Chapter 500 Cup

Chapter 500 Cup
The morning at St. Mungo's passed quickly. After Mr. Weasley changed his bandages, his bed was moved to the Dai Llewellyn animal bite specialist ward.

Something to note is that the name of this ward is Dai Llewellyn, not the name of the head healer.

Mr. Weasley's main healer is Hippocrates Smethwick, and the trainee healer's name is Augustus Pye. Dai Llewellyn is a very famous Quidditch player who was eaten by a chimera.

This... maybe it's for commemoration, maybe it's for warning.

In addition to Mr. Weasley, there were two other patients in this public ward, a man and a woman.

The witch's wounds had a sickening odor, and she refused to say what had bit her, so Mr. Weasley speculated that she had kept some illegal creature.

Another wizard was lying motionless on the hospital bed, staring at the ceiling. He was bitten by a werewolf.

The spirited Mr. Weasley comforted the unfortunate wizard by starting with "I have a friend", but he told Mr. Weasley to shut up, or he would bite him.

This kind of introduction is usually regarded as making up a friend out of thin air, although Mr. Weasley does have a werewolf friend named Remus Lupin.

Mr. Weasley had to take a blood-replenishing potion every hour, because Nagini's snake venom hindered the healing of the wound. If he didn't replenish his blood, Mr. Weasley would soon become a dried-up man.

After Mr. Weasley took the blood-replenishing potion for the fifth time, Mrs. Weasley brought everyone to visit him, including Moody and Tonks.

In the corridor outside the ward, Ada asked about the Ministry of Magic in a roundabout way. It seemed that the Ministry had not yet noticed that three employees were "missing".

I don’t know whether it’s because the Ministry of Magic is inefficient or if Fudge has once again chosen to cover up the matter.

Just like today's Daily Prophet, a Ministry of Magic official was bitten by a giant snake of unknown origin in the ministry and was in critical condition, but today's newspaper was still full of peace and prosperity, with no mention of Mr. Weasley's attack.

Ada felt that she might have overestimated Fudge's intelligence and courage, and she should have done it more conspicuously and more fiercely. What made Ada laugh was that she actually placed her hopes on Umbridge and was looking forward to Umbridge's performance after she knew about this.

After the children left the ward, Moody and Tonks went in to visit Mr. Weasley. The children in the corridor wanted to know what the adults talked about, so the twins took out their retractable ears and performed an overheard scene at St. Mungo's.

Ada did not participate. She knew what Mr. Weasley, Moody and Tonks were talking about. They were just talking about the giant snake that appeared in the Ministry of Magic, the prophecy ball, or Harry's ability to sense Voldemort's thoughts.

The content of their conversation was just as Ada had imagined. On the way back to Number 12, Grimmauld Place, Harry was in a bad mood and his eyebrows were about to grow together.

The Weasley children were the opposite of Harry. Seeing that their father was fine, they all smiled. The twins started teasing Ron again, while Ginny was curious about the Muggle things in the subway station.

Returning to the dark and gloomy old Blake house, Ada immediately ran upstairs to catch up on some sleep. After a night of tossing and turning, she was very tired, her mind was a mess, and her ability to think had also declined.

Ada needed to relieve her fatigue and then consider what she should do in the future. Once the arrow is shot, there is no turning back. Since she decided to leave Dumbledore, she must find her own way in her own training.

She slept until late at night. If she hadn't been hungry, Ada would have been able to sleep until tomorrow morning.

Ada got up in the dark and walked to the basement kitchen alone without disturbing Ginny who was sleeping soundly. Mrs. Weasley had reserved some food for two people, and it seemed that someone besides Ada had not eaten dinner.

Ada lit a candle and used the weak light of the flame to finish her own share. With more sleep and food in her stomach, her brain, which had been on strike, started to work at high speed again.

Just as Ada was thinking, the door of the basement kitchen was opened again, and Fred and George appeared at the door tiptoeing.

"You two..."

"I couldn't sleep, so I wanted to find something to drink." Fred said. He walked straight to a cabinet, opened the door, and hesitated for a while before taking out three bottles of butter beer.

George sat down opposite Ida, and saw the fatigue on her face that had not yet completely faded. He asked, "Ida, what exactly does Dad do at the Ministry of Magic? We won't tell anyone."

Fred sat next to George and pushed an opened bottle of butter beer in front of Ida. After taking a sip, it still had that familiar sweet taste. Ida whispered, "Mr. Weasley is guarding something, something that Tom Riddle had not obtained completely before."

"Weapons?" Fred asked. "The kind that can kill Dumbledore in one blow? Don't Muggles have cannons or something? That's what they say..."

Ada shook her head. She said, “Some things are far more powerful than weapons.”

Although the twins are good at doing business, they are still far from being good at magic and fighting.

The twins shook their heads together, no longer thinking about the things their father was guarding. Since Ada was unwilling to tell them directly, the two brothers knew that it was not appropriate to tell them such things, at least not now.

Fred added, "We overheard a conversation in the ward today, and Moody said that Harry can see through Tom's snake's eyes. What does that mean?"

"Does this mean that Harry is no longer safe?" George asked, "and what is Dumbledore worried about?"

Ada picked up the bottle. She didn't know whether she should tell him. After thinking for a long time, she said, "You never asked me about this, and I never answered it."

"We just sneaked in a little Butterbeer," the twins said, "and reminisced about our youth."

Ada pushed the candlestick between her and the twins, waved her hand and three cups flew over, and placed them side by side. Then, Ada poured some beer into the cups on the left and right, leaving the middle cup empty.

Picking up the cup on her left hand, Ada pointed upstairs, and the twins nodded. Putting the cup back on the left, she picked up the cup on her right hand and pointed outside the house, and the twins nodded again.

This time, Ida did not put down the cup on her right hand, but poured a little butter beer from the cup into the cup on her left hand. As she poured, she used her free hand to make four numbers: 1981.
Fred and George looked at each other, thought for a moment, and then nodded.

In 1981, when Voldemort attacked the Potter family, Voldemort, who was rebounded by the Killing Curse, inadvertently left some "things" for the one-year-old Harry, such as Parseltongue and the dream in 1994.

The twins' expressions became solemn. They realized the seriousness of the situation and were worried about Harry's safety.

"So Harry was able to see his father being attacked at school, thousands of miles away. Then..." Fred said, "What about him?"

Ada didn't put down the cup in her right hand, and she poured all the liquid in it into the empty cup in the middle. She put down her right hand, picked up the cup on her left, and poured the liquid into the cup in the middle.

Now, only the middle cup has butterbeer.

The twins watched Ada fiddle with the cups in silence, their brows furrowed. The two brothers drank butterbeer in big gulps to ease the tension in their hearts.

You are in me and I am in you. Not only Harry can see and sense Voldemort's thoughts, and even dream about what Voldemort is doing, but Voldemort can do the same.

This connection is not a one-way channel from Harry to Voldemort, but a mutual one. This is exactly what Dumbledore was worried about.

After all, Harry is just a child whose mind is not yet mature, and Voldemort is good at bewitching people. In front of the powerful Voldemort, Harry's mind is vulnerable.

"I think you are hiding something very important from us." George said suddenly. He looked into Ada's eyes, trying to see if Ada would avoid his gaze.

Hearing this, Fred also looked at Ada, but Ada's gaze did not evade, but met the twins instead.

"Do you believe me?" she asked.

"Believe." Fred and George replied, "Forever."
