Chapter 503: Vida is Sudden Illness

Chapter 503: Vida is Sudden Illness

The cold and harsh winter is gradually fading away, but the warm and gentle spring is still slow to arrive. The windows of the manor are still frosted and foggy, making the scenery outside the windows particularly hazy.

Ada still feeds the pigeons every morning, but her thoughts are completely different. Ada no longer empties herself, and no longer thinks about Dumbledore and Voldemort. Instead, she thinks about the Rosier family and the old things that happened more than ten years ago.

Some old things have been left unsaid for too long, so long that Ada always ignores certain things and certain people.

But ignoring and neglecting it doesn't mean that Ada really forgot it. She just didn't have the time to pay attention to it, so some clowns kept jumping around in the dark, making them mistakenly think that Ada was cowardly.

After feeding the pigeons as usual, Ada walked back to the room and came to Vida's bed.

In mid-February, Vida fell ill. His illness was sudden, strange, and serious.

Years of imprisonment have taken away Vida's health, and the departure and sudden death of his adopted son Louis have made Vida like a candle in the wind.

If Vida Rozier hadn't known that he had a granddaughter wandering around, and if he hadn't found Ada, he might not have survived until now. Vida fell down due to his chronic illness and the sudden illness.

Today is the seventh day that Vida has been ill and the third day that she has been in a coma.

Ada sat in front of the bed without any expression. Next to her hand was a thin booklet, which was the medical instructions left by the therapist.

There was a knock on the door, and Daniel Dubois walked into the room. He was a man whom Vida trusted very much, and he was one of the three people that Vida wanted to leave with Ada.

Ada often saw Sergei and Laura, but she rarely met Daniel. It was not that Ada or Daniel deliberately avoided contact, but Daniel was usually responsible for some business matters, which Ada was not interested in.

If Vida (Aida) is the boss, Daniel Dubois is the chief manager.

Looking at the unconscious Vida and her increasingly thin face, Daniel rubbed his eyes sadly. He whispered, "Miss, is the lady still not awake today?"

Since Vida fell ill, Daniel came to the manor at least once a day.

"No. I think she is probably too tired and wants to have a good sleep." Ada said softly, "Let's go out and talk, so as not to disturb her rest."

With that, Ada left the room. After Ada left, two witches wearing the same green clothes as St. Mungo's came into the room and took care of the unconscious Vida instead of her.

In the room next to Vida, Ada and Daniel sat on either side of a table with exquisite snacks on it. But no matter how exquisite the snacks were, Daniel had no interest in them.

Ada broke a piece of cake into pieces. She had no intention of eating it, so the cake was broken into pieces and the crumbs fell all over the small plate.

"Miss, will the lady wake up?" Daniel asked. He was full of gratitude to Vida and had poured all his affection into the master-servant relationship over the years.

Although Vida Rozier had an adopted son, Louis, and a granddaughter, Ida, she remained unmarried throughout her life. However, Vida preferred to be called Madam, not Ms. Rozier.

Ida shook her head and said weakly, "The therapist told me to prepare for the worst. I've had several therapists, and everyone said the same thing, to prepare me for the worst."

"Fils de pute!" Ida cursed, then continued with a smile, "What preparations are there? Grandma has prepared everything. The coffin was placed in the basement of the manor long ago. It's all ready."

Even when she was cursing, Ada still had little expression, as if her facial nerves were damaged.

Daniel said dejectedly, "Miss, there are some problems with the family business, and many of our partners are now taking a wait-and-see attitude. If...if the lady never wakes up, I'm afraid..."

Ada raised her hand to stop Daniel, she didn't want to hear this. Ada knew this very well, since she appeared in the French magic world, the pure-blood families had been talking about Vida and her, and they had been watching for a long time.

Now everyone outside is waiting for Vida Rozier to die on the hospital bed, and waiting to see the infighting within the Rozier family.

When two or three parties have decided the winner, the winner will continue to represent Rozier and gain all the benefits. If both sides lose, the people waiting outside will rush in and divide up the entire Rozier.

What Rosier, what pure-blood family, are nothing but fragrant fat meat in the face of enviable interests.

Daniel wanted to say something more, but he swallowed it back. He knew that it was useless to say anything now. As long as Ada could get through the difficulties, all the problems would be solved.

At this time, Lola knocked on the door and came in. She said, "Mr. Thierry Rozier is here and is visiting his wife. Ada, he wants to talk to you alone." As soon as she finished speaking, Thierry Rozier appeared at the door.

Thierry looked haggard, with bloodshot eyes. Strangely, this time Thierry came alone, without his grandson Henry.

Ada didn't put on airs. She stood up to greet Thierry, and Daniel also said goodbye in due time.

After sitting down again, Thierry did not speak immediately, but kept looking at Ada's face. Ada let him look at her and broke another piece of cake, still breaking it into pieces.

There was a long silence, until the steam in the cup stopped rising, and Thierry finally said, "What are you going to do?"

"Why is everyone asking me what I'm going to do?" Ida said with a smile, "People in the manor ask me what I'm going to do, and you ask me what I'm going to do too. What do you think I should do?"

"Don't you have any idea at all?" Thierry asked, "Didn't Vida make any arrangements before he fell into a coma?"

Ida picked up the handkerchief on the table to clean her hands and asked, "From what position do you ask this question? As Vida Rozier's cousin, or as a Rozier?"

Thierry looked into Ada's emerald green eyes and found that those eyes were like a bottomless lake, which made it impossible to guess and see clearly.

"What's the difference?"

"The difference is huge. If Rosier asks, I will tell you that my grandmother had made all the arrangements before she fell into a coma. Anyone who dares to peek into this manor will be doomed."

"What if you are Vida's cousin?" Thierry continued to ask.

"Then I can only tell you that we are doomed." Ada said, "Before she fell into a coma, we all thought she just had a cold, including herself. Her condition inexplicably worsened and she fell into a coma. No one expected this."

Thierry stood up suddenly, lowered his voice and said, "What do you do for a living? She's sick, is this your attitude? I just caught a cold, who would believe that?"

Ada raised her head, looked at the somewhat irritable Thierry, and continued: "If I say that she was unconscious because of poisoning, can you hand over the murderer to me? If not, please sit down."

"Who did it? Alan? No, he doesn't have the guts. If he did, I would think highly of him."

Thierry sat back on the sofa, as if he was asking Ada, or as if he was talking to himself, "Vincent? No, no, he's just a spendthrift who only eats, drinks and has fun. He doesn't have that ability."

Thierry suddenly stopped talking to himself, looked at Ada steadily, and fell silent again.

"You don't think it was me, do you?" Ida asked with a smile, "I was eager to take over the family property, so I poisoned my grandmother. That's what you think at the moment, right?"

The ancients said: I am not yet strong, and when I grow strong, I will change.

People nowadays say: Is there any prince who can last for seventy years in this world?
Although the wealth accumulated by Vida Rozier is not comparable to that of the entire world, it is not impossible that someone has evil intentions. Especially since this person is so bold and the relationship between him and Vida is not deep.

Thierry observed Ada carefully and found that her clothes were neat, her hands were clean, her long hair was very smooth, and there was no trace of sadness between her brows.

Is this just a show of strength, or does he simply not care about Vader?

"You seem to think that I am in a very normal state and don't feel sad at all, right?" Ada asked.

Without waiting for Thierry to answer, she continued, "There's one thing I never understand, why do other people feel sad when someone dies? Obviously everyone will die, it's just a matter of time. Why do you think so?"

Thierry suddenly felt a surge of fear in his heart. He couldn't believe that such cold words came from the mouth of the girl in front of him!
Thierry Rozier, who was terrified, said nothing more. He quickly left the Rose Manor and returned to his own courtyard. Only then did Thierry calm down.

In the room of Rose Manor, Ada stroked the dull ring on her ring finger and murmured -

"Why are you running? I'm not a devil."
