The Hogwarts Emerald
Chapter 592 Part 2: Half-Blood Prince
Chapter 592 The Half-Blood Prince
A group of people walked into the living room, talking and laughing. The Christmas tree was hung with bells and colorful stars, and there were mountains of gift packages and firecrackers under the tree. The most shocking thing was the little angel on the top of the tree, which turned out to be an ugly garden gnome.
The poor goblin had been put under a Stunning Charm, painted gold, stuffed into a little tutu, and had a pair of little wings glued to his back. It was obvious that Fred had done this.
Just because the goblin was ignorant of the immensity of heaven and earth, he bit Fred on the ankle, and then he was turned into this horrible state.
Ada swore to heaven that this was the ugliest angel she had ever seen, an angel with hairy legs, just like a potato seed that had turned into a spirit.
Fortunately, Ada didn't have to stare at the potato spirit any longer, as she and Percy arrived at the right time. Before Ada could find a sofa to sit down, Mrs. Weasley called everyone to the restaurant.
The sumptuous dinner was all Mrs. Weasley's specialty.
When Percy saw the parsnip roots on the table and the twins' malicious eyes, he almost ran away in panic, but fortunately Sirius blocked his way. Of course, Fred and George didn't intend to really splash the sauce on their brother's face.
Once again eating at the same table with Ron, the Hogwarts glutton, Ada was ready for battle for the first time in a long time.
Led by Sirius and the twins, the atmosphere at the table was very good, with laughter everywhere. Even Fleur didn't complain and sat next to Bill, showing off her love as if no one was around.
After learning that the drinks Ada brought were from Thicknesse's personal collection, Sirius immediately said that he would take advantage of the Ministry of Magic this time, and then he gave everyone a spin, winning applause.
Mrs. Weasley's face was flushed. She had just drunk some wine and was talking to Lupin non-stop. Ada listened to a few words while eating. It seemed that she was persuading Lupin to accept someone's love.
Whether in school or after leaving school, Ada felt that Remus Lupin was a gentle person.
Although Lupin has his hairy little problems, he is worth it. Whoever the woman is (it should be the woman...), she has found a treasure. Lupin is definitely a treasure boy. Wait, it should be a treasure uncle.
After the meal, the family sat in the living room, each with a glass of eggnog.
The radio was playing the song of Celestina, Mrs. Weasley's favorite singer. She sang the song "You Hooked My Heart with Magic" and Mrs. Weasley sang along with the music.
Mr. Weasley's eyes were full of love, and he was beating the beat seriously, while Sirius and Lupin beside him seemed particularly perfunctory. Bill played Fleur, and the two of them danced to the music, a handsome man and a beautiful woman.
Ron's eyes widened at the sweet scene, but before he could learn a few tricks from his elder brother, he was ruthlessly called away by his good brother Harry.
The children poured into Ron's room, and the small space was immediately filled.
Ada sat on Ron's bed, with the twins sitting on either side of her like bodyguards, while Ginny and Harry sat close together on the other bed.
Originally, Aida didn't plan to participate, but after seeing this scene, she didn't want to go downstairs! Although the elderly CP she liked wasn't sweet, this couple should be sweet.
But this beautiful picture was broken when Ron entered the room last.
He sat down between Harry and Ginny, abruptly separating the two people who were sitting together. The atmosphere suddenly changed from pink to a little awkward, but Ron, the instigator, was unaware.
Ada and the twins covered their faces at the same time. It was simply unbearable to watch.
"What's the matter, Harry?" asked Ron Weasley, the clever one from childhood. "What's the matter with calling everyone here?"
"We're very busy people right now, Harry," said Fred, smiling. "You'll have to pay a consultation fee to talk to us."
Harry ruffled his hair, not knowing how to get into the topic he wanted to talk about. While he was gathering his thoughts, Ginny spoke for him.
Ginny asked, "Ada, you are well-informed, knowledgeable, and have a good memory... So, do you know the Half-Blood Prince?" Ada was a little flattered by the compliments, but when she heard the word "Half-Blood Prince", she fell back to the ground. Ginny is an outgoing child, so why is her elbow so outward?
"I don't know. I've never heard of it." Ada said without thinking, "Why, is this a new title that Harry came up with?"
Ada really didn't know. The Half-Blood Prince, this middle school atmosphere couldn't be suppressed no matter how hard he tried. If Ada had heard or seen it, she would definitely remember it and tell it to the twins as a joke.
This is Britain, with a queen who has been in office for a long time, and naturally there is also a prince, but his surname is not Porter.
In addition, although wizards live here and live under the rule of the queen, they have no princes or nobles.
Some ancient wizard families did obtain the title of nobility, like the fief of Malfoy Manor, but those were all old and insignificant things, not to mention that other wizards would not admit it, and even they themselves would not bring it up.
If you get too involved with Muggles and show closeness, you will be branded a wizard traitor, like Weasley.
Hearing Ada's familiar words, Harry cried out that he was wronged. He couldn't even accept being the savior, let alone the Half-Blood Prince.
"It's not like that, Ada, it's not like that...let me explain!" Harry, feeling very wronged, spoke incoherently, but such things always get worse the more you explain them, and ambiguous smiles gradually appeared on Ada and the twins' faces.
Ginny stood up again, the little girl with her elbows outward said, "No, it's Harry's second-hand Potions textbook. That book belonged to the Half-Blood Prince, and there are a lot of things written on it."
Ginny acted like a spokesperson, explaining the whole thing.
Originally, Harry's test scores were not good enough to enter the advanced Potions class, but Snape taught Defense Against the Dark Arts as he wished, and the new professor Slughorn allowed students who "exceeded expectations" to join the advanced class.
Being chased by Professor McGonagall to attend Potions class was not a problem, but Harry and Ron had no textbooks. Fortunately, there were some old textbooks in the Potions classroom, one of which was relatively new and the other was tattered.
I can risk my life for you, but I want a new textbook!
Harry lost the fight for the book and only got the tattered one, but it was a blessing in disguise as he got the notebook of the god of learning. With the help of the Half-Blood Prince, Harry's potion level directly surpassed that of the top student Hermione.
Poor Ron missed the chance to become the Half-Blood Prince.
After listening to Ginny and Harry's interweaving stories, as well as Ron's regretful sigh, Ada finally understood what was going on. But the problem was still there: Ada really didn't know who the Half-Blood Prince was.
Having been confined in the potion classroom for many years, Ida knew the place well, but she could find where everything was with her eyes closed. There were indeed some old textbooks in the cabinet of the potion classroom, but Ida had never found any secret book of the Half-Blood Prince.
If the book had been kept in the Potions classroom all the time, it would still be Harry Potter's turn!
If there are such secret books in the Potions Classroom, do you think Ada and "Mr. Hu and Mr. Fatty" read them for nothing?
"Tell me more about that book, the Half-Blood Prince's notes," Ada said. She felt ashamed just to mention the nickname.
Harry didn't even need to recall the notes of the Half-Blood Prince, he memorized them by heart. If he was this serious in class, his grades would definitely improve a lot.
Listening to the contents of the book, especially the special methods of processing materials and the "unstandardized" operations of brewing potions, a sense of familiarity came over me. Isn't this respecting my teacher Severus Snape!
I never thought, I never thought that you, an old bat, would have such a day. Your dark history has been caught by me!
Ada thought so.
