Chapter 503 Spell (Please subscribe, please bookmark, please vote)
In the month after Professor Slughorn's banquet, Professor Dumbledore seemed very busy. Ryan only met the headmaster twice during meals, and each time the headmaster hurriedly finished his meal and left early.

However, one day when he returned to the dormitory to rest after class, he received a letter from Dumbledore, telling Ryan that he needed to make comprehensive preparations recently because he had found the possible whereabouts of an object that might be Voldemort's Horcrux, and he might need Ryan's help when he went to get it.

"The headmaster is really cautious." Ryan muttered quietly in his heart as he watched the letter burn to ashes in front of him. He could understand Dumbledore's idea. A person who could return to the world from the dead could not be too weak. With Dumbledore's character, he had to ensure that such a person who might cause adverse changes could not have a negative impact on his plan. On the one hand, he asked Ryan to go out and destroy the Horcrux with him, and on the other hand, he must want to assess Ryan's camp and his attitude towards Voldemort.

Ryan didn't have any plans to rule the entire wizarding world anyway. He was already overwhelmed by managing all those worlds, so he didn't want to add more burden to himself. So he quickly wrote a note saying "OK" back to the headmaster. In fact, Ryan liked the current situation where Dumbledore was in the front line the most. As for transforming the wizarding world, since he now had a long life span, it would be best to use two or three hundred years to change the world imperceptibly. There was no need to be so impatient.

However, after replying to the headmaster, Ryan has not received any news from Dumbledore. During this period, apart from attending classes, the only special thing was that he and Hermione attended two small dinner parties held by Slughorn. It must be said that Slughorn is a man who knows how to live. The food at the dinner party is very good and can make people relax a little in the current depressing atmosphere. According to Hermione's evaluation, "This dinner party is not as bad as Harry said. Sometimes it is quite fun. I really don't know why Harry doesn't come. He is the person I know who needs to relax the most."

Ryan could only shrug his shoulders. He and Hermione were just guests, and they just needed to relax at the dinner. But Harry was Slughorn's focus, and it would be better to practice Quidditch in the wind and rain if he had to rack his brains to avoid Slughorn's advances while eating.

It was not until mid-October that they were allowed to go to Hogsmeade for the first time this semester. Seeing the increasingly tight defense measures around the school, many people thought that they would not be allowed to go to Hogsmeade. Now that they knew they had to go, everyone seemed very happy. In the current depressing atmosphere, it was pleasant to be able to leave the castle and relax, even if it was only for a few hours.

On the morning of the trip to Hogsmeade, there was a strong wind outside. Ryan got up early and packed his things because he had informed Lupin two days ago to bring two werewolves here today so that he could complete their treatment at one time during this Hogsmeade Day. In the recent treatment, Ryan had learned a lot about the rules of change from the transformation of these two werewolves, so he planned to challenge himself by increasing the workload in the next period of time.

Ryan took a little longer to sort out the potions, so when he came to the table, he saw that it was already full of people. When he finally found Hermione, he found that Hermione was glaring at Harry.

"What happened?" Ryan asked Ron who was watching the fun on the side.

"It's like this. This morning when I was sleeping, I felt a strong light, and then a magic hooked my ankle and hung me upside down. Fortunately, there was another flash of light, and I fell back into bed!" Ron said to Ryan with a smile. He thought it was just a joke. "So you should persuade Hermione, she's making a fuss."

"Are you kidding?" Hermione turned her head and stared at Ron, looking like an angry lion. "Percy told me before that in the last war, the Death Eaters also liked to suspend people in the air like this, making them drowsy and powerless. You tell me that this kind of magic is a joke?"

"Okay, Hermione, calm down." Ryan gently put his hand on Hermione's shoulder. "The Death Eaters are just abusing it. You have to know that even the simplest levitation spell can hang the victim high up, and then remove the spell to smash them into pieces. This magic should be a prank magic at most."

"See, I was right—" Ron said carelessly, "Hermione, you are sometimes too sensitive."

"No, actually, Harry, you're also at fault." Ryan looked at Harry, who had just relaxed. "How could you rashly cast a spell you don't understand at all on a friend? This time it was just good luck, but what if next time the Half-Blood Prince records some very dangerous magic?"

"That shouldn't be the case, right?" Harry said, taking a careful look at Hermione who looked furious. "I've seen him write very normal things before."

"No, no, no, you have to know that this book is a textbook for sixth and seventh graders, and a wizard who can improve on the textbook must be very good at academics." Thinking of Harry's stubborn temper, Ryan decided to persuade him in a different direction. "What you said makes sense, but what does this have to do with the magic in it?" Harry asked suspiciously.

"It is quite normal for such an outstanding student to choose the Defense Against the Dark Arts Advanced Class. Senior students can apply to read the dark magic in the restricted area while studying Defense Against the Dark Arts. What if this half-blood prince borrows a dark magic book and writes down a few dark magic in his textbook for the convenience of learning?"

"This--" After listening to Ryan's words, Harry felt cold sweat on his back. He asked with a glimmer of hope: "Does anyone really have the habit of recording spells?"

"There are many people who have this habit, at least I do." Hermione nodded and took out a small notebook from her small bag, then opened it and pointed at a few pages. "In order to learn Defense Against the Dark Arts, I recorded a lot of dark magic. Look, these two pages are about the use and principle of the Gut-Eating Curse, and this half is about the use of the Bone-Crushing Curse-"

"How terrible." Ron swallowed and said, "What about you, Ryan?"

Ryan looked around to see if there was anyone else, and took out half of a book from his space bag. Harry's eyes widened when he saw the flaking gold title, because it was a book called "Common Black Magic Encyclopedia".

"How could you--" Ron hadn't finished speaking when he saw Ryan take out a piece of paper. On it was a letter of permission from Professor McGonagall allowing Ryan to keep and study the book in school.

"You know I have been providing alchemical products to the Order of the Phoenix. If I don't know the principles of black magic, how can I make something that can defend against them?" Ryan's answer made Harry and Ron suddenly realize. With these evidences, Harry promised that he would copy out all the spells in the textbooks when he returned, and let Ryan and others help check them before judging how to use them.

Although this promise was somewhat different from what Hermione had imagined Harry would hand in his textbooks, she felt that it was already a great victory. On the way, Hermione smiled and said to Ryan, "You actually managed to convince Harry. You know, I just talked for a long time and it was useless."

"It's nothing. It's just that your tough persuasion style that you have been used to since the first grade is not suitable for Harry and the others." Ryan said as he pulled his collar. Now there was strong wind, rain and snow outside the castle. If Ryan had not promised Lupin today, he would definitely choose to rest in front of the roaring fireplace in the common room.

Harry, Ron and Ginny probably wouldn't be able to get to Hogsmeade until a while later, because when they were queuing up to go out, someone told Harry that Colin Creevey was looking for him, so the three of them went straight back to the castle.

Hogsmeade village seemed much more depressed than before, but fortunately, the Honeydukes Candy Store and the Hogsmeade branch of Weasleys' Joke Shop, on the left and right of the entrance to the village, were still colorful and crowded with students.

"I have to go treat those werewolves first. Do you want to walk around the town?" Ryan asked Hermione at the entrance of the village.

"I'd better go with you." Hermione pulled Ryan towards the Hogsmeade branch of Weasley's Joke Shop.
