Chapter 223 Communication with Sirius
Chapter 223 Communication with Sirius
"Wait, you said you were going to kill him here?" Ryan asked in shock.
"Of course, do you still want to let your kid do it? Hurry up, take him out. Oh, by the way, this is the common room, it's a bit inappropriate here, but I can take Peter outside to kill him." Sirius urged.
"I mean, what will you do after you kill Peter? Will you continue to run away as a fugitive? From what I know, Harry is not living very well with his relatives. As his only relative now, you not only left him with them to suffer for more than ten years, but also evaded your responsibility as his godfather to take care of him."
"No, I'm not shirking my responsibility." Sirius retorted passionately. "I was just atoning for the sin I made of misjudging someone and killing my friend."
"And then what? You feel better about yourself by going to jail to atone your sins, but you leave your friend's only child out there to suffer?" Ryan sarcastically said without mercy.
Because he found that Peter's incident had become Blake's inner demon, he could only hope to help him get rid of this inner demon through such words. After all, Blake was a good person in the original book, and Ryan would naturally be inclined to help him if he had the ability. Not to mention that as a good person, he would naturally give back after receiving help from others.
Seeing Blake fall into deep thought after hearing what he said, Ryan quickly went further and said, "You just feel that you can't face your friend's orphan, and you don't know what to do so you escape. If you really want to atone for your sins, shouldn't you take on your friend's responsibility and take care of their orphans on their behalf?"
"Well, I think you might be right." After a few minutes of deathly silence, Little Sirius said, "I am indeed a coward who dares not face reality, but in this case, I don't know what I should do next."
"That's easy. I have an idea after hearing what you said." Ryan told Blake about his plan and when he saw him nod in approval, he said, "You should leave now. After all, this is a school and you may be discovered at any time."
After untying the rope, Blake stood there and looked at the boys' dormitory with hatred. When Ryan thought he was going to break the agreement and rush up, he turned his head and walked towards the exit. When he was about to enter the hole of the exit, he suddenly asked, "What are you doing in the common room so late at night?"
Ryan blurted out: "Practice Kung Fu."
After hearing the answer, Sirius didn't say anything and went out of the cave. In fact, Sirius was wondering why Ryan was waiting in the common room at the early hours of the morning, but Ryan's accidental answer successfully dispelled his doubts.
After all, Sirius was very fond of Muggle things during his rebellious period, and the flying motorcycle was a masterpiece of that time. So he also watched the first Kung Fu movie to come to the West.
Ryan's skill in knocking Sirius down was obviously better than that of a normal 13-year-old boy, and he happened to be a Chinese. So in Sirius's mind, Ryan obviously practiced Kung Fu.
As for why they went to the common room to practice in the early morning, it was not difficult for Sirius, who was born in a pure-blood family, to understand: it was common practice for people who mastered certain special skills to practice secretly away from everyone.
Ryan's answer just now matched his imagination, so he put aside his doubts and left without saying a word.
But Ryan didn't know what Sirius was thinking. He thought it might be because Sirius had been in prison for a long time and his mental state was a little abnormal, so he asked some strange questions.
Just a few hours after he went back upstairs and fell asleep, Professor McGonagall came to the common room at five in the morning and woke everyone up. Everyone was standing in the common room in their pajamas, sleepy-eyed.
"I'm sorry to wake you up so early, but according to the description in the portrait in the castle, Sirius broke into the school again yesterday and entered the Gryffindor common room, so I hope everyone will cooperate with the search of the castle today. By the way, Neville Longbottom, come with me now."
Looking at Longbottom who followed Professor McGonagall out, Ryan silently prayed for him in his heart. After Professor McGonagall left, everyone hurried upstairs to wash up and waited in the common room in their coats. However, no news came when they went to class. It was not until lunch time that Professor McGonagall regretfully informed them that Sirius had escaped.
After returning to the dormitory, Ryan found that the paper talisman he had pasted on the cage before going downstairs had not been touched. Banban was still sleeping quietly in the cage. The calming talisman pasted on the cage was prepared to make Peter fall asleep and avoid the search to arouse Peter's vigilance.
Neville came back at dinner time, and Professor McGonagall was very angry about Sirius entering the common room because of his lost note. Although there were no serious consequences this time, McGonagall still forbade him to go to Hogsmeade again; he was put on detention and no one was allowed to give him the password to enter the tower. Recently, he could only wait at the door every day and ask someone to take him in.
In addition, Neville also received a howler letter from his grandmother. Even though Ron reminded him to run away as soon as he received the letter, everyone in the hall still heard Neville's grandmother's roar accusing Neville of bringing shame to the whole family.
"Ryan, can you accompany me to Hagrid's later?" Hermione asked as she sat down next to Ryan with a few books in her arms.
"Of course, but can you tell me why you wanted to go to Hagrid's?"
"As a friend, I took some time to help Hagrid look up some defense materials for cases involving injuries caused by magical creatures. But I also know that the chances of Hagrid winning this time are slim, so I want to find someone to go with me, otherwise I'll feel a little embarrassed."
"Okay, wait for me in the lobby at the entrance. I'll go to the dormitory to get something and then I'll go with you." Ryan was worried that he had no excuse to go to Hagrid, and now he finally found an excuse.
Ten minutes later, Hermione saw Ryan coming down from upstairs in the hall carrying a mouse cage. Her eyebrows raised sharply when she cast her eyes on the jade charms on the red rope wrapped around the cage. But she didn't say anything and went to Hagrid's hut with Ryan.
Arriving at the cabin, Ryan knocked on the door, and Hagrid quickly opened the door for them, "Welcome, are you here--"
"Well, we heard that you were going to London on Friday to defend Buckbeak, so we summarized some information and hoped it would be useful." Hermione said and showed Hagrid the information she was holding.
"Thank you very much, you can come in and have some tea." Hagrid opened the door. The first thing they saw after entering was Buckbeak lying on Hagrid's patched sheets, with his huge wings folded tightly on both sides of his body, dozing with his eyes closed.
Ryan and Hermione consciously chose to sit down away from Buckbeak. Hagrid first poured them two cups of tea and brought out a plate of cookies. Then he took the information Hermione had marked and started reading it.
Ryan picked up the teacup and drank tea silently amid the crackling of the fire. He saw Brother Hai read the seven or eight pages of information and said happily: "The information you found is really useful. I think Buckbeak may win now..."
Ryan looked at Hagrid's excitement and thought it would be better not to pour cold water on him, so he put down his teacup and said, "Because we just came back after the Christmas holiday, we don't have much information to prepare. But to be honest, in that case, the Dangerous Creatures Committee probably won't give you too much time for debate, so I think you just need to pick one or two cases and memorize them."
"Thank you so much." Hagrid said gratefully. "After all, I know you are very busy recently. I am very grateful that you can take the time to help me."
