Chapter 520 The Party Ends (Please subscribe, please bookmark, please vote)
Ryan had no idea that he had only glared at a vampire, and the cleansing of the Romanian vampire family had been discovered, and he had even scared an author and a vampire half to death. After Harry came over, the four of them hid in a corner and began to taste tonight's food.

Ryan had eaten less at the Christmas party before for the party tonight, but now it seemed that it was totally worth it, because at this party he saw a lot of food that was usually very rare, such as delicacies cooked with some magical animals and plants as ingredients.

Just as Ryan was curiously looking at the whole roasted greasy pig with a roasted apple stuffed in its mouth, Harry was taken away by Professor Slughorn who suddenly appeared to show him off. So there were only three people left at the small table in the corner.

"I thought I could relax with Harry today." Ginny said a little unhappily after watching Harry and the fat professor squeeze into the crowd and walk away.

"Just take care of yourself and have fun. Harry will definitely come to the Burrow during the Christmas holidays, and you will have plenty of time to spend together then. So, try this mead. It seems to be brewed using special magic. It basically won't make you drunk. I think it tastes good." Hermione picked up a wine glass filled with golden liquid and handed it to Ginny.

"Thank you." Ginny took the cup and took a sip before looking at the bottle on the table. "Three Broomsticks 15 Year Old? I heard that the production of this stuff is not very large. My father told me that this kind of wine costs 7 Galleons per bottle and it is in short supply. Professor Slughorn is really generous for today's party."

Ryan looked at the pile of bottles in the corner and had to admit that what Ginny said made sense. It can be seen that Slughorn can pull so many connections and not be annoying not only because he is a professor or he is very good at dealing with people, but also because he can be generous when he needs to invest.

Although everyone came here mainly for socializing, even so, various kinds of food were brought in from outside from time to time during the party. For example, Ryan found that several house elves each carried a plate of crimson meatballs on a silver plate and walked into the office, and one of them happened to walk towards Ryan.

"Kara, what is this?" Ryan found that he knew this house elf. He would occasionally run into it cleaning in the common room when he went out for exercise in the morning, and he also found that it walked with a limp. After the beginning of this semester, Ryan told several ghosts in the school who had a good relationship with him that he had made great progress in alchemy and was able to help those in need. Headless Nick volunteered to act as an intermediary to introduce it and several house elves with rheumatism or old injuries to Ryan to cure their diseases.

Although Ryan's main purpose of treating the house elves was to study them and test the effectiveness of his alchemy, helping the house elves cure their difficult and complicated diseases was also real. The house elves were very happy that Ryan could devote themselves to labor after he cured their injuries. So Ryan naturally raised his reputation in the kitchen to worship.

"Ah, Mr. Ryan." Kara obviously recognized Ryan. She placed the plate on the table beside her and bowed deeply. "This dish is Tartar Dragon Meatballs. It is made by chopping the tenderest tenderloin of fresh Ukrainian Iron Belly into small cubes, mixing it with raw eggs, diced parsley, and diced pickles, and then adding seasoning to make meatballs."

"So - this is raw?" Ginny asked in surprise. Although Europeans would not choose overcooked meat or fish, they were not as fond of raw food as the Japanese. So when they heard that the meatballs in front of them were raw, the two ladies seemed a little discouraged.

"Yes." Kara said in the sharp tone unique to house-elves, "and this dish has a strong taste. I just saw someone over there talking to others after eating, and everyone else covered their noses. If you want to communicate with others later, this dish may not be suitable." After saying that, it bowed again, and then left the office with the other house-elves.

"Is it not suitable to talk to others after eating it?" Harry ran away from Slughorn again as soon as the house-elf left. After hearing the introduction of the house-elf, he began to stuff meatballs into his mouth. It seemed that he was really tired of being dragged around before.

"Potter? Why are you hiding here? Slughorn is looking for you over there. By the way, this dish looks delicious." Cormac McLaggen, who had been following Slughorn, walked over. He was well-dressed, with a Malfoy-style slicked back hair, and seemed to be at ease in such social occasions.

He walked to the plate and started eating the meatballs, while vaguely asking, "Do you know what we are eating? I heard from the house elves that the ingredients of this dish are very precious." "Dragon ball," Harry said calmly. After hearing what Harry said, Cormac froze in his place, chewed it subconsciously twice, then suddenly turned around and bent over to spit it out. As a result, Slughorn happened to appear on the other side of the table and wanted to talk to Harry. His face was red, his velvet hat was a little crooked, he held mead in one hand and pulled Snape with the other hand. Cormac didn't see it at all because he had his back to them, and he turned his head to vomit and vomited all over Snape's pants.

At first, Cormac didn't notice this, but when he vomited everything and slowly straightened up, looking at the familiar clothes in front of him, his whole body stood there like a board.

"Very good, you've earned yourself a month's detention, McLaggen." Snape ignored the desperate McLaggen and turned to look at Harry. "I heard Professor Slughorn tell a funny joke. He said that you learned a lot from my class and became a Potions genius. But I don't think I taught you anything."

"Then he inherited his mother's gift," said Slughorn. "I remember when Lily -"

But before he finished, there was a small commotion at the door, and then Draco Malfoy, grabbed by the ear, walked towards this side.

"Professor Slughorn," Filch whimpered, his jaw quivering, "I found this boy hiding in the upstairs corridor, which is a violation of discipline. As the headmaster said before, no one is allowed to walk around at night without permission, so I wonder if you have given him an invitation?"

"No, okay?" Malfoy looked angry and shook off Filch's arm. "I did break the school rules. Is that enough?"

"Never mind, Argus, never mind," said Slughorn, waving his hand. "It's Christmas, and it's not a sin to want to go to the party. Let it go this time, and it won't happen again. Draco, you can stay."

Malfoy immediately put on a smiling face to thank Slughorn for his generosity, and they talked about Malfoy's grandfather. But Ryan found that Malfoy looked very bad, as if he had been cramming for several days before the final exam.

"I have something to tell you, Draco," Snape said suddenly.

"Dear me, Severus," said Slughorn, and burped again, "don't be too hard on the children at Christmas--"

"I am his head of house, and it is up to me to decide whether to be strict or not." Snape said briefly, "Come with me, Draco."

"I'm going to the bathroom." Watching Snape and the others go away, Harry also found an excuse to squeeze out. However, he took a long time to go to the bathroom this time, and they didn't wait for Harry to come back until the end of the party. Fortunately, when they returned to the common room together, they learned from the Fat Lady at the door that Harry had returned safely. Otherwise, Ginny would definitely be too nervous to sleep tonight.
