Chapter 17: Battle in the Plants vs. Zombies World

Just as he returned to the ground, a gust of wind blew in from outside. A piece of paper flew in from the open window and stuck directly on Ryan's face. He smelled a bloody smell from it.

He took down the piece of paper and found a line of crooked words written in dark red blood on it: "We will come to visit you later, welcome to join us! - Your friend"

Ryan quickly planted a sunflower seed in the yard and then shone the sun on the seed.

Just like the fast-forward in a documentary, the seed quickly grew from a bud into a mature sunflower in a few seconds. From a distance, the zombies didn't look as silly and cute as in the game, but they looked similar to the zombies in the game: green skin, tattered clothes, bulging eyes, and only a few yellow teeth left in their open mouths. They walked unsteadily, and occasionally let out meaningless roars from the middle of their throats.

There were only one or two zombies rushing into the yard at first, so Ryan used the 50 points of sunlight he had accumulated to plant a new sunflower. Then he kept casting petrification spells on the one or two zombies that climbed up. Although the effect was not good, each spell could stop the zombies in place for five or six seconds.

With the help of two sunflowers, Ryan quickly planted the first pea shooter. After a few peas hit the zombie, its neck broke and it fell to the ground in the yard.

After defeating several zombies with magic, Ryan suddenly found a shadow of a silver coin emerging from the body of the fallen zombie. When he used his mind to put it into his pot, his pocket suddenly felt heavy. Ryan reached into his pocket and took out a sunlight crystal.

As time went by and the sun accumulated more and more, Ryan planted two rows of sunflowers at the back of the yard. Then he planted three pea shooters in each row and a row of nuts at the front.

In this formation, the zombies became living targets, falling down one after another in front of the plants. Ryan also took this opportunity to practice several magics he had mastered. Occasionally, when some zombies gathered together, he would plant a cherry bomb to clear the area.

A few hours later, just when Ryan was becoming more and more proficient in practicing a few spells, suddenly an alarm sounded from Crazy Dave's house. It seemed that the zombies' final offensive had begun.

Finally, when a few nuts were almost eaten up, Ryan finally killed all the zombies that ran into the yard.

He originally wanted to go out and chase the retreating zombies, but thinking about Dave's instructions, he didn't move.

As a result, after the large group of zombies left, a few zombies suddenly crawled out of the ground, and they seemed to be setting an ambush.

Cold sweat instantly ran down Ryan's back. Coupled with the fact that several hours of fighting had consumed too much energy, Ryan sat down on the steps in front of the door and let out a long sigh.

After sitting for a while, Ryan saw Dave coming out of his house on his tractor.
