Chapter 555 Men become bad when they have money

It was still the Ministry of Magic in London, and it was still an office in the Ministry, but this time the twins moved from the Minister's office to an office next to the Minister's office.

Before entering, the twins were still a little hesitant. Although they heard Laura's familiar voice, they were still on guard. But the thoughts in their hearts still made them follow the unfamiliar witch in.

As soon as they entered the room, the witch's face changed, turning into the Lola they were familiar with, and the two brothers let down their guard.

The changes to Laura's face weren't caused by Polyjuice Potion or Disguisemagus, but a simple sleight of hand.

It's not a very clever trick, and people with strong magic power can easily see through it. If it's just used to fool the employees of the Ministry of Magic, this method is still effective.

The twins had a lot of questions in their hearts, but Laura didn't want to explain anything and led the two brothers inside. After opening another door, Fred and George saw Ada, whom they had not seen for a long time.

Wearing a black dress with blooming roses embroidered with gold thread, and long golden hair hanging softly behind her head, Ada stood in front of the window, enjoying the virtual sunshine in the ministry.

"Go out, I really don't want to see you now, Miss Laura Fournier." Ida muttered, "My heart is not broad enough to accommodate you..."

As she spoke, Ada turned around, and then she saw the twins behind Laura, and their badly-tasted magenta wizard robes. With red clothes and red hair, Fred and George's aesthetics seemed to have gone a little off when Ada was away.

"Then I'll go. After all, I have a broad mind." Laura said. She liked teasing Ada and seeing Ada get frustrated. This was her unique way of taking care of Ada.

The eyesore left, and only Ada and the twins were left in the room. There was no silence, Ada could often see the twins, but Fred and George could not see her.

Ada walked towards the twins, making clicking sounds as she circled around them, complaining about their increasingly deviant aesthetics, from the green dragon leather jackets to the magenta robes.

It was not until the twins could no longer bear it that Ada stopped talking and gave the right to ask questions to the two brothers.

Fred and George were responsible for the questions and Ada was responsible for the answers, from her arrest, to Mr. Weasley becoming the head of the Law Enforcement Department, to today's order.

The order for the three-piece defense suit had nothing to do with Ada. Although she lived in the Ministry of Magic, she did not interfere with Thicknesse in all aspects. The daily administration of the Ministry of Magic was still in the hands of Thicknesse, and Ada had no interest in intervening, nor did she have the time to intervene.

"When you played with fire, Mom was very worried about you," Fred said. "She cried secretly several times."

Ada pursed her lips and didn't respond. Her sudden silence was noticed by George, who patted the back of Fred's hand and told his twin brother to change the subject and not talk about this.

Fred took a deep breath, slapped his knees with both hands, and said, "Tell me, do you have any plans? Don't abandon us brothers again. We want to help you in every way we can. We are not used to seeing your news in the newspaper and hearing your news from other people."

The two brothers had sincere expressions and sincere tones. They really wanted to be with Ada and help her share the burden. Habits are sometimes terrible things. They will affect your life all the time.

Ada said nothing, and kept rubbing her white fingers.

She also wanted her best friend to be by her side and face the difficulties together. But Ada didn't want to drag the twins into danger because of her own selfish desires. The road she was going to take was destined to be full of blood and rain. The closer they were to her, the closer they were to danger.

Of the two brothers, George was more thoughtful and he saw Ada's dilemma.

George said, "Ada, why do you have to make the decision yourself? Why don't you let us decide where we are? Don't you think your current behavior and thoughts are...too overbearing?"

Ada looked up at the twins and slowed down the pace of twirling her fingers.

Fred continued, "And about Dad. How could Thickness have promoted Dad without your permission, and promoted him to the position of director right away? He's already standing behind you. What's missing is the two of us?"

"I admit that my behavior was a bit selfish," Ida said, "but there's nothing I can do about it..." Fred interrupted Ida and said angrily, "You don't treat us like children! You are only one year older than us. No, you're less than one year old!"

He pointed at the robe he was wearing and continued, "Look at this robe, the brand! It's very expensive!"

"But it's really ugly..." Ada muttered, "It's so ugly that it's unbearable to look at."

Fred's rage was choked back at once. He sat back on the sofa angrily, crossed his arms and looked at Ada, his face full of expression: I'm angry, very angry, the kind that can't be appeased.

"We are not discussing with you whether the robe is ugly or not!"

This is the advantage of having twins. When one person puts out the fire, the other can step up. Fred was choked by his words, and George took over the baton and began to denounce Ida's dictatorship.

"I've heard about the Department of Mysteries from Harry, Ron, and Ginny as well," George continued. "Have you ever wondered why there were six people in the Department of Mysteries instead of just Harry?"

Without giving Ada a chance to speak, George continued, "That's because they don't want Harry to be alone. They can't bear to see him face danger alone. They've only known each other for a few years, and we've known each other for a long time. If they can't bear it, can we bear it too? Or is the relationship between the three of us not as good as we brothers think?"

These are serious words. If the tone were harsher, it would sound like a scene of severing ties of friendship.

Ada was silent again. She knew more about what happened in the Department of Mysteries than the twins. Although Ada was angry with Ron and scolded him a few times, she knew that if she were replaced by Ron, she would follow Harry to the Ministry of Magic without hesitation.

"I understand. I'll consider it." Ada said softly, and her words sounded a little perfunctory.

The twins didn't think so. They didn't think Ada was stalling. This word "consider" was actually Ada's promise. If she said she would consider it, she would definitely consider it carefully.

Fred and George did not continue to raise the stakes. Anyway, the brothers had already made up their minds. Now that they knew Ada was hiding in the Ministry of Magic, they would never let her slip away again.

"By the way, have you been in touch with your cousin Hector recently?" Fred suddenly asked, remembering something.

"No, what's wrong?" Ada didn't understand why Fred suddenly asked Hector why, and gave a confused answer.

Fred nodded and said, "There's a new person in the family recently. It's not Harry, nor Hermione. Guess who it is?"

"Fleur Delacour," said Ada. "I can think of no one else."

Fred first mentioned Hector and then asked this question. The answer was naturally the person that Hector wanted but couldn't get.

"Boring." Fred leaned back on the sofa dejectedly. "Bill is engaged to Miss Delacour, which means we have a new sister-in-law, a not very likable one."

George continued, "No one in the family likes her very much, except Bill... oh, and Ron. But it's enough that Bill likes her, after all, it's the two of them who are getting married, not us."

Although the twins were talking about Weasley's family affairs, which was a happy event, Ada felt that their thoughts were not simple and they were using Bill and Fleur's marriage to allude to her.

Marriage is a matter between Bill and Fleur, but whether the twins continue to stand by Ada's side is a matter between the three of them, and it is not something Ada can decide alone.

Ada tilted her head and looked at the twins, thinking to herself: Men become bad when they have money, the ancients were right.
