Chapter 754 Memory and Future

It took more than ten minutes for everyone to read through Snape's memories. From his childhood acquaintance with Harry Potter's mother to his encounter with Harry's father on the train. The two quarreled over Snape's friends who liked the dark arts, and Harry Potter's father bullied Snape to the point that Snape cursed Harry Potter's mother with a word that made him regret for the rest of his life.

After that, the whole situation took a sharp turn for the worse: Lily married James, and then joined the Order of the Phoenix to fight Voldemort, while Snape joined Voldemort and became a Death Eater. In an accident, the secret he overheard became the culprit for killing Harry's mother.

After that, it was the story of Snape's sinking into darkness and redemption, until the end of last semester when he followed Dumbledore's orders and lurked around Voldemort again. In his last meeting with Dumbledore before leaving Hogwarts, he said he would take the opportunity to kill the snake that was Voldemort's Horcrux, and asked Dumbledore to take the Gryffindor dagger that Ryan had lent to Dumbledore before.

At the end of the memory, that is, after he entered the Quidditch field, Snape found that he had the best chance to assassinate Nagini, so he killed her with the Gryffindor dagger hidden on his body at the cost of his own life when his wand was taken away by Voldemort.

The last scene in the memory was that Snape used up his last bit of strength to read out Lily's name in the face of the furious Voldemort, and then everything sank into darkness.

As expected, just as Professor Dumbledore said, Snape took the initiative to embrace death. He felt that he had done what he should do at this time, and there was no need to persist in the world with guilt.

At this time, everyone had risen from the Pensieve, and everyone's face looked a little heavy. As the only woman among these people, Hermione stood up straight, clasped her hands in front of her chest, and muttered something.

Ryan leaned closer to her and heard her recite in Latin: "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. From now on, the crown of righteousness lies forever for me—"

"So... so Professor Snape did cause the death of my parents, but he also saved me with his life." Harry showed a very conflicted expression, and then looked at Professor Dumbledore with hope.

"Harry." Blue eyes stared at green eyes through half-moon lenses, "Snape did make many irreparable mistakes when he was young for various reasons. But you also saw that after he discovered his mistakes, he spent the rest of his life making up for the mistakes he made before. So, I hope you don't focus all your hatred on him."

"I don't hate him that much, at least he hasn't really hurt me personally. And I also understand that it was Voldemort who caused all this, and the blood discrimination theory that has long permeated the wizarding world." Harry said slowly but firmly. "I think he has made so many contributions over the years, and even sacrificed his life for me. I must let everyone know that there is such a person who fights against Voldemort in the dark."

"As for the indirect murder of my parents," Harry paused and pursed his lips. "I think Professor Snape should have met my parents now, and let them settle the grudges between them."

After Harry finished speaking, the office became quiet. Dumbledore patted Harry's shoulder approvingly and said nothing, but Ryan could see that Dumbledore's eyes were full of relief. He must be very happy that Harry did not fall into some kind of revengeful mood.

Harry, I will help you too." Ryan also smiled and said, "You can go downstairs to find Mr. Lovegood later. I just saw him celebrating with Luna downstairs. He should be happy to help you write an article about Professor Snape and send it to tomorrow morning's newspaper."

"And there's a radio broadcast," Hermione added. "Lee Jordan is downstairs too. I just saw him with the Weasley twins. He should also be happy to publicize the people who have given their time, energy, resources and even their lives in this war."

"Thank you, thank you everyone!" Harry happily hugged everyone in the room. After hugging Dumbledore at last, Dumbledore said to Harry: "Well, I think you should go to the square and celebrate with those young people now."

"What about you?" Harry tilted his head slightly and looked at Ryan and Hermione from Dumbledore's side. "Aren't you going downstairs to celebrate together now, especially you, Ryan. Everyone wants to meet the hero who defeated Voldemort now."

"We still have some things to discuss with Headmaster Dumbledore, mainly about the arrangements for many things after the war ends. So we may have to wait a while before going down." Ryan said to Harry, "You go down and celebrate first." After watching Harry leave, Dumbledore turned to the table and conjured up two chairs in front of him, motioning Ryan and the others to sit down. Then he rested his elbows on the table and said with a smile: "I do have a lot of things I want to communicate with you, the most important of which is that we all know that after Voldemort's death, the war will soon end completely, so what are your plans for the next few days?"

"Of course we should join the reconstruction work first. Too many things have been destroyed and too many people have been hurt in this war. I think since we have the ability to do so, we should mobilize all the resources at our disposal to allow the British wizarding world to recover in the shortest possible time." Ryan said.
"For example, after we go downstairs later, we will go to see Xiong Duosu and the Weasley brothers to discuss the transformation of the company after the war and the provision of loans to those in need. I can't believe that Gringotts used to only provide safe rental and pawn services, plus a little currency exchange with the Muggle world. Other than that, there was not even the simplest deposit and loan service."

Ryan shook his head at this point. He had never paid attention to these things before. It was not until he became a shareholder of the United Wizarding Bank of Britain that he discovered that Gringotts was a bank in the Renaissance era, and it was a complete mess in terms of finance. This was why the business of the United Wizarding Bank of Britain became so good after it opened, because they filled a gap in the British wizarding world.

"Your approach is very good." Dumbledore nodded approvingly. "Especially the low-interest loan you proposed. Several people I know believe that the low-interest loans from the bank have helped them get out of trouble and get back on track."

"It would be great if we could help others." Ryan and the other two nodded happily at the same time. It sounded great to help others while achieving their own goals. It made them feel that their life value had been realized.

"But the post-war reconstruction will be over soon. What do you plan to do after everything returns to normal?" Dumbledore adjusted his glasses and continued to ask. "Join the Ministry of Magic, open a shop, become a professor at a school, conduct magical research, or do something else?"

"We plan to open a school, a school for the whole of Europe." After exchanging a glance with Hermione, Ryan began to describe the blueprint in his mind to Dumbledore very seriously. "This is an idea that came to us after our last trip to the Celestial Empire. We hope to build a school similar to the Celestial Empire Alchemist Academy, providing a place for wizards who are interested in further studies after graduating from the school."

"That's right." Hermione nodded. "According to our investigation, except for some members of pure-blood families, there is basically no way for others to further their studies after graduation. And from Malfoy and Mrs. Greengrass, we learned that some half-blood or poor pure-blood Death Eaters chose this path because they could learn knowledge from Voldemort."

"I see. I must say that you are pursuing a grand goal. I wish you all the best." After hearing Ryan's words, Dumbledore stroked his beard with satisfaction. "By the way, are your teachers and location ready?"

"Of course I'm ready." Ryan smiled. He had already made a lot of preparations for this matter, not just now. "Professor Lupin has agreed to my invitation, and Ollivander has also agreed to come and teach you some of his knowledge when he is free."

"As for the location of the school." Ryan looked up at the floating fortress. "We will open the floating fortress as a school. Such a unique school should be able to attract those who want to gain knowledge. And we will also find technologies that are useful to society from the results of future research and put them into use to promote the development of the magic world."

"That would be great if that's the case." Dumbledore looked at Ryan and the others and said, "The British wizarding world as a whole has been stagnant for too long. I hope you can bring some new changes to this stagnant world as everyone hopes."

After coming out of Dumbledore's office that day, Ryan and his friends went straight to join the crowd celebrating downstairs. From here, they also received news from all directions: people who were cast the Imperius Curse across the country gradually returned to normal, most of the Death Eaters were caught, and only a few escaped when they saw the situation was not good, but they were also being hunted down.

At the same time, Minister of Magic Amelia Bones announced the establishment of a post-war reconciliation and liquidation committee, which would be directly under the charge of her and Professor Dumbledore to comprehensively resolve the various issues left over from those wars.

In short, the old history has been completely turned over, and a new and bright future is about to come.
