Chapter 506 Rose's Funeral

Chapter 506 Rose's Funeral

There was a drizzle outside the window, but the person inside was still chattering, unwilling to stop and appreciate this precious spring rain.

Ida was just setting a trap, so she couldn't just back down and give in, which led to a stalemate between the two parties. One party wanted to swallow up a large amount of property, while the other party refused verbally.

Just as the noise continued, the door of the conference hall was roughly pushed open. It was Thierry and Henry, a grandfather and grandson.

"Have you had enough of this?" Thierry shouted. "How long are you going to continue this? Do you want everyone to laugh at the Rosier family? You are a bunch of idiots!"

The noise in the conference room suddenly stopped, and the Rosiers at the long table looked at Thierry.

He was seen with a frown on his face, holding his cane in his hand like a sword. The raindrops on his body did not make him look embarrassed, but made his expression even more ferocious.

Rozier and the others didn't know what to do for a moment and looked at Alan for help.

Alan stood up slowly. He looked at Ada, then at Thierry and his grandson, his eyes full of viciousness.

He thought Thierry had abandoned his family and chosen to side with Ada. But it didn't matter, Thierry and Henry would be a disaster sooner or later if they stayed together.

"We have already decided on the first two points. As for the remaining one... don't worry, we can talk about it slowly." Alan continued his threat, "We will be able to reach an agreement one day."

After saying that, Alan led a group of Roziers out of the conference room.

As Alan passed by Thierry and Henry, he looked at them with disdain and said, "My uncle is getting worse as he gets older. He used to follow Aunt Vida, but now... it's really shameful!"

Soon, Ada, Thierry and Henry were the only ones left in the conference room.

Thierry looked at Ada, who remained silent, with a complicated look in his eyes. There was disappointment, sadness, and a little worry in his eyes. Thierry sighed and walked upstairs without saying a word.

Henry wanted to go upstairs as well, but Ada stopped him.

"Wait a minute, Henry, let's talk." Seeing Henry stop, Ada continued, "You seem to have been avoiding me for more than a year. Is it my illusion?"

"Of course it's your illusion!" Henry said, "I'm busy working. If I don't make more progress, my grandfather will break my legs."

Ada said softly, "You were not like this before." Suddenly, she laughed again and continued, "Yes, I have only known you for a short time, what are you talking about before?"

The two stopped talking. There seemed to be an invisible membrane between them, blocking them.

Henry hesitated a little, should he stay here or go upstairs to visit Vida. Just as he was struggling, there was a sound of running, and Thierry rushed into the meeting room in anger.

Thierry pushed Henry aside and came to Ada, grabbed her collar with both hands and lifted her up from the chair. Thierry asked angrily, "What did you give her to drink?"

At this moment, Laura appeared at the door of the conference hall in a panic, holding Thierry's cane.

"Did he see everything?" Ada looked at Laura while being carried. Seeing Laura nod sadly, Ada scolded, "Useless thing!"

"I'm asking you, what did you give her to drink?" Thierry asked. Henry beside him kept trying to persuade her, but he just refused to let go. His veiny hands seemed to want to lift Ada over his head and throw her to the ground.

"Since you've seen it all, why are you asking me?" Ada said, her tone as if she was talking about a trivial matter. "You've lived for so many years, you can recognize unicorn blood, right?"

While Ada and Henry were talking downstairs, Thierry went upstairs to visit Vida and happened to meet Laura who was carrying medicine. Seeing that Laura looked a little flustered, as if she didn't expect him to be here, Thierry was a little suspicious.

So Thierry wanted to see what medicine Laura brought, but Laura turned around and walked away, ignoring him. Thierry hurriedly chased after her, but accidentally knocked over the medicine in Laura's hand.

The silvery, glowing blood instantly spilled all over the ground and then sank into the carpet in the next instant.

This led to the current scene in the conference room, where Thierry grabbed Ada's collar and questioned her.

"Do you know that by doing this you will curse her for the rest of her life!" Thierry asked loudly, his voice coming out from between clenched teeth.

"Of course I know." Ada said nonchalantly, "This is the only way she can survive."

Thierry loosened his hands, as if he was frightened by Ada's answer again. Henry hurriedly helped Thierry sit down, and Laura also stepped forward to protect Ada, not giving Thierry the chance to get close again.

"What kind of monster did Vida keep at home?" Thierry muttered, "A madman, a complete madman..."

With Henry's help, Thierry trembled and walked out of the meeting room. Henry did not dare to delay and hurriedly left with his grandfather, fearing that his grandfather would find out something and get so angry that he would have a cerebral hemorrhage.

After the grandparents left, Laura smoothed Ada's collar and said, "Is it too much?"

"I don't trust any of the Rosier family." Ada didn't move, letting Laura help her tidy up her clothes. "Has the letter been sent?"

"Sergei has already left and will be in England tonight." Laura replied, "But, this letter is so important, why only let Sergei go alone? What if he is discovered by Alan and the others, or is caught?"

Ada looked out the window. The rain was getting heavier. She said, "I believe in Sergey's skills and I believe he will never betray me."

If Laura's unfortunate prediction came true, Alan discovered Sergei who went to England alone, or Sergei thought Vida was dying and chose to betray him, it would not matter which one it was.

Because the letter in Sergei's hand was also fake, he had to go all the way with the show.

……

This spring rain came and went until it stopped completely two days later.

Versailles after the rain has a different kind of magic, and in the Rose Manor came the news that Rosier had been waiting for for a long time - Vida finally died.

Alan Rozier led a funeral committee that was quickly formed and could not wait to arrange all the funeral arrangements. Vida Rozier died at midnight, and the funeral committee planned to hold the funeral in the early morning.

There were only the Rosier family members at the manor, and almost all of them were there. No friends came to pay their respects, because there was no time to notify anyone other than Rosier.

It was as if seeing these outsiders would cause Vida, who had stopped breathing, to come back to life.

In the spacious hall, Vida Rozier was placed in a coffin that had been prepared long ago, and the Roziers gathered in a circle to mourn. However, there was not much sadness among these people, as they were all blinded by Alan's promise and dazzled by the bright gold.

Alan was the last to arrive, and he was accompanied by a sturdy man of the same height and girth as his waist. That was the Rozier he trusted the most, Pres Rozier.

After the memorial service, Vida's coffin was carried onto a carriage and driven out of Rose Manor and towards Rosier's family cemetery.

Unlike Lestrange, who is also a pure-blood family, the Rosier family cemetery is not in Père Lachaise Cemetery or other famous cemeteries. The Rosier family cemetery is hidden in a small cemetery in Versailles.

The carriage carrying the coffin finally stopped at this unknown cemetery, and the funeral procession also stopped.

The small cemetery was filled with members of the Rosier family or married daughters of the Rosier family.

Ada was surrounded by several people with bad intentions, all alone, so pitiful. Daniel and others were not allowed to attend the funeral. Alan walked towards a conspicuous statue, which was a woman wearing a wreath, with roses growing around her feet, and a line of words engraved on the base - even if it is full of thorns, the magic is still with Rosier.

Alan placed his hand on the sculpture, then he took a few steps back, away from the statue.

The woman wearing a wreath suddenly jumped down from the base of the statue, and the stone base rumbled apart, revealing a wide stone staircase that extended underground.

The coffin was lifted off the carriage, and the people who carried the coffin were carefully selected by Alan Rozier. These people would accompany him to carry the coffin into the tomb and complete the last step of the entire funeral.

"Twistedt, although you will have no connection with Rosier after today, I will mercifully allow you to enter the tomb with me," Alan Rosier said, condescendingly, as if he was pitying Ada.

"However, according to our ancestral teachings, you must disarm before entering," Alan said, "Don't doubt it. We are the same."

"Okay," Ada said. As Vida's direct relative, she should have entered the tomb.

What surprised everyone present was that Ada did not walk towards Henry who was supporting Thierry (the two families have always been good friends), but walked towards Hector's family.

Ada took out her wand and asked, "Hector, can I still trust you now?"

Unlike his parents who had frowning eyebrows, Hector looked sad and was obviously truly grieving over Vader's death, although he did not have a very deep relationship with Vader.

Hector looked up, somewhat puzzled as to why Ada chose him. He nodded heavily, took the yew wand, and said, "I'll wait for you to come out anyway."

Ada smiled, but she didn't really mean to smile, it seemed like she just wanted to laugh.

"I want to go in too," Thierry said. Although his voice was not loud, everyone present could hear it clearly. This was not an excessive request. In terms of blood relationship, Thierry was closer than Ada.

"Of course." Alan Rozier was overjoyed. "Is there anyone else who wants to come in with us?"

Rozier in the cemetery was silent. No one wanted to enter the deep underground tomb. They just wanted to sit and collect money, and didn't want to get involved in this mess.

The six bearers of the coffin walked up the stone steps first, Vincent among them, Alain followed closely behind, Ada lagged a few steps behind, and behind them came Thierry, who was trembling.

Thierry gave Henry the wand for safekeeping, and he did not let Henry go down with him. This was the last thing he could do for Vida, and he did not want to drag Henry into this.

The crowd continued to move downwards, and the darkness gradually swallowed up the sunlight. Only the torches on both sides of the corridor brought a ray of light, which was dim and unclear.

At the end of the stone steps was a tall stone door with intricate patterns and Rosier patterns carved on it. Alan walked past the people carrying the coffin, stood in front of the stone door, and stretched out his hands to press on it.

The stone door slowly opened, revealing the underground tomb inside.

This is a very spacious circular tomb, all the decorations are carved from stone. The eternally burning magic fire is the only source of light in the tomb.

In the middle of the tomb chamber is a towering stone platform with stone decorations carved into books on it. Surrounding the tomb chamber are small arches leading to different tomb chambers.

Led by Alan, the pallbearers, Ada and Thierry walked towards the archway opposite the stone door at the entrance, which was the resting place of the souls of Vida's branch of Rosier.

Many coffins were placed in order behind the arch, and Vida's coffin was placed next to Louis. Then the coffin bearers withdrew, leaving only Ada and Thierry, and Alain standing next to the arch.

Ada pushed open the coffin lid and looked at Vida lying inside, her hands folded on her chest with her wand placed between her hands.

Thierry trembled as he stepped forward, holding the coffin with both hands, and sobbed. The sobs echoed in the tomb, sending chills down the spine of Alain Rosier who was standing beside him.

"Okay, let's go out now." Alan said impatiently. He still had things to do and didn't want to waste time here.

Thierry looked up at Alan by the arch, and then at Ada, who had no expression on her face. Thierry clenched his fists, feeling sad. He felt that he was the only one who felt sad for Vida.

After taking a last reluctant look, Thierry restored the coffin and returned to the circular tomb in the middle with Ada and Alain.

Alan did not open the stone door at the entrance of the tomb, but walked straight to the stone platform in the center of the tomb. As he walked, he said, "Vida Rozier is finally dead. The big rock pressing on my head is finally gone. I can do whatever I want."

"Don't be so presumptuous!" Thierry shouted loudly, and the silent tomb was filled with his roar.

"Shut up, you old fool!" Fan Shang jumped out, "You can only follow behind Vida and be a pathetic yes-man. If it weren't for that old guy Vida, the family wouldn't be what it is today!"

Ada, who had been silent all this time, finally spoke. She asked, "Alan Rozier, Louis' death has something to do with you, right?"

Alan stood on the platform in the middle, his hands on either side of the stone book. He smiled and said, "Of course, how could I allow the shame of the family to continue to live? Louis must die."

“How dare you!” Thierry was shaking with anger. “How dare you do this? That’s your brother!”

"Why shouldn't he dare? Why shouldn't he dare?" Ada said, her clear words echoing in the crypt. "Who made Louis and him a contender for the heir? If Louis changes his mind, he won't be able to keep his position as heir."

Alan was very pleased with himself on the platform. He smiled and said, "You are right. That is absolutely right! So how could I let Louis go? So I found my relatives in England and we hit it off. With Evan's help, I found Louis and injured him."

Alan's smile gradually became perverted and arrogant.

He continued, "I have already thought about how to torture Louis, who brought shame to the family, and how to torture that dirty Muggle woman. But we only found Louis in his hiding place, and that dirty Muggle woman was not there!"

Alan's recollection continued. He went on to say, "I wanted to know the whereabouts of that woman, but Louis refused to tell me anything. Time was running out and I couldn't stay there for too long. I had no choice but to kill Louis, who brought shame to the family, and hurried back, leaving the task of finding that woman to Evan."

"Did Evan Rozier find her?" Ada asked. She wanted to know Jessica's whereabouts, but she was afraid of getting any news about Jessica from Alan Sky, which might mean that Jessica had died long ago.

"No, Evan never found that dirty woman until he died." Alan said, "It was because of Evan's uselessness that I lived in fear for so many years, fearing that Vida would find any clues from that year!"

Thierry said angrily, "You don't dare to attack Vida, so you have been weakening her influence in the family over the years, hoping to give her a fatal blow when she is weak!"

"Yes, the plan went smoothly." Alan pointed at Ada and said, "But this evil creature came, and all my years of hard work went to waste! But it doesn't matter, the Dark Lord is back, and Vida is finally dead. Although there were some twists and turns, everything turned out the way I wanted."

As he spoke, Alan placed his hand on the stone book.

The stone-carved book suddenly opened, emitting bursts of golden light. In the golden light, there was a tree full of names. It was Rosier's family tree. There was a blooming rose next to the name of the living, and a withered rose next to the name of the dead.

"I can finally erase Louis' name and wash away the shame of my family!" Alan said proudly.

Then, Alan looked at Ada and continued, "You must watch carefully, because this is the last scene of your short life. Your body will leave the Rosier family along with Louis' name!"

"Really?" Ida said, "I suggest you take another good look."

Hearing this, Alan looked at the family tree, his face turned pale instantly, and cold sweat ran down his face. He saw that the rose belonging to Vida Rozier was still in full bloom.
