The Hogwarts Emerald

Chapter 522 Unparalleled Magnificence

Chapter 522 Unparalleled Magnificence
The blue flames surrounding the main building receded, and Sergei and the others walked out with support. Compared to the six people before, only four people walked out of the house at this time, and all of them were injured.

Even though there were only four of them left, Sergei and the others still stood firmly behind Ada, without any dissatisfaction or retreat.

After the battle broke out, this was the first time that both sides stopped, and neither Ada nor the Ministry of Magic attacked again, all because of the arrival of one person. Dumbledore stood in front of Fudge, picked up a bird chick on the ground and put it in his pocket.

Under Ada's continuous bombardment, the people in the Ministry of Magic had already given up and didn't want to fight anymore. If they continued to fight, they might be able to capture Ada alive or even kill her, but they would also have to pay a heavy price.

Now that Dumbledore had arrived, the fighting spirit of these people was further weakened. Except for a few people, the rest breathed a sigh of relief. They all remembered the girl in front of them. They witnessed a great and unfortunate moment.

Through the dense rain curtain, Dumbledore looked at Ada. There was worry and confusion in his blue pupils, but no blame or hatred.

"Stop it, Ada," said Dumbledore, and his words reached Ada's ears through the layers of raindrops.

Ada, who was out of breath, smiled and asked, "Professor, things have developed to this point today. How can it be resolved by just saying stop?"

In this abandoned manor, Ada lost two of her subordinates. Although the Ministry of Magic did not keep statistics, there should be many casualties. The two sides made a mortal feud that night, which could not be resolved by simply stopping.

Even though it was Dumbledore who said this.

"Too many people have been killed and injured tonight. Don't go on like this." Dumbledore continued, "Turn back and don't make the same mistake again. You know very well that killing won't solve the problem."

Ada was still breathing heavily. She had maintained the magic barrier for such a long time and cast several large spells in succession, which consumed a lot of her energy.

In the magic world, magic reserves are a very confusing thing. You will rarely see someone unable to cast spells due to insufficient magic reserves, but this thing does exist.

Fortunately, Ada is a bug, and her mana recovery rate is very fast. In addition, with the help of other items, she can recover her combat effectiveness in a short time after leaving the battle. It can be said that she is now the person who is least afraid of a protracted battle.

"Professor, you are always so wishful," Ada said. "That morning at St. Mungo's, you should have stopped me or done what I said. You did neither, and things ended up like this today."

Ada's choice and her recklessness were certainly due to her own personality and style of doing things, but Dumbledore also had some responsibility. Dumbledore's laissez-faire attitude towards the Ministry of Magic and his inaction despite knowing Ada's personality made things out of control.

If we really have to rank the culprits, Ada is the first, that's for sure. Dumbledore is second, followed by Cornelius Fudge and Umbridge, the instigator of the incident.

"I remember you were a sunshine-loving child, Ada," said Dumbledore. "I wonder if you looked at it when you went back. The cottage is still the same, with the rocking chair in front of the window."

"Yes, I like sunshine, it makes me feel warm." Ada lowered her head and looked at the ground wet by the rain. "But professor, where there is sunshine, there is shadow. And now the sunshine is blocked by dark clouds, leaving only endless darkness. What I have to do is to clear the clouds and see the sun."

Dumbledore seemed to be hurt by this. He paused for a moment before continuing to ask, "Even if you will become part of the darkness?"

"I originally came from darkness, but I crave the warmth of the sun." Ida said with a smile, "Now I return to darkness, why not?"

Ida looked up at the sky. The rain was gradually getting lighter, but it was already night and the sun would not rise until tomorrow morning. Ida said, "Professor, maybe you should go meet him. He is more aware of life than you are now."

Dumbledore did not speak, he drew his wand. After all, it had to be a fight, the headmaster of Hogwarts wanted to stop his best student and did not want his student to be trapped in the dark.

Is that the legendary invincible Elder Wand?

This was the first thought in Ada's mind when she saw Dumbledore take out his wand. Ada clenched her yew wand tightly and did not back down just because the other party was Dumbledore or had the Elder Wand.

Ada knew very well that this battle was inevitable. She turned her head and whispered, "Wait for me at the old place... Bring their bodies with you."

Sergei did not obey the order immediately. He took a deep look at Ada's back before leading the remaining three people back to the house. The people from the Ministry of Magic did not stop them. The next height was beyond their reach.

"Professor, this is our last chance to convince each other." Ada said.

After saying that, Ada took the lead and attacked without any reservation. Facing Dumbledore, if Ada dared to be arrogant again, she might as well put down her wand and surrender. It was never too careful to be one-on-one with Dumbledore.

The red light was so bright that it was hard to open one's eyes. Dumbledore raised his hand, and a red light shot out. The two spells collided with each other with a loud bang, and then deflected, stirring up a burst of dirt and gravel. Ada attacked Dumbledore again, and a white light flew towards him. Dumbledore turned around, and his robes suddenly spun and disappeared.

When Dumbledore reappeared, he stood behind Ada. Along with him appeared a giant made of mud and stone, taller than the ivory-white house, and he clasped his fists and smashed down hard towards Ada's position.

The attack range of the mud giant was huge, and it was impossible to dodge it even if she moved left or right. Ida turned into a ball of black mist and flew backwards. While flying, Ida waved her magic wand, and a visible air wave flew towards the mud giant.

The air ripples caused by magic passed through the giant's legs, and its calves were severed as if they had been chopped by a sharp blade. The cut was neat and smooth, and the tall giant suddenly became shorter.

Ada did not stop, and before she landed, she shook her wrist neatly and drew a circle. The surrounding rain was drawn again, forming a water tornado that attacked Dumbledore.

Before the waterspout reached Dumbledore, Ida was surrounded by jumping trees and green plants as soon as she landed. Dumbledore was worthy of the title of the greatest white wizard, and his attack was launched later but arrived first.

The branches of the tree tightly wrapped around Ada, wrapping her like a cocoon. Just when everyone thought the outcome was decided, the fire ignited again, and Ada, bathed in fire, broke through the siege.

Dumbledore knew very well that such a trick could not trap Ada, so he did not stop, but repaired the clay giant.

The "reborn" mud giant became even taller, and it held the waterspout in its hand like a whip. With a raised hand, the giant swung the long whip towards Ada.

Ada raised her left hand, and the shield appeared to block the water whip, which immediately dissipated. Although Ada resolved the crisis, the huge impact still pressed her body down, forcing her to do a lunge.

Dumbledore and his clay giant were not letting anyone off the hook, and they punched at her again. If this punch had landed on Ada, her small body would have been broken.

The fierce punch missed again. When it comes to the ability to escape, Ada is second to none and no one dares to claim to be first.

Ada's figure disappeared out of thin air and appeared on the giant's huge fist. With a scratch and a stab of the magic wand, the giant's fist broke and its chest was pierced.

A ball of fire suddenly rose from the giant's chest and attacked Ada again. As it flew, it turned into the shape of a phoenix, and its body became bigger and bigger, as if it could devour everything.

After being suppressed by Dumbledore continuously, Ada's mentality did not lose balance, which was expected. In danger, Ada waved her wand calmly, and the rain condensed into a majestic lion in front of her, biting the flaming phoenix.

It seems that the battle between Dumbledore and Ada is not as exciting as before, but in fact, both of them have used Transfiguration to the extreme. If it were someone else, I'm afraid they would have gone to see Merlin long ago.

The meeting of water and fire produced thick mist, which made it difficult to see clearly. When everyone regained their vision, Dumbledore stood in front of them again. The phoenix and lion were gone, and the mud giants were scattered all over the ground.
If it weren't for Ada standing on the railing on the second floor, everyone would have thought that everything that had just happened was just a fantasy in their minds. Everything that happened today made these people feel the wonder of magic again.

"Your growth has far exceeded my expectations," said Dumbledore. "I am full of curiosity about your future, but..." At this point, Dumbledore's eyes became a little dim. He hoped that Ada's future would be colorful, not any other color.

Ada brushed the hair away from her eyes and said, "That's because I met two very good teachers. One is you, and the other is as good as you." She did not say Grindelwald's name, not because she did not dare, but because she did not want to be nosy.

Since being defeated by Dumbledore, Grindelwald has imprisoned himself in Nurmengard. Ada doesn't want to mention his name and let irrelevant people disturb his peace.

Ada, who was standing on the second floor, thrust out her wand like a sword, and another bright red light shone from above. Dumbledore also swung his wand, which looked like old people's radio gymnastics and also like whipping.

The collision produced a huge impact, which expanded outward in a circular shape with the intersection of the two spells as the center. The collision shattered all the remaining glass in the mansion, and the house shook and was about to collapse.

On the other side, some trees and flowers were uprooted, carrying dirt and sand and flying out of the courtyard. The people in the Ministry of Magic also bent down and tried their best to resist.

When the dazzling light faded, the manor was in a mess, most of the wildly grown trees were destroyed, and the ivory-white buildings collapsed.

Dumbledore stared at the collapsed building in a daze, while the others looked around, but there was no trace of Ada in the manor.

Even if she was no match for Dumbledore and chose to escape, no one dared to underestimate Ada's strength. Look at Dumbledore with white hair, and then think about Ada with blonde hair and blue eyes. She was only eighteen or nineteen years old!

No one dared to imagine how stunning and charming Esmeralda Drizzt would be one year, five years, or ten years later!
