Chapter 64 The Burrow That Everyone Loves
Chapter 64 The Burrow That Everyone Loves
Inside the Burrow, Mrs. Weasley was cooking dinner in the kitchen. There were bursts of singing coming from the radio beside the sink. Mrs. Weasley must like this song very much, as she was humming along.
Ginny followed Mrs. Weasley like a little tail. Mrs. Weasley, who was cooking, would feed Ginny something to eat from time to time, either sausages or meat. Ginny ate very happily.
Percy was running around the yard after the twins, as if the twins had annoyed him again. Ron was standing aside and watching the show happily, as he was also a victim of the twins.
Charlie, the second oldest brother of the Weasley family, was staying in his room, flipping through a thick book about dragons. He had only one year left before graduation, and he wanted to go to Romania to study dragons after graduation.
But Charlie didn't dare tell his mother that Bill went to Egypt to work for Gringotts. When he asked his mother if he wanted to go to Romania, he was afraid that Mrs. Weasley would not agree.
"Mom, take care of Fred and George!" Percy, who hadn't caught up with the man, ran into the house. "They took my things!"
The twins hadn't expected Percy to be so unhappy that he actually went to complain, so they hurried into the house, followed by Ron who was enjoying the show.
"Mom, don't listen to Percy."
"Percy is the first to complain!"
"You two should stop provoking Percy all the time. Can't you be more obedient?" said Mrs. Weasley.
Fred held up the parchment in his hand and said, "Mom, Percy actually has a girl he likes. Aren't you curious?"
"It's not like that, no," Percy's face flushed, "It's just a female classmate!"
"If you were an ordinary female classmate, why are you blushing?" George asked.
Percy said in panic: "She's just an ordinary female classmate, why do you care so much? I'm the older brother!"
"Shut up, everyone!" Mrs. Weasley felt a headache from the noise. "You two return the letter to Percy."
"Mom, this isn't fair," the twins said in unison, "We've been doing really well this semester and we passed all our exams."
Charlie, startled by the noise downstairs, came down and said, "The test results are good, and you even got an O."
Seeing their second brother stand up to support them, the twins became strong again and looked at Percy without showing any weakness. "Yes, we also got an O. This is a very good start!"
"But I think the credit for this O should go to Ada. She put in a lot of effort to ensure that you two get better test scores." Charlie said, leaning against the stair railing.
The twins who were stabbed from behind by their second brother were like deflated balls. They looked at Charlie with dissatisfaction, but Charlie didn't care about the twins' eyes at all.
Mrs. Weasley was very satisfied with the twins' grades this summer. She herself did not expect the two brothers to be as good as their older brother, so when the twins came back with these grades, Mrs. Weasley was very happy and even prepared a large table of delicious food to reward the twins.
"Ada? Why is there something about Ada here?" Ginny asked in confusion. She had a strong liking for this young lady she met on the platform. She had always wanted to have a sister, but all she had at home were brothers.
Charlie looked at the twins, meaning, it's up to you to decide, or me to decide.
"Ada has been reviewing with us in the weeks before the final," Fred said with his head down.
"Before the exam, she even marked out the knowledge points that might be tested on us. She said this is called predicting the topic," George continued.
Mrs. Weasley put her hands on her hips and looked at the twins. "Why didn't you tell me earlier?" she asked.
"Since you're so happy, we're going to keep it a secret for two more days."
"I'll tell you when Ada comes to play at home."
"Mom..." Charlie started again, and the twins looked at him in horror, afraid that something would come out of his mouth and stab them again.
"Mom, there's no need to be angry. Even though Ada helped them with their studies, they took the exams themselves after all, and they didn't cheat."
The twins nodded their heads like chicks pecking at rice. They agreed with what Charlie said and began to thank him again.
"But, mom, don't indulge them too much. Without Ada, they will probably fail the course." Charlie finished his words and raised his eyebrows at the twins.
Because of their good grades, Mrs. Weasley would not say anything even if the twins were naughty. This behavior of turning a blind eye made the twins even more unbridled. Charlie, who had been hiding in his room reading, finally couldn't stand the twins' noise, so he decided to let Mrs. Weasley clean them up and return the home to a peaceful paradise.
The twins looked at Charlie in disbelief. They never expected that Charlie Weasley would be such a second brother!
Percy held the letter returned by the twins in his hand. He, Ron and Ginny sat neatly on the sofa and watched Mrs. Weasley's education of love.
Mrs. Weasley, who looked kind and amiable, exploded like a tiger. The abominable behavior of the twins in the past few days became the brothers' crime at this moment. Mrs. Weasley criticized them from head to toe.
Charlie just stood on the stairs and looked at the twins with an innocent face. After all, what bad intentions could Charlie have?
Arthur Weasley and Ada outside the house had no idea what was happening inside the house. He was still introducing the Burrow to Ada. He said, "We are home. This is Ottery St. Catchpole. We are a little outside the village."
The house in front of me was as high as several stories, crooked and tilted, looking like an illegal building. There were four or five chimneys on the red roof, and a sign was inserted diagonally in front of the house, which read "humble residence".
There were some high-top leather boots and a rusty crucible lying by the gate, a few fat brown chickens pecking at food in the yard, and a shabby garage next to the yard.
"It's not big, but it's cozy," Mr. Weasley continued.
The strange-shaped house in front of her is where Ada will live in the future. The appearance of the Burrow does not look very good, but perhaps because she loves the house so much, Ada likes this house very much.
“The shape is very unique, I like it very much.”
"That's good, let's go in, Molly should have prepared dinner." After saying that, Mr. Weasley took Ada into the Burrow.
Mrs. Weasley, who was furious, saw Mr. Weasley coming in. She turned her anger towards her husband and said, "Look at what your son has done. How dare they hide the exam from me!"
"Exam? What's wrong? Did they cheat?" Mr. Weasley looked at the twins. He has always been a kind father, but if the twins dared to do some things, he would definitely break their legs.
"No, Dad, there's no such thing." Fred explained to his father.
"Ada helped us review, but we kept it a secret." George said, "I was planning to tell her when Ada came to play..."
"When Ada comes, if Ada doesn't come this holiday, are you planning to keep it a secret?" Mrs. Weasley turned to the twins and said.
"I'm glad it's not cheating," said Mr. Weasley. "Oh, by the way, thank you."
"Arthur, who are you talking to?"
"Good evening, Mrs. Weasley." Ada walked out from behind Mr. Weasley. Before entering the room, Mr. Weasley asked Ada to hide behind him to give everyone a surprise.
"Honey, how did you get here?" Mrs. Weasley, who had been scowling just now, immediately turned back to a kind look. She walked forward and hugged Ada in her arms.
"Ada!" The twins cried out in surprise, but they were afraid of their mother, so they didn't dare to go forward.
"She has been staying at the Leaky Cauldron these days. Dumbledore told me." Mr. Weasley took off his robe and hung it on the hanger. "I will pick Ada up after get off work."
"What's wrong with you, child? Why don't you write to Fred and George?" Mrs. Weasley scolded, "It's so dangerous for you to live there all by yourself!"
Mrs. Weasley looked at Ada distressedly. She pulled Ada to sit on a chair at the dining table. She continued, "Come back with Fred and George when you have the holidays."
"When I brought Ada back, Old Tom seemed reluctant to let her go. He even didn't collect Ada's rent." Mr. Weasley came over and sat down, and several others also came over.
The twins were originally sitting next to Ada, but Ginny squeezed in, and Fred, who had just been scolded, had to give his chair to her. Ginny sat next to Ada with a happy face.
Mrs. Weasley was originally talking to Ada, but after Mr. Weasley sat down, she smelled alcohol, so she asked, "Arthur, have you been drinking outside?"
"No, I went to pick up Ada after get off work. I didn't have time to drink!" Mr. Weasley hurriedly explained, thinking it better to have less trouble.
"You went to the Leaky Cauldron and didn't have a drink?"
"No, if you don't believe me, ask Ada."
