Chapter 326: Crying Miss Beaver

Chapter 326: Crying Miss Beaver

When Animagus transform into animals, they still retain similar thinking ability, self-identity and memory as when they were in human form.

Even though they live in animal form for long periods of time, they still have a normal human lifespan.

Animagus has potential advantages in espionage and crime. Professor McGonagall once turned into a cat and observed Ada's life in the orphanage up close.

Based on this, the Ministry of Magic established the Animagus Registry, and there are only seven people registered, including Professor McGonagall. Once an unregistered Animagus is discovered, he will most likely be sent to Azkaban.

This transfiguration is long and complicated, and any mistake in any link will often lead to disastrous consequences. To become an Animagus, one must have talents in both transfiguration and potions, and must strictly follow the complicated and tedious steps.

The first step is to put a mandrake leaf in your mouth for a whole month. Once the leaf leaves your mouth, all the previous efforts will be wasted and the whole process will have to start over.

When the second full moon comes, place the leaf soaked with your saliva in a small transparent bottle and let it receive pure moonlight. Then add your hair, a teaspoon of pure dew and a hawk moth pupa to the bottle.

Leave this mixture in a quiet, dark place, protected from prying eyes and disturbances, until the next storm.

While waiting for the storm to come, do the following at sunrise and sunset: point the tip of the wand over your heart and chant the spell: "Amado, Animaud, Animagus."

When Ada understood the entire process of Animagus transformation, she felt her scalp tingling at the complexity of this magic. Talent, hard work and opportunity are all essential.

Ada couldn't even do the first step. What if she accidentally swallowed the mandrake leaves while eating or drinking?
Young man, please start over again?

Ada felt that the first step would be enough to break her mentality. I really can't do it!
The process of waiting for the storm may take weeks, months or even years. The vial must not be exposed to sunlight or any external interference, and the spell must be chanted to oneself twice a day, rain or shine.

This is why Ada has never been interested in Animagus, and why she has never made any assumptions in this regard, because this kind of magic is too difficult.

Compared to this, Ada would rather believe that James and Sirius were the best fighters. After all, Sirius was praised as the second in command of the Death Eaters, so beating up a werewolf shouldn't be a problem.

If James and Sirius really became unregistered Animagus, we can only say that they are worthy of being the biological father and godfather of the Savior.

It is really cruel to talk about the European emperor with a non-European like Ada.

That's all we can learn from the books. The remaining guesses need to be verified by people who know them, such as Dumbledore and Professor McGonagall.

In fact, Professor Lupin is the best candidate. He should be the person who knows James and Sirius best now.

But Ada was a little hesitant, not only because of Dumbledore's instructions, but also because she herself did not want to tear open the professor's scar.

Every time he sees Harry, will Professor Lupin think of James Potter and the happy times the four of them once had; every time he hears the name of Sirius Black, how heartbroken Professor Lupin will be.

Ada felt that revealing Professor Lupin's scars in front of him was even crueler than having someone talk to her about luck.

She didn't want to do such a thing unless she had to. It wasn't because she was a saint, but because of the most basic kindness of being a human being.

As the night deepened, the people in the library gradually dispersed, even Hermione Granger left. After putting the books back to their original places, Ada also left the library under the watchful eyes of Madam Pince.

In the deserted corridor, only Ada's footsteps echoed. The swaying torches lengthened Ada's shadow, giving the feeling of being in a horror movie.

Ada is like those heroines who are courting death, wandering alone in a thousand-year-old castle. Perhaps an unknown horror is waiting for her at some corner.

However, Ada did not wait for any horror, but waited for a slight sobbing sound. The sound was very small and intermittent. If the corridor was not very quiet at this time, Ada would not have noticed the sobbing sound.

Following the sobbing sound, Ada saw a huddled figure behind the statue with an unnaturally large schoolbag at her feet.

Ida thought it was a student who was crying because of too much pressure, but she didn't expect that the person crying so aggrievedly was Hermione Granger.

Hermione Granger stopped sobbing immediately when she heard the footsteps. She raised her head and just met Ada's inquiring eyes.

Miss Beaver hurriedly wiped the tears from her face and pretended to be strong to greet Ada. She said, "Hi, Ada, the weather is so nice, are you out for a walk too?"

Because she had just cried, Hermione's voice was inevitably trembling when she spoke, and she wiped her tears like a little cat. After all, she was just a thirteen or fourteen-year-old girl, she would be vulnerable at times, and she would cry because of sadness.

"I don't know when you started to like taking walks in the moonlight. Was it after you met Ron and Harry?" Ada asked with a smile.

Hearing the names of Harry and Ron, Hermione's grievances surged up again, and the tears that had just been forced to stop were about to burst out again. Hiding in the corner and crying secretly was already a very embarrassing thing, and it was even more embarrassing to be discovered by someone, and the person who discovered it was Ada.

Hermione turned her head away in self-deception. She didn't want Ada to see her crying, and she didn't want to show her weakness to the person she regarded as her target.

I felt pity for her, let alone an old slave. Hermione lost her former pride and cried bitterly, which made Ada feel distressed.

What's wrong with Ron and Harry? Are they just eating their meals? Why did they leave Hermione here alone? Aren't they afraid that someone with bad intentions might take advantage of the situation?
You two weren't like this in first grade!

Ada squatted beside Hermione, took out a handkerchief and handed it to her, saying softly: "If there is something unhappy, you might as well say it out loud. It is always better than keeping it in your heart."

The little girl took the handkerchief, thanked him quietly, wiped her tears again, and then slowly expressed her grievances.

This semester, Hermione chose all the courses. At the beginning of the semester, she was able to cope with the continuous schedule of courses. However, as time went by, the study pressure continued to increase, and Hermione gradually found it difficult to cope.

The excessive pressure made Hermione become sensitive and irritable. As luck would have it, she ran into the incident with Crookshanks and Scabbers again. Ron's misunderstanding and sarcasm made Hermione feel wronged.

The emergence of the Marauder's Map and Firebolt further exacerbated this situation.

Hermione felt that she had done nothing wrong, and that she cared more about her friend's safety than flying broomsticks and Quidditch. But neither Harry nor Ron understood her, and they were very angry because of her "telling".

Hermione was filled with grievances and pressure but had no one to talk to. She had no other choice but to hide away and cry silently, licking her wounds secretly.

"Why not give up one or two less important courses?" Ada suggested, "Such as Muggle Studies. We all come from Muggle society. Compared with the textbooks written by wizards, we are the ones who understand the current situation of Muggle society better, right?"

Ada continued, "There is no need to worry about your origin. It is not something we can decide. There is no need to consider how wizards view Muggles and cater to their views. This is a social phenomenon and it is not something we can change now."

Hermione asked, "So you chose Ancient Runes and Care of Magical Creatures."

"Actually, I only want to choose one course on ancient runes. Professor Babel's jokes are really great!" Ida spread her hands, "But there's no other way. Every student has to choose at least two electives."

Hermione lowered her furry head and said weakly, "I want to learn so much. Maybe I'm still not confident enough..."
