Chapter 361 Cleaning Up
"This house looks a little shabby on the outside, but the magical defense system inside is still functioning normally. So you can use magic when you clean up later. The Ministry of Magic cannot monitor the situation in the house." Lupin reminded Ryan and Hermione as they walked into the kitchen.

"That's good. I think my magic might be able to play a role in the cleaning." Ryan said happily.

"It would be great if you're willing to do it. Alchemy should be able to play a big role in cleaning up an old house like this. After all, there are too many different kinds of magic and runes in this ancient building that has existed for at least 700 years. We really need a more professional to deal with these problems." Lupin said after using magic to clear away the two spider webs blocking his way.

"Okay, we're here." After walking down a flight of stairs, they came to a basement that was not too small. From the stove next to it, they could tell that this was a kitchen before, but everything in the room was covered with a thick layer of dust. On a pile of broken crucibles in the corner, they could see spiders the size of ping-pong balls crawling on a pile of spider webs.

"How did you and Sirius cook these past two days?" Hermione turned and asked Lupin after seeing the dust on the stove.

"Well, we cleared a space on the kitchen floor and set up the cauldron directly on the empty space. So for the past two days we have been eating instant curry and bread bought from outside." Lupin pointed to a small empty space on the left side of the kitchen door. Ryan could see that there was indeed a piece of bluestone floor without grease and dust, and there were traces of black burns on it.

Thinking of the scene of two grown men huddled in a corner of the kitchen stewing curry in a cauldron, Ryan felt it was still miserable. But then again, this was also thanks to Lupin's strong hands-on ability. Otherwise, Sirius would have to go out to eat every day or eat dry food alone.

After walking around the kitchen, Ryan said to Lupin, "I think I have a very good magic that can solve all the pests in the kitchen, but no one can be in the kitchen when it is not in use. After all, that magic is like a strong insecticide, which may cause unnecessary harm to others."

"Then I'll ask Sirius to call Kreacher upstairs first. He has set up a small nest here." After Lupin finished speaking, he ran upstairs directly. Soon he came down to tell Ryan that the kitchen had been successfully cleared.

"Let's get started." Ryan said as he took out a glass bottle filled with malachite powder and an alabaster bottle filled with fluorescent amaryllis pollen from his waist bag, then took a porcelain plate from the table, wiped it clean, and poured the two powders onto the plate.

"Clear water is like a spring." With the help of magic, Ryan quickly blended the two ingredients into a brown ingredient, and then used a brush to draw a long string of runes on the wall of the kitchen.

"What is written here?" Lupin looked carefully at the runes written by Ryan, and found that he didn't recognize any of the runes, and he didn't even know the origin of these runes. This surprised him, because although he was a werewolf, he had been a top student since his school days and had more knowledge than most wizards. Under such circumstances, it was natural to find it a bit strange to suddenly discover a magic rune system that he didn't know at all.

"Asshai?" Hermione saw the origin of these runes, but she had no way to explain them to Lupin. She couldn't tell Lupin that this was a magical heritage from another world.

"This is what Ryan learned from a special place, belonging to an ancient magic civilization." Hermione could only vaguely explain to Lupin. Fortunately, there is a tradition among wizards to hide their magical knowledge, so after hearing Hermione's explanation, Lupin did not continue to ask.

"Alright." After drawing the last rune, Ryan took a step back and checked what he had just drawn. "Now it can be activated."

After saying that, Ryan retreated to the kitchen door, then made a special gesture and read in Asshai: "Death Storm." Hermione's eyes widened suddenly when she heard it.

As the spell was chanted, the runes on the wall were activated, emitting a dead silver light. The three people standing at the kitchen door could see that the light on the runes finally connected to form a silver vortex of light. At the same time, they could feel a breeze in the kitchen, causing the corners of their clothes to flutter.

Finally, when the light completely disappeared, a neat kitchen appeared in front of them. All the dishes and kitchen utensils were sparkling and spotless, and even the floor and ceiling looked like they had been brushed several times. In the middle of the restaurant, there was a pile of garbage up to the waist level. In addition to ashes and some rotten and damaged items, there was also a pile of vixens and an unusually large corpse of a Bandiman. "It's really a great idea to ask you to come." Lupin exclaimed after seeing the scene in front of him. "Even if Sirius and I clean the kitchen together, it will probably take a whole afternoon. Your level of alchemy is far beyond my imagination. As far as I know, if a wizard can master various runes in alchemy and use them freely, he is at least an excellent alchemist. If you invent some new alchemy products, you can become the youngest alchemist master in the past thousand years."

"I just used some of the knowledge left by our ancestors. It's not as powerful as you say." Ryan shrugged. "Besides, using alchemy to clean up the house is indeed very fast, but the only drawback is that it is too expensive. Just cleaning up the kitchen just now cost one Galleon and seven Sickles, not to mention my labor costs. So at home, I would rather use insecticide, rags and feather dusters to solve the problem myself."

"It's okay, I think I have enough gold coins to clean the whole house." At this time, Sirius' voice came from the stairs. Ryan saw him walking down to the kitchen, followed by a house-elf.

He was almost naked except for a dirty rag around his waist, such as men in tropical countries wear to cover their bodies.

He looked very old, with what seemed to be several times more skin than his body actually needed, and although his head was bald like all house-elves, a large amount of white hair grew out of his two large bat-like ears.

His eyes were bloodshot, watery and gray, and his fleshy nose was as big as a pig's.

He followed Sirius and kept muttering in a hoarse, low voice like a bullfrog.

"The young master is a disgusting, ungrateful bastard, not even fit to clean his mother's shoes. Oh, my poor mistress, he even brought a werewolf into the house. Poor old Kreacher, what can he do?"

At this point, Kreacher looked up at Ryan and Hermione, with a look of surprise on his wrinkled face. "Old Kreacher really wants to know who this young master and young lady are? He never knew there were such people in Britain."

"We are just Muggle-borns, not young masters or young ladies." Ryan said to Kreacher.

"Oh, old Kreacher would not admit his mistake. What has happened to this world? There are actually scum who think they are mudbloods and act so proud -"

"Shut up and get back to the closet upstairs." Sirius couldn't stand it anymore and gave the order. Seeing Kreacher cursing as he went upstairs, Sirius also showed an annoyed look. "He has gone completely crazy after listening to the crazy words of my mother's portrait for ten years."

After that, Sirius used magic to conjure a pocket and threw all the garbage in the middle of the kitchen into it, then looked at the kitchen with satisfaction and nodded. "Very well done, Ryan. Next, I'll ask you to clean up the house. Don't worry about the materials, I'll take care of it."

Sirius was indeed a spendthrift in some ways, but it was indeed very comfortable to do business with him. At least he was very quick and generous in paying.
