Ryan and six other people stood at the entrance of the Department of Mysteries of the Ministry of Magic, but the first level of 12 doors made it difficult for them here. In this case, Harry's suggestion of trying one by one was the only feasible solution.
"Harry, what does that door you're looking for look like?" Ginny asked.
"It can only be described as a, uh - a room that seems to glow." Harry said as he walked to the door directly opposite him, grasped the wand tightly in his right hand and pushed hard with his left hand.
The door was opened easily, without the expected attack. After experiencing the darkness of the first room, everyone felt that this square room with many chandeliers hanging on golden chains was very bright. The room was empty, except for a table that might be used for recording, and a huge glass tank filled with dark green liquid in the middle of the room.
This water tank is more like a transparent glass swimming pool than a water tank. Many white things are swimming in the jasmine liquid.
"Brain? And it's a human brain." Hermione, whose parents are dentists, quickly recognized what was in the water tank. "Why are these things kept here?"
"Just like scientists outside studying the brain, wizards should also hope to discover our own secrets by studying the brain. The only difference is that magic keeps these brains alive, making it easier to study. As for their appearance here, it is also easy to explain. Aren't brain research departments outside concentrated in those top scientific institutions?" Ryan explained to Hermione in a low voice, but everyone in the room heard what he said.
"Everybody get out of here." Harry said after looking at the brain that looked like a sticky cauliflower. "This one isn't it, let's try another door."
They quickly returned to the black hallway, and before the door was closed, Ryan knocked lightly on the door with his ring, leaving a silver flame symbol on the door.
The door clicked shut, and there was another loud rumble, and the wall began to spin rapidly again. But this time, a small blur of silver appeared in the middle of the blue. When everything was still, the silver-white flame mark was still jumping there, indicating that they had tried the door.
"That's a good idea," Harry said, raising his wand and pushing open the door opposite him again, with the others following behind.
This room was probably a little bigger than the previous one, and was also rectangular. In the dim light, they found that the middle of this room was sunken, forming a huge stone pit about 20 feet deep. The room was surrounded by stone steps that went down step by step around the pit, like stone benches. They stood on the top row, and the steps extended downward at a very steep angle, much like a gymnasium.
In the middle of the pit was a raised stone platform, with an archway on top, looking old and shabby, but without any walls around it. Over the arch hung a tattered black curtain or drapery, which fluttered gently in the cold air, as if someone had just touched it, even though there was no breeze.
"Is this the intersection of the main world and the world of death?" As soon as Ryan entered the house, he could feel a little bit of the cold breath with the rules of death slowly seeping out from the door. As someone who has been studying various rules recently, this breath is very obvious. "The other side of the door should be the world of death corresponding to the Emerald Dream." He suddenly remembered the information he had seen before.
Legend has it that this gate was the first building of the Ministry of Magic. To be more precise, the Ministry of Magic was built with this arch as the core and gradually expanded outward. In the beginning, this place was just a group of wizards studying the most secret knowledge of the magic world in this special environment. Later, it gradually became today's Department of Mysteries. They are only nominally affiliated with the Ministry of Magic, but in fact everything is run independently.
Ryan deeply suspected that the reason there was no one here today was because those people in the Department of Mysteries might have seen everything that was going to happen through prophecies in advance, so they avoided today's chaos in advance.
If Ryan hadn't been thinking about today's business, he would have even had the urge to sit here and study it carefully. Ryan felt that if he could study the rules in the place where the rules of the two worlds conflicted, the progress would be several times that of other places.
"Who's there?" Harry suddenly said, jumping onto the stone bench on the next step. But no one answered, and the curtain was still fluttering. Ryan immediately rushed forward and pulled him back. "Sirius can't be there. Behind that door is death. This house was once used as an execution chamber by the Ministry of Magic until an agreement was signed with the Dementors. Before the agreement was signed, the death row prisoners would be pushed in through this door. Once you pass through the curtain, you will completely disappear from our world. No one has ever come back alive from behind that door."
"But I heard some voices inside that attracted me." Harry said and looked back at the others, but everyone else indicated that they heard nothing.
"Only when someone close to you dies can you hear the sound inside. You are the only one who meets this requirement here." Ryan twisted Harry's upper body and made him face him. He stared at Harry's confused eyes and said, "I know this door is very attractive to you because you lost your loved ones. But please think about what we are here for?"
"Damn it." Harry slapped himself hard to wake himself up. He thought that Sirius was captured by Voldemort and might be tortured and in danger of his life, while he was looking at this door.
"Let's go." Led by Harry, they returned to the black circular room where Ryan had also printed a silver flame logo.
The wall spun again, then stopped. Harry randomly picked a door and walked over to push it, but it didn't move. Ryan touched the door and let dozens of bright red runes flow onto the door, but these runes were pushed back by the power on the door. Only then did he realize that the power used to lock this door was actually an extremely complex magical power.
"It can't be opened, but I don't think it's this door. Harry can go through all the doors in his dreams." After marking it, the wall rotated again and stopped.
Harry was already somewhat desperate at this time, and he repeated the previous process once again. However, after pushing the door open this time, Harry's expression suddenly became excited.
"Here it is!" Harry said excitedly, and rushed in first. The others could only hurry to follow.
"I just don't know what's waiting for us this time." Ryan sighed softly and was the last one to walk into the room.
This room was the brightest one anyone had seen since entering the Ministry of Magic. There was a constant busy ticking sound everywhere, like thousands of tiny feet walking. Looking around, all kinds of clocks, hanging in the gaps between the bookshelves or placed on the tables that were as long as the room, the clock faces were shining brightly, and the brightest one, beating with a diamond-like bright light, was a tall bell-shaped crystal cover at the end of the room.
Led by Harry, everyone quickly walked through the narrow gap between the tables, passed the bell-shaped crystal cover, and came to the only door at the back.
"I think we're here." He turned around and looked at everyone, and found that everyone nervously took out their wands. Ryan and Hermione even held a strange golden glass bottle in their left hands.
"Okay, let's go in." Harry wanted to say something, but his mind was in a mess and he didn't know what to say. In the end, he could only wave his hand to signal everyone to go forward.
