After having lunch with the Weasley twins, Ryan and his friends left the joke shop and headed straight for Hogwarts Castle. The defenses around the castle were much better than before, especially the patrol team was much larger than before.

Although many of these patrol teams were volunteers from temporary residents who had recently settled in Hogsmeade, and their skills might not be very high, their presence indirectly proved that the previous panic had slowly ended and everything was starting to get back on track.

Ryan and his friends had planned to return to their rooms to deal with some things first, and then chat with their friends. As they walked upstairs from the hallway, a flame exploded in front of them, and a small phoenix flew out of the flame. After throwing them a tightly rolled parchment note, another flame disappeared.

"It looks like Professor Dumbledore. I think he spotted me as soon as we entered the castle." Ryan took the note and unfolded it. "Just like our manor, as a complex with a large number of magic circles and alchemical products, its owner can always control any information in the building."

"So what's written on the note?" Hermione asked after watching Ryan unfold the note. "We just got back to school from outside. What does Dumbledore need to find us so urgently?"

"I don't know, because it just invites us to his office for a cup of tea." Ryan handed the small note to Hermione, and Hermione saw that there was only a simple invitation and the password to the principal's office today. There was nothing else.

"Sandwich marshmallow." After reciting the password at the door of the principal's office, the stone monster jumped to the side to make way for the spiral staircase of the principal's office. After spiraling up to the oak door, Ryan knocked on the door and it opened.

The headmaster's office remained the same as before, a circular office filled with all kinds of small strange noises. Professor Dumbledore's silverware was still placed on the small table next to it and on the partition behind the desk, each rotating and spewing out puffs of smoke. The headmaster's phoenix stood on a tall gilded branch behind the door as before, and when Ryan looked at it, it chirped and greeted Ryan.

Just as Ryan was looking at everything in the office with a somewhat nostalgic look, the door creaked open. Headmaster Dumbledore walked out from a door above, then stood on the platform and greeted Ryan and the others. "Ryan, Hermione, it's nice to see you again after such a long time."

"We are also very happy to see you, Mr. Principal." After watching the principal walk down the stairs and sit on the high-backed chair, Ryan nodded slightly and said, "What do you want to talk to us about today?"

"Sit down first. There's no need to be so nervous." Dumbledore waved his wand, and two armchairs appeared in front of the large desk, along with a small coffee table between the armchairs. "I just want to talk to you about something simple."

"Black tea and snacks, right? To be honest, your tastes are not like those of young people of your age. Instead, they are more like the tastes of people my age." Headmaster Dumbledore said after Ryan and the others sat down. As he finished speaking, a pot of black tea and a small plate of snacks appeared on the coffee table.

"Thank you for the refreshments. The familiar taste of the tea and snacks at school always makes me miss it. Although I have only been away from here for a month, it feels like I have been away for a long time." After drinking half a cup of tea and eating some snacks, Ryan put down the teacup and said with some emotion.

"Yes, school always leaves us with some indelible memories." Dumbledore nodded in agreement, and then said, "The reason why I hurriedly called you here after you returned to school today is that there is something I need to discuss with you."

Ryan and the others leaned forward slightly after hearing Professor Dumbledore start to speak, staring at Dumbledore and listening attentively, and then Professor Dumbledore said, "I heard that you raided a lot of manors in the past few days." "Yes, you are right." Ryan admitted, "In the past month, we have been fighting almost every day. It must be said that the power of the Death Eaters now mainly comes from the various products produced by their manors and the command of the British Death Eaters. After destroying some manors and eliminating a group of local Death Eaters, we can clearly see that the resistance of the Death Eaters is being weakened, and the number of innocent victims has also been greatly reduced."

"I know, I also learned this information from my channels before." Professor Dumbledore nodded and said, "But I must say, children, your methods are a bit too radical."

"Radical?" Ryan repeated the word, and then said in confusion. "Do you think my actions are radical? But I don't think my actions are radical. I can even say that my actions are moderate."

"Isn't this radical?" After raising his hand to adjust his half-moon glasses, Dumbledore looked at Ryan's face seriously, as if he wanted to see what Ryan was thinking. "You have to know that the number of wizards who died in the past month is almost the same as the number of wizards who died when Voldemort was most active in the last war. This is a huge loss for wizards in Britain."

"But, Professor, I can guarantee that everyone we killed deserved to die." Hermione couldn't help but stood up and argued, "The people we killed either had the blood of innocent people on their hands before, or used deadly spells in battle. It can be said that even though we took so many lives, every killing was to save people."

"I know, I know." Dumbledore waved his hand to signal Hermione to sit down, and then said, "I assure you, I never thought that what you did was for some evil purpose. As an old man over 100 years old, I can trust my own vision on this point. It's just that I think the means you adopted have crossed certain boundaries."

"Yes, we know that killing is the worst means." Ryan said in a quick tone, "But it is undeniable that sometimes it is also the most effective means. For example, now, do you think there is any better way to stop the evil deeds of those Death Eaters who enjoy slaughtering Muggles?"

"Alas..." Dumbledore sighed softly, revealing a tired expression. "I know that some people can't turn back now. Many of them were once my students. I really didn't expect the situation to turn out like this. I still remember when they entered the school, they were so innocent and lively...."

Seeing Dumbledore start to recall the past, Ryan and Hermione looked at each other and did not interrupt him. Ryan knew that Dumbledore had experienced a lot when he was young, losing his parents and sister, and his brother had no contact with him, and he became enemies with his like-minded friends and lovers. So after going through so many things and being alone, Dumbledore really put all his energy into his students.

Therefore, the current situation of a melee among Hogwarts graduates is not what the headmaster wants to see. Coupled with the various pressures after the outbreak of the war, Professor Dumbledore is actually under great pressure.

As the leader of the white wizards, he could not show his weak side in front of everyone. So now when Professor Dumbledore met someone who was at least equal to him in strength, he did not maintain the appearance of the most powerful white wizard. As a result, his emotions fluctuated a little bit, and he began to talk about some past events.

Ryan and the others did not interrupt, but listened quietly. After all, Ryan knew that if he felt any psychological pressure, he could find many people to talk to. However, Dumbledore's identity was that only he could be talked to, and he could not talk to others. In the current situation, which has been very bad, the headmaster must have accumulated a lot of pressure, and it would be a good thing for everyone to have a chance to talk.
