The Hogwarts Emerald

Chapter 168 Conspiracy loudly

Chapter 168 Conspiracy loudly
After returning to the castle, Ron did tell Ada about their suspicions about Snape, but not in person. Instead, he conveyed the message through his brother.

The next day, the twins relayed the news to Ada. During the relaying process, all three of them tried hard to hold back their laughter because they knew the truth.

Fred and George were trying to hold back their laughter yesterday. Seeing how confident the young trio were, they just couldn't bear to tell them the truth. They also wanted to see what expressions the trio would have after they personally uncovered the truth.

After knowing Ron's concern for her, Ada decided to go and say thank you to the three of them. Although this concern was of no use at all, it was still well-intentioned.

As for Snape's warning, Ada didn't take it too seriously. She had already appeared in Dumbledore's eyes. If Dumbledore really arranged her into his plan, Ada would not be able to escape from this arrangement with her current ability. It would be better to let nature take its course and wait and see.

However, Ada would not follow Dumbledore's plan completely. She was not a chess piece on the chessboard that could be manipulated at will. If a person does not work for himself, he will be punished by heaven and earth. Ada did not have the spirit of sacrifice and dedication.

In order to express her gratitude and find out how they put the blame on Snape, Ada first went to Hermione's dormitory, but she was not there.

So Ada asked the twins to help her find Ron and Harry, but they were not there either.

Ada's thanks were in vain. She walked around the common room for several times but didn't see the three people. Ada had no choice but to go to the library to do her own things. She would thank them when she met the lamp.

When they arrived at the library, Ada first returned the books she had borrowed to Madam Pince.

The thin Madam Pince looked like a malnourished vulture as she carefully examined the books that had just been returned. She would not allow anyone to defile her most treasured books.

Ada always thought that Mrs. Pince and Filch were a perfect match. Neither of them liked students and couldn't stand any rule-breaking behavior. They must have a lot in common.

Ada walked through row after row of bookshelves, looking for the book she wanted to read. In the end, she didn't find the book she wanted, but she unexpectedly saw the person she was looking for and got the news she wanted.

Ada, who was flipping through books among the bookshelves, heard Ron's voice. He was talking to Harry and Hermione about a man named Nicolas Flamel.

"Who do you think this Nicolas Flamel is? We've been searching here for the whole morning and haven't found him. We haven't even seen a similar name!" Ron complained, and heard another "bang", which should be the sound of him throwing the book on the table.

"We've only read a few books, so it's normal that we can't find it. There are so many books here, just look through a few more and we'll eventually find it, Ronald." This was a girl's voice, probably Hermione's.

After Halloween, Hermione, Harry and Ron became good friends because of their shared experience with the troll.

"I have definitely seen this name, but I forgot where!" Harry also said. He now wished he could open his head and try to find any information about Nicolas Flamel.

Harry and his friends were searching for Nicolas Flamel among a pile of books, and they had no idea that their conversation had been overheard by others, and they didn't know that they didn't have to look so hard.

Ada, who was standing behind another row of bookshelves, happened to know who Nicolas Flamel was. If Harry and the other two had told her about Snape in person, they would have known the origins of the person they were looking for by now.

In the two years since she started school, Ada can be said to be the person who goes in and out of the library the most frequently, and is also the person Madam Pince dislikes the most.

In addition to books that can improve her magical abilities, Ada also read many biographies of wizards or some ancient legends. She has read the biography of Nicolas Flamel.

Nicolas Flamel, also known as Nicolas Flamel, was a great wizard born in France in the 14th century. He was also a great alchemist.

In addition to the wizarding world, Nicolas Flamel is also very famous in the Muggle world. He is regarded by Muggles as the founder of European alchemy.

To this day, there are still streets named after him in Paris, and the life and death of him and his wife still puzzles Muggles, becoming an unsolved mystery in the Muggle world.

But Ada had never been to Paris, and she didn't know if there really was a street called Nicolas Flamel. "What if we can't find it?" Ron said, "With so many books, how long will it take us to find it?"

"We will find him!" Harry said firmly, "Even if we can't find out who he is, we can't let Snape succeed!"

Very good, Snape took the blame very firmly. When it comes to taking blame, Ada would like to say that Snape is the best.

But Ada didn’t understand. The three people were obviously talking about something very private, so why couldn’t they control their volume?
Since you know to choose a corner where no one knows you, don’t you know to speak more quietly?
Who taught them to plot loudly? Gryffindor? Aren't they afraid that Godric Gryffindor might get angry and knock on their door in the middle of the night?

Ada couldn't hold back the question marks in her mind any longer. She walked over to the trio and knocked on the bookshelf to indicate that there were other people here besides them.

Ron looked up from a pile of books and exclaimed, "Ada, why are you here? Did Fred and George tell you..."

"They have already told me. Thank you for your concern." Ada knew that her efforts were in vain. The three of them probably didn't understand what she meant by knocking on the bookshelf.

"That's good, that's good, we are just a little worried about you." Harry said, "You must be careful of Snape, he is not a good person."

It turns out to be completely useless. You speak ill of the professor so loudly, are you really not afraid of being heard?

Ada thought it would be better to be frank. She said, "When you are discussing private matters, can you please keep your voice down a bit? It is said that walls have ears. There are no walls here, only bookshelves that are not soundproof."

The three young people looked at each other, and it was obvious that they had not noticed that they were talking so loudly before, nor did they think that they might be overheard.

"Did you hear everything?" Hermione asked. After seeing Ada nod, she continued, "Then... Ada, do you know who he is?"

Hermione lowered her voice, and finally it sounded a bit like a conspiracy. Since she had been heard, she might as well ask Ada if she knew about it. Not saying her name directly was also a little thought of Hermione, to test whether Ada had really heard everything.

"Nicolas Flamel, the great alchemist, is the only known creator of the Philosopher's Stone, which can turn any metal into pure gold and create an elixir of life that makes anyone who drinks it immortal."

Ada picked out the key points. This answer was short but practical, and Hermione's little thoughts could not be hidden from her.

"By the way, he was born in France in the 14th century." Ada glanced at the books on the desks of the three people and continued, "So it's useless for you to waste time on "Research on the Development of Modern Witchcraft" and "History of Modern Magic."

Harry murmured, "Nicolas Flamel, the Philosopher's Stone... Nicolas Flamel, the Philosopher's Stone..."

Then he shouted again: "Snape must be trying to steal the Philosopher's Stone! We need to stop him!"

Ada rolled her eyes helplessly. If she hadn't cast an anti-eavesdropping spell when she walked over, everyone in the library would know that Snape was going to steal the Philosopher's Stone.

No matter what, Snape was still very good to her. Ada decided to defend him. She said: "Professor Snape would not steal the Philosopher's Stone. There is someone else who wants to steal the Philosopher's Stone..."

"But during the Quidditch match, Snape wanted to kill Harry!" Hermione interrupted Ada, "I saw it with my own eyes!"
