and couldn't stop them at all.

"Keep an eye on them for me, Percy." Compared to Charlie, the twins were still too young.

Percy nodded and said, "I know, I'll watch over them." After calming down, Percy returned to his usual nerdy appearance, still the unpopular Percy.

In the evening, the common room was very quiet. Charlie was still lying in the school infirmary, so no one celebrated today's victory. The twins and Ada sat in the armchairs by the fireplace, talking quietly.

Ada held a book in her hands, but she was not reading a book, she was looking at the Marauder's Map. She placed the map on the page, and she had been staring at it for the whole afternoon.

The twins sitting opposite Ida were snapping their knuckles. They had been waiting for Flint to be alone. Now Flint was in detention, and if no one came to pick him up later, Ida and the twins would have their chance.

But Ada and her friends have another enemy, Percy, who has infiltrated the people and has been watching them in the lounge.

It was almost time, so Ada and the others left the lounge. But when they left, Percy not only did not say anything to stop them, but turned around and didn't even look at them.

The twins were completely confused and didn't understand what Percy was doing, but Ada understood what Percy meant. He was such a weird person.

In Snape's office, Flint was writing furiously, writing "I shouldn't stab people in the back" over and over again on the parchment. He had been writing for the whole night and his right hand was about to lose feeling.

After he filled another parchment, Snape finally let him go. Flint walked towards the common room while swinging his hands. He was not afraid of being alone. If Weasley dared to come, he would send them to the school infirmary together. He was not that useless person like Avery.

There was no one in the corridor. Flint walked for a while and suddenly heard someone talking.

"We've been waiting for you for a long time." It was the twins who spoke, blocking the way to the Slytherin common room.

Flint felt that he had a chance of winning when he was fighting one against two. He taunted, "You will be in the school clinic to accompany your brother in a while."

"You need to apologize to Charlie, Flint," Fred said, "or we can take you there."

"You two are really making me laugh to death. Is it because your family is too poor that your brains have been starved?" Flint laughed loudly and mocked the two brothers. He took out his wand and planned to teach the twins who didn't know their place a lesson.

"You'd better listen to us and put away your wand if you don't want to get hurt." George motioned for him to look behind him.

Flint turned his head and looked back. He saw Ada standing not far behind him. Ada had her hands behind her back and was tapping the ground with her right toes. She looked very leisurely.

Ada is one of the most recognizable people in the whole Hogwarts. Apart from her appearance, Ada's labels are enough to make people remember her. Miss Know-it-all, one of the most deductible people in Gryffindor, Snape's most hated student, etc.

Flint naturally knew Ada, but he never took Ada seriously. She was just a thirteen-year-old girl, no big deal.

"You poor fellows really like to get together!" said Marcus Flint, "I'll send you to accompany Charlie Weasley now!"

Marcus Flint raised his wand and cast a spell at Ada, but his spell was not very powerful and could not hurt Ada at all.

"That's it!" Ada waved her wand casually. She really didn't expect Flint to be so useless.

Ada continued, "You attacked me first, so my fight back is self-defense!"
