The Hogwarts Emerald

Chapter 346 Madness

Chapter 346 Madness
It's Snape's voice! Snape also appeared in the Twilight Cabin!

The Potions Professor walked into the reception room, Snape was a little out of breath, but his face was full of irrepressible pride, his wand was always pointed at Lupin. Before Lupin pulled out his wand, Snape was sure to knock them both down in an instant.

"You may be wondering, how did I know you were here?" he said, his eyes sparkling. "I went to your office, Lupin. You had forgotten to take your medicine tonight, so I brought one with me. Fortunately... fortunately for me. There was a map on your desk, which showed you exactly where you were. I saw you coming up this passage, and then you disappeared."

"What an unexpected bonus," Snape continued, "A fugitive from Azkaban, plus a werewolf, it's a wonderful night, isn't it?"

"Calm down, Severus, calm down..." Since walking into Twilight Cabin tonight, the word Lupin said most was calm down. He was simply a ruthless calm machine.

Sirius looked confused. He shouted, "Why is Snotlout here? Remus, why are Death Eaters here in Hogwarts?"

There were three adults in the room, one was a fugitive from Azkaban, one was a werewolf, and the other was a Death Eater. Well, Harry had fallen into a den of wolves.

Harry, Ron and Hermione had calmed down from their anger, or rather, they had to calm down, because none of the three people in front of them were good people.

"Dumbledore trusts him, Sirius." Lupin explained in a low voice, "Severus is now the Potions Professor of the school."

"When did you start calling him Severus!" Sirius was dissatisfied.

"Don't call me Severus, it sounds disgusting!" Snape was even more dissatisfied.

The three adults were arguing like an old couple and their neighbor, while Harry, Ron and Hermione were completely dumbfounded. What happened tonight was too shocking to their worldviews.

Dumbledore not only believed in werewolves and let them be professors, he also trusted Death Eaters and let them be professors for so many years.

Harry's mind was in a mess now, and he couldn't tell who was the good guy. Black didn't kill him directly, but kept talking about his father and his childhood. Although Lupin helped Black, he had a hundred chances to kill him this year. Snape seemed to be here to catch Black, but he was a Death Eater and a follower of Voldemort.

Harry didn't know how to go on. He wanted to avenge his parents, but now he didn't know who to take revenge on.

"Keep calm, both of you!" Lupin shouted. "Can this be solved?"

Snape said disdainfully: "I am solving the problem, and you two are the biggest problem. I have repeatedly told the headmaster that you are helping your old friend Black sneak into the castle, Lupin, and there is evidence before my eyes."

"Sirius is hiding here with Dumbledore's permission," Lupin said patiently. "Dumbledore knows that Sirius is innocent. Calm down, Severus!"

"Are you treating me like a child?" Snape said. He had been waiting for this day for twelve years. He would not believe Lupin's lies. Dumbledore knew about it, but how could that little girl Drizzt know it without Lupin telling her?
Sirius was no longer as relaxed as he was at the beginning. He growled anxiously, "Don't say this to Snotlout anymore. He has been hopelessly stupid since he was a child!"

Adding fuel to the fire, Snape became even angrier and said, "Perhaps I could teach you a lesson in manners before I send you two to Azkaban, Black."

Bang! A snake-like string shot out from the tip of Snape's wand, entangled Lupin's mouth, wrists and ankles. Lupin instantly lost his balance and fell to the ground, unable to move.

Sirius, who had no wand, roared and rushed towards Snape. Snape waved his wand calmly, and Sirius was directly knocked away, hitting the cabinet hard, and fell to the ground for a long time without getting up.

Snape walked up to Sirius and said in a voice that only the two of them could hear: "Give me a reason, give me a reason to kill you. Please, I swear I will never show mercy."

Sirius, lying on the ground, was in so much pain that he couldn't speak. He looked at Snape with his eyes squinted and laughed, as if he was mocking Snape.

Harry stood there, paralyzed, not knowing what to do or who to trust. He looked at Ron and Hermione. Ron looked just as confused as he was, still trying to hold on to the struggling mouse.

But Hermione took a timid step towards Snape and said in a very weak voice: "Professor Snape... there's no harm in... listening to what they have to say, isn't it?"

"Miss Granger, please shut up right now," Snape said. "I don't want to hear another word from you."

"But what if there is a misunderstanding here!" "Shut up, you stupid girl! There can't be any misunderstanding!" Snape roared, suddenly like crazy, "Don't talk about things you don't understand!"

Sirius endured the pain and said with difficulty: "I know what you want to do, Severus, but you have to listen to me. That child, the mouse in that child's hand is Peter."

"First Dumbledore, then poor Peter Pettigrew, what tricks do you have left?" Snape said contemptuously, "Go talk to the Dementors and see if they forgive you!"

Harry instinctively crossed the room and blocked the doorway. Harry didn't know why he did this, but his body told him that this was the right thing to do.

"Get out of the way, Potter!" Snape roared. "Don't do anything stupid!"

Snape's eyes flashed with madness. From the moment he saw Sirius, he had lost his mind and fell into a state of obsession. He did not listen to Lupin's humble persuasion and explanation; he still did not listen to the names of Dumbledore and Peter.

"Don't block the door, Harry."

Harry, who was standing at the door, suddenly heard a familiar voice. He turned his head and saw that Ada was standing behind him without knowing when.

Ada's sudden appearance in the room caught Snape's attention. Snape said gloomily, "Why, you want to stop me too? It turns out that you are also a useless piece of mud."

Ada could hardly recognize the mad Snape in front of her, because at this moment Snape's heart was filled with hatred, hatred that had been pent up for many years.

"Professor Dumbledore is back and will be here soon." Ada advised softly, "Professor, don't let yourself lose control of yourself."

Snape still didn't listen to these words, he was completely immersed in his own world. In Snape's world, anyone who persuaded him was his enemy, and Ada was no exception.

Ada is just Ada, just Esmeralda Drizzt, she is not Lily Evans.

"Half of Rosier makes you so arrogant, Drizzt?" Snape said coldly, like a gust of cold wind blowing through the room, "Who do you think you are? Get out of my way!"

Lupin, who was lying on the side, tried to break free from the ropes. Sirius took advantage of the fact that Ada attracted Snape's attention and secretly moved towards Lupin.

Harry and the other two clenched their wands behind their backs. They knew that if they wanted to find out the truth from Sirius and Lupin, they had to stop Snape.

Ada didn't know whether there was such a thing as being possessed in the magic world, but she felt that Snape was possessed at the moment. Ada also didn't know why Snape hated Sirius so much. If possible, she really didn't want to fight with Snape.

Ida said softly, "Professor, stay calm. After Sirius tells the truth and gives Harry an explanation, no one will stop you from doing anything you want."

As Ada spoke, the ring on her left ring finger flashed a faint light, and Snape's eyes instantly lost focus, as if he was bewitched by Ada's words.

"Professor, whatever you want to do, please wait a moment."

Snape lowered the wand in his hand, and he wanted to nod and agree with Ada.

Everyone in the room also saw the huge change in Snape. They were all amazed at Ada. They had not yet realized how terrifying Ada's ability was.

Just when everyone thought that Snape's problem was solved, Snape unexpectedly raised his wand again and pointed it at Ada. His eyes became deep again, as if they were a bottomless abyss.

"I told you that your curiosity will kill you." Snape's face was terribly gloomy, "But I didn't expect that you would die from your own arrogance and ignorance!"
