Hogwarts Raven's Claw
Chapter 486 Trouble is coming
Chapter 486 Trouble is coming
The peace at Hogwarts lasted until the day before the Christmas holidays.
Early in the morning of that day, just as the sky was getting light, a woman in a black dress and a black veil stood in front of the gate of Hogwarts Castle.
Hogwarts is always shrouded in a cold fog in the early morning of winter. This woman looked like she had been waiting in the fog for a long time, which resulted in dense dewdrops hanging on her body, even on the slightly gray tips of her black hair.
The woman's dress was very delicate, but it looked quite old. The long skirt, which was supposed to be jet black, was no longer so black, especially the joints that were frequently moved, which had even been worn white. The gauze on her head was even worse. It had been soaked by the dewdrops and lay limply on the woman's head and face, and its color was somewhat transparent.
Of course, in addition to the fact that the woman often wore this dress, it might also be due to improper storage. After all, dresses were originally manufactured as consumables, especially the veil, which would quickly change color even if not used.
Such an old dress obviously did not have much thermal insulation effect. Although the woman tried hard to control herself, her body, which was not strong to begin with, was still shivering in the cold fog.
“Crack!~”
With a sound like grinding teeth, the gate of Hogwarts Castle was opened.
Filch came out hunched over with an oil lamp in his hand, and Mrs. Norris followed behind him, looking at the woman standing outside the door curiously.
As soon as she saw Filch, the woman's trembling slowed down a lot. She raised her head slightly and pointed her nose at Filch.
Filch didn't say much. He curled his lips, made a gesture of invitation and said:
"Let's go, Mrs. Kent."
After saying that, Filch walked into the castle without looking back. The woman called Mrs. Kent was obviously frozen, so although she was not satisfied with Filch's attitude, she still followed him into the castle.
The two of them walked slowly through the lobby. At this time, many students who were having breakfast had gathered in the auditorium. They looked at the strange pair with curiosity on their faces.
Mrs. Kent shook herself instinctively, trying to shake off the dew on her body. These crystal clear little things made her dress, which was not black enough to begin with, look even whiter.
Unfortunately, this approach had no effect other than making her already messy hair even messier. Realizing this, Mrs. Kent lowered her head sadly - she felt ashamed!
When she lowered her head, Mrs. Kent saw a cat with strange fur sniffing her shoes.
It was a pair of black deerskin women's flat shoes, which had turned a little white due to lack of maintenance and age, and were now splashed with many brown mud spots.
"Are you laughing at me too?"
An old voice filled with anger came out of Mrs. Kent's mouth, and then she kicked Mrs. Norris hard.
However, Mrs. Norris dodged nimbly, and Mrs. Kent almost fell down herself.
Just as she was about to continue chasing, Mrs. Norris had already escaped to Filch's side, and was looking up and meowing at Filch in words that no one could understand.
Filch used some dried fish to comfort Mrs. Norris, then turned around and said angrily:
"You wicked old witch!"
After saying that, Filch turned around and continued to move forward, but his speed became extremely fast.
Mrs. Kent was obviously not someone who could be easily bullied. She opened her mouth to curse, but soon realized that this was Hogwarts. Looking at the students around her, she could only shut her mouth and quickly chase after Filch.
Filch was a very strong man, with solid, bulging muscles beneath his ragged clothes.
This was what Myrtle told Mike when he went to the prefect's bathroom to take a shower a few days ago. She also asked Mike to keep it absolutely secret because it was too embarrassing to peek at Filch taking a shower, and she didn't want to be regarded as a casual girl.
Filch's strong body made him extremely fast, and Mrs. Kent had to run to barely keep up with him when he walked fast.
Finally, Filch stopped beside the monster statue in front of the headmaster's office. He first recited the password to open the passage, and then looked at Mrs. Kent, who came late and was panting.
"Humph!"
Filch snorted coldly and walked away without looking back.
Mrs. Kent spat at his back, then took out a mirror and began to fix her makeup.
It was a pity that the makeup she had carefully prepared before leaving had already become a mess beyond repair, but she was still trying her best to make up for it.
Half an hour later, the monster statue hiding nearby couldn't stand it anymore and said helplessly:
"Are you going in or not?"
The sudden sound startled Mrs. Kent, and she almost threw away the small mirror in her hand.
She hurriedly took back the mirror, smiled awkwardly at the monster statue, then raised her head and walked into the passage with her head held high.
At this moment in the headmaster's office, Dumbledore, Snape, Kingsley and Professor Flitwick were sitting in front of a makeshift coffee table in silence.
Not far from them, Mike was teasing the Phoenix Fox on the shelf.
They gathered here today to solve a problem. Clark, the seventh-year head of Ravenclaw, was found out by Mike to be an assassin and taken away. This was obviously unacceptable to Dumbledore.
He shared the same opinion as Hermione. Even if Clark was really an assassin, he should be handed over to the Ministry of Magic for judgment instead of being lynched by Mike.
This was a huge blow to his authority. If he remained indifferent to this matter, everyone in Hogwarts would be in danger, because Mike could arbitrarily accuse others of false charges and execute them.
In order to completely solve this problem, Dumbledore not only invited Kingsley, who represented the Ministry of Magic, but also invited Clark's mother.
Of course, this is just a superficial reason.
In fact, Dumbledore's real purpose was just to warn Mike and let him feel his presence as the headmaster, so as to prevent Mike from going too far.
For this purpose, he secretly arranged someone to protect Mrs. Kent. Otherwise, with Mike's current power, it would be a very easy thing for him to make Mrs. Kent disappear silently.
However, his knocking seemed to have no effect on Mike at all.
Dumbledore thought so as he looked at Mike, who looked normal and was playing with the bird.
At the same time, a trace of doubt arose in his heart. Why could Mike, who had done so many cruel and vicious things, still gain the favor of the Phoenix?
Mike himself couldn't figure this out, but he didn't dwell on it because it was obviously a good thing.
Mike touched the soft feathers on the Phoenix's head and took out a large piece of white fish from his pocket and fed it to Phoenix Fox. He liked this Phoenix very much, its ability was really too strong.
"You shouldn't feed it. It's already very fat, and its staple food should be flames. It will have indigestion if you do this. By the way, how is my great-great-grandson doing recently? Has he married a wife and given birth to children to continue the glory of the Black family?"
A serious and heavy voice came from above Mike's head. Mike knew without even looking that it must be the magical portrait of Sirius' great-great-grandfather, the most unpopular headmaster.
Mike had no interest in answering his question and continued to feed Fox.
"You nasty brat, if I were still the headmaster of Hogwarts, I would definitely put you in detention!" The expression on the headmaster Black's face in the portrait suddenly became gloating. "But the retribution for your disrespect for the elderly is coming soon, hehehehe!"
Along with the strange laughter of the Blake portrait, the door of the principal's office was opened, and Mrs. Kent walked in with her head held high.
All of a sudden, Dumbledore and others who were originally sitting on the sofa chairs stood up and looked at Mrs. Kent.
"Good morning, Mrs. Kent."
Dumbledore said with a smile, and at the same time he waved his wand, and a sofa chair appeared next to the empty coffee table.
However, Mrs. Kent had no intention of sitting down. She stepped forward and grabbed Dumbledore's robes, choking with sobs and saying:
"Principal Dumbledore, where is Clark? Where is Clark?"
There was a flash of pity in Dumbledore's eyes. He had asked Mike this question before, but the other party just smiled.
But this is not important, because based on Dumbledore's understanding of Mike, Clark is most likely dead.
But out of humanitarianism, Dumbledore did not tell this to Mrs. Kent, but simply said that Clark was missing.
After taking a long breath, Dumbledore glanced at Mrs. Kent's wet dress and still trembling body, and said gently:
"Please sit down first, we can talk slowly."
As he spoke, Dumbledore moved the wand in his hand again, and a gust of warm wind blew up from Mrs. Kent's footsteps, drying all her clothes.
Mrs. Kent looked at Dumbledore gratefully, then wiped her red eyes and sat down.
"Let me introduce you first," said Dumbledore. "This is Professor Snape, Head of Slytherin House. This is Professor Flitwick, Head of Ravenclaw House. And this is Mr. Kingsley from the Department of Magical Law Enforcement at the Ministry of Magic."
Following Dumbledore's introduction, several people present greeted Mrs. Kent one after another. Mrs. Kent also lost her previous arrogance and responded respectfully.
Finally, Dumbledore finally turned his eyes to Mike who was standing next to the Phoenix Fawkes.
"As for this person, he is a student of Ravenclaw College, Mike Townley. He is also the one who took Clark away."
Mrs. Kent looked in the direction Dumbledore pointed, and saw a tall blond boy half leaning on a shelf with a fiery red bird standing on it, looking at her with a smile.
In just a moment, Mrs. Kent's expression became ferocious. She jumped up from the sofa and rushed towards Mike, waving her skinny arms.
"Give me back my son!"
The expressions of Dumbledore, Flitwick and others changed drastically, but Mike had no intention of dodging at all. He flicked his right index finger slightly, and a blue magic light attacked the oncoming figure!
There was a hint of surprise in Mrs. Kent's dark brown eyes. She seemed to have not expected that Mike would dare to attack her in such a place!
She instinctively wanted to dodge, but she was too fast and it was too late.
At this critical moment, a white light flashed behind Mrs. Kent, and a hazy white light instantly enveloped her whole body.
"boom!"
There was a muffled sound, and Mrs. Kent sat down on the ground, looking at Mike with horror.
A hint of surprise flashed across Mike's face. Just now, Snape took action.
It was really beyond Mike's expectation that the cold and nasty guy would actually protect an old woman who had nothing to do with him.
On the other side, Dumbledore and Kingsley's faces were extremely gloomy. Mike's behavior just now was so bold that it could not be described as he was completely ignoring them!
Dumbledore instinctively prepared to ask questions, but Professor Flitwick shouted before he could:
"Mike!"
Mike nodded apologetically to Professor Flitwick, then looked at Mrs. Kent who was sitting on the ground.
"I'm sorry, Mrs. Kent. I just reacted instinctively. To be honest, you shouldn't be so impulsive."
After saying that, Mike hooked his finger again, and then the wooden floor under Mrs. Kent's butt began to take root and sprout, pushing Mrs. Kent up, and soon a chair with green leaves on it appeared.
Mrs. Kent seemed to have not recovered from what happened just now. She stammered and replied:
"Yes...I'm sorry."
Then she looked at Snape, who had just helped her block the attack, and opened her mouth slightly as if she wanted to say something of thanks, but soon she lowered her head with a complicated expression and said nothing.
In fact, no one at the scene knew except her and the other person that she and Snape were classmates in the same grade and the same college.
But the relationship between the two of them was not very good, or to put it bluntly, Mrs. Kent could even be considered a school bully and bullied Snape a lot.
But now, the sloppy Snotlout has become a world-famous potion master, while the bad-tempered and conceited young lady has fallen into disgrace.
Such a huge gap made Mrs. Kent helpless and speechless.
Snape, who had given Mrs. Kent a huge shock, still sat quietly on the sofa with an expressionless face, as if everything here had nothing to do with him and he was just a bystander.
In fact, his heart was as calm as his expression. He did not recognize Mrs. Kent at all. She was just an insignificant little character to him. There was no need to remember her. His attack just now was just an instinctive act because he had been secretly guarding against Mike.
It can be said that Mrs. Kent was completely self-indulgent.
