Chapter 28 Quidditch Match Part
Chapter 28 Quidditch Match Part
In fact, when Ryan read the novel in his previous life, he felt that wizards might have a tendency to self-abuse, because their Quidditch matches started between Halloween and Christmas every year, that is, between November and December.
Imagine having to stand on a high platform in the bitter winter wind of the Scottish Highlands, with a group of spectators blowing in the wind. The players had to work even harder, flying around in the sky without any shelter. It was a tough job from any angle.
But after Ryan really came to this world, he discovered the wizards' enthusiasm for the sport of Quidditch. This enthusiasm made all the above problems no longer a problem.
When he arrived at the Quidditch pitch with everyone else, he found that almost all the teachers and students in the school had come to the stands around the Quidditch pitch. Many students even brought binoculars. The seats were almost raised to the middle of the air, but sometimes it was still difficult to see the game clearly.
Ryan and a group of first-year students came to the top row. In order to encourage their classmate Harry, they made a magical banner with the words "Potter will win" and a dynamic picture of a lion chasing a snake next to it.
Madam Hooch was the referee. She stood in the middle of the field, her broom in hand, waiting for the two teams.
When the players from both teams came out of the locker room and walked onto the field, Mrs. Hooch said to the players: "Listen, I hope everyone will participate in the game fairly and honestly."
At this time, Seamus said to everyone: "Madam Hooch is warning the Slytherin team that their style of play is rather dirty. Especially to their captain Marcus Flint. Under his leadership, Slytherin sometimes takes the initiative to resort to some despicable means."
"It seems that no matter where you are, there are always some people who do not follow the spirit of sportsmanship." Ryan made his comment. Hermione, Seamus, and several classmates who grew up in the Muggle world nodded in agreement.
"Everyone please get on your broomsticks."
Everybody get on their brooms.
Madam Hooch blew loudly on her silver whistle.
Fifteen flying broomsticks rose from the ground and rose high into the sky. The game begins.
"The Quaffle was immediately snatched up by Angelina Johnson of Gryffindor—what a great Chaser that girl is, and very attractive too—"
"Jordan!"
"I'm sorry, Professor."
Ryan felt that the most interesting thing about the Quidditch match at Hogwarts, besides the wonderful performance of the players, was Lee Jordan's commentary. Not only could he quickly and accurately describe the situation on the field, but the various jokes and gags in his commentary also made the entire commentary more vivid.
Of course, because his commentary is biased and sometimes even overly emotional, Lee Jordan is now conducting his commentary under the close supervision of Professor McGonagall.
"She's really flying up there and she makes a beautiful pass to Alicia Spinnet, Oliver Wood's discovery and a substitute last year - the ball goes to Johnson again and - oops, Slytherin has got the Quaffle and Marcus Flint, the Slytherin captain, has got it and is running away - Flint is flying over it like a hawk - he's going to score - no, Wood, the Gryffindor keeper, makes a beautiful move and steals the ball away and now it's Gryffindor who have it - there's Katie Bell, the Gryffindor Chaser, darting swiftly around Flint over the pitch. — ouch — that must have hurt — hit on the back of the head by a Bludger — Quaffle stolen by Slytherin — that’s Derryan Pusey going for the goalpost but he’s knocked over by another Bludger — the Bludger is pushed aside by Fred or George Weasley, the twins are hard to tell — great work by the Gryffindor Beater as Johnson gets the Quaffle back and there’s no resistance and she’s running like hell — flying — avoiding a Bludger — the goalpost is just ahead — come on, all right, Angelina — Keeper Bletchley dives in — misses — Gryffindor scores!”
The cheers of the Gryffindors echoed in the cold air, mixed with the roars and curses of the Slytherins.
Harry circled back and forth in the air, apparently not spotting the Snitch yet. "Slytherin has the ball," Lee Jordan said, "and Chaser Pousser ducks under two Bludgers, under the Weasley twins and Chaser Belle, and runs towards - wait - is that the Snitch?"
Der Ampusse was so busy turning his head to look at a streak of golden light that flew past his left ear that he missed the Quaffle, and there was a murmur among the crowd.
It seemed that Harry had also seen the Snitch, and he swooped down quickly, chasing the golden light. So did Terence Hickey, the Slytherin Seeker. The two of them sprinted side by side towards the Snitch - the Chasers seemed to have forgotten what they were supposed to do, and were hovering in the air, watching.
Harry was faster than Higgins—he looked like he was about to catch the Snitch—
BANG! There were shouts of anger from the Gryffindors below—Marcus Flint had deliberately run into Harry, and his broom had veered awry, but Harry had a firm grip on it.
"Foul!" shouted the Gryffindors.
Ryan also roared in the cold wind, and he seemed to slowly begin to understand the charm of this sport.
The game continued and things were looking good for Gryffindor, who always had possession of the ball.
Suddenly, Harry began to do Brownian motion in the air, and Ryan, who had been observing Harry, noticed the situation immediately.
Ryan aimed the telescope at Harry and found that his expression had become very nervous, and it seemed that the broom was out of control.
Hermione saw Ryan holding a telescope with a serious expression, and looked at the place he was staring at. At this time, Harry also began to slowly drift away from the stadium. Some students had already noticed something was wrong.
"What's going on? Did the broom get broken by the collision just now?" Hermione said nervously.
"It shouldn't be. It's impossible for the Nimbus 2000 to be damaged by a few collisions. The most likely scenario is that someone used black magic to interfere with the broom. And given the anti-interference ability of the Nimbus 2000, the interferer should have a high level of attainment in black magic. Ordinary students can't do this." Ryan replied.
"Look, Snape." Hermione patted Ryan's arm. "Look, he's staring at Harry and chanting a spell."
Ryan held up a telescope and said, "Look behind him. Quirrell is also staring at the sky and chanting a spell."
"What?" Hermione looked carefully in the direction of Quirrell. "What should we do now?"
"Follow me." Ryan took Hermione and slowly moved towards the staff seats.
More than a minute later, they came to the back of the staff seats, and according to the plan they had discussed on the way, when Ryan raised his thumb, the two of them set Snape and Quirrell's robes on fire at the same time.
After more than ten seconds, there was chaos at the teaching desk, and the two people took the opportunity to return to their seats.
