The Hogwarts Emerald

Chapter 165 Snape vs. the Three-Headed Dog

Chapter 165: Snape vs. the Three-Headed Dog
Quirinus Quirrell, the Defense Against the Dark Arts professor at Hogwarts, should have been a role model for students to learn from, but he was frightened by the troll and even fainted in front of everyone. Would you believe it if I told you?
But the facts were right in front of him. The extremely fragile Qi Luo lay in front of everyone, once again confirming his reputation as a waste. Maybe Qi Luo really was a waste, maybe this was the effect he wanted.

When they heard that a giant monster had entered the school, the auditorium suddenly became chaotic. The frightened students wanted to leave the auditorium one after another, thinking that it would be best if they could go home directly.

Ada sincerely hoped that these students would step on Quirrell one by one, and it would be best if they could send him directly to see Merlin. Unfortunately, not only did the students not hear Ada's wishes, but even Merlin did not hear Ada's wishes, and Quirrell was not stepped on at all.

Dumbledore had to fire several purple fireworks with his wand before the chaotic hall quieted down.

"Prefect," said Dumbledore in a low voice, "take the students from all houses back to their dormitories immediately."

After hearing the headmaster's order, the head boy and head girl, and the prefects began to lead the students from their respective houses out of the hall. Percy from Gryffindor was also very familiar with the situation, and it seemed as if he had practiced it in private.

When Ada was in her first year, it was Charlie who took the Gryffindors back to the dormitory. This year it was Percy, but the sturdy Charlie seemed more secure than Percy.

Following the crowd towards the tower, Ada asked, "Why did the troll come to the school? Those magic circles outside are not just for show."

"Perhaps Quirrell put it in there," said Fred. "Personally I'd rather Peeves put it in there, but he didn't have the guts to do it."

"It's obvious that they are taking advantage of the situation. The students have returned to the dormitory, and the professors have gone to deal with the troll. This is a great opportunity for anyone who is interested in what the three-headed dog is guarding," George analyzed.

Ada agreed with the twins' analysis. She said, "Well, that's what I think. If no one lets it in, with its stupid brain, it won't even know which way the door of Hogwarts opens."

The crowd reached an intersection where Gryffindor and Hufflepuff were about to split into two directions. Ada saw Harry Potter and Ron in the crowd, who were struggling to squeeze through a group of people and walking out of the crowd.

Ada turned a blind eye to their Gryffindor behavior and did not report it because she also had to do what was in line with Gryffindor.

Ada gave the twins a look and quietly left the group. Fred and George, who understood her, also lowered their heads, left the crowd, and followed Ada to the fourth floor.

The three of them were not interested in the smelly trolls, they were more concerned about who would go to the fourth floor. Ada and the twins walked very quickly, they were now worried that they would be too late, it would be embarrassing if they didn't even see anyone.

No one thought about whether they would encounter danger. Ada believed in her own strength, and the twins believed in Ada's strength. Moreover, the twins had known Ada for such a long time, and Ada had "abused" them a lot. Although she was not very strong, she still had the ability to protect herself.

As soon as they approached the corridor on the right side of the fourth floor, Ada and the twins heard the deafening roar of the three-headed dog. Its roar was full of anger, and it was obvious that someone had broken into its territory.

Ada waved her wand and opened the door directly. They saw the three-headed dog Fluffy attacking a man in black with his huge claws. The man in black had an injury on his leg and his movements were not convenient.

"Professor Snape!" Ada and the other two outside the door said in unison, their mouths opened so wide in surprise that a dragon egg could almost fit in.

The person who appeared before them made Ada, Fred and George a little dumbfounded. They didn't see Quirrell here, but saw the embarrassed Snape. They came to catch Quirrell first, not to watch the greasy old bat fight the smelly three-headed dog!
I came here to gank, but I only saw my teammates. It was very uncomfortable.

Dumbledore trusted Snape very much and asked him to take care of himself. Dumbledore told Ada himself that Snape's presence here was not malicious. Ada believed that he was here to keep an eye on Quirrell, just like herself.

And if Snape wanted to get through the three-headed dog, he could just kill Fluffy directly. Even Ada could do it, so there was no reason why he couldn't do it. But Snape just defended blindly, and it seemed that he had no intention of hurting the three-headed dog at all.

Snape, who was fighting the three-headed dog, also saw the three people standing in the doorway. His face became even uglier. He didn't know whether he was angry that Ada was running around again or embarrassed that the students saw him in such a mess. "Save people first!" Ada was the first to come to her senses. She conjured up a guitar and started playing. She had learned it before, but she had forgotten it all. Her guitar playing was not as good as playing cotton.

What sounds like noise to humans is like heavenly music to Fluffy. It, which was furious just now, actually dozed off. All six eyes closed, and it no longer looked at Snape and the twins who had just entered the room.

The twins carried Snape, who had an injured leg, out from the left and right sides, but the two brothers' faces seemed to be full of disgust. They should be thankful that Snape didn't see it.

Ada didn't put away her wand. It's always a good idea to keep one hand. She asked, "Why is the professor here?"

"Why are you here? That's why I am here." Snape put away his wand and began to check the injury on his leg.

The wound looked painful. Fred and George frowned as they watched. Snape was in such a miserable state. He was bitten by a three-headed dog and was seen by students. If any of the three students didn't keep their mouth shut, Snape would have died socially.

"Professor, you were bitten by a three-headed dog. No way! How could someone really be bitten by such a pet?" Ada was Snape's eldest disciple after all, so she was also capable of being sarcastic.

Snape once again experienced what it meant to reap what one sows and what was retribution. This damn girl didn't even bother to help check on the injury, but actually dared to do this?
"Shut up!" Snape said viciously, "Do you want to face three cauldrons again?"

"Quirrell isn't here, what's he up to today?" Fred interrupted. "A surprise for Halloween?"

Snape had adjusted himself. He returned to his vicious professor mode and said, "This is not your concern. If you don't want to lose points, go back to the dormitory."

"Tell me what the three-headed dog is guarding and I will go back right away." Ada was no longer so scared of Snape, so she dared to bargain.

"No comment. Why don't you go ask the headmaster?" Snape's face was shattered today and he couldn't put on airs anymore.

If Dumbledore was willing to tell Ada, would she still need to ask Snape? Would she still need to trick the simple-minded Hagrid? Ada knew that she couldn't get anything out of him. When facing her, each of these people was more tight-lipped than the other.

"Professor, do you need us to help you treat your wound?" Ada said, "Don't worry, the three of us are not up to anything bad."

Fred and George couldn't listen to this. Ada almost had "I want revenge" written on her face. Forget Snape, even if it was Hagrid, he wouldn't dare to ask Ada for help.

"No, you guys go back to the dormitory immediately, or Gryffindor will deduct three points..."

Ada interrupted Snape before he finished speaking. She said, "I saw that Harry Potter didn't return to the dormitory. He should have gone to find the troll!"

"What does it have to do with me? If I catch you, Harry Potter will be expelled." Snape continued, "Now, the three of you go back to the dormitory immediately, right now!"

After saying that, Snape ignored the three people who were standing still and left quickly. The two steps he took did not seem like those of a man with a leg injury. He probably would not have been able to walk that fast when he was not injured.

"Why did you mention Harry out of nowhere? You haven't mentioned his name for more than a month." Fred looked at Ada in confusion.
