Hogwarts Raven's Claw

Chapter 173: Flitwick Returns

Chapter 173: Flitwick Returns

Mike frowned and looked down at the wine glass on the table.

Sure enough, a lot of the wine had been consumed.

Looking at Penelope's dazed look, Mike suddenly felt a little dissatisfied.

However, this kind of dissatisfaction must not be shown at this time. Mike knew very well that if he rashly accused the other girl of getting drunk, the result would be nothing more than a more intense quarrel.

"Sorry, I'm late." Mike raised his glass and said apologetically, "How about I drink a glass as a punishment?"

Penelope tilted her head and looked at the wine glass in Mike's hand with a playful look, then smiled and pursed her lips to indicate that Mike should drink it in one gulp if he had the guts.

Although there was not much fire whiskey in Mike's cup, Mike's body was still small, and if he drank it directly, he would definitely get drunk. Penelope felt that a smart person like Mike would never let himself get drunk.

Looking at Penelope's somewhat provocative eyes, how could Mike bear it? He gritted his teeth and raised the glass to pour it into his mouth.

Just as his lips touched the wine glass, a delicate hand suddenly grabbed Mike's hand.

"Forget it. Alcohol is not a good thing." Penelope said, "Besides, at your age, alcohol may cause permanent damage to your mental strength and nerves."

Mike also took advantage of the situation and put the wine glass back on the table with Penelope's force.

Just as Penelope was about to pull her hand back, Mike grabbed it.

"So...you forgive me?"

"Forgive you for what?"

Penelope turned her head away and deliberately avoided looking at Mike, but the little hand held in Mike's hand showed no intention of struggling.

"I don't want to make any excuses. I was wrong this time." Mike smiled and stroked the back of Penelope's hand gently, saying, "My glory also belongs to you, my queen."

The fireplace crackled, and the twisting and jumping fire made Penelope's face red. Maybe it was because of the alcohol, but Penelope suddenly became bolder.

The little hand held by Mike gently scratched the palm of Mike's hand, threw Mike a coquettish look and said unhappily: "Okay, I forgive you."

Hearing this, Mike immediately breathed a sigh of relief and made an exaggerated gesture of relief, which made Penelope cover her mouth and laugh.

...

Late at night, Mike tossed and turned in his small bed in the dormitory, unable to sleep.

After coaxing Penelope into calming down again, the celebration finally ended. After sending Penelope to the girls' dormitory, Mike returned to the dormitory alone to wash up.

Although everything seemed to be going smoothly, Mike still felt like something was missing.

Just as Mike was daydreaming, the familiar sound of knocking on glass rang out again.

Shaking his head to get rid of all the mess in his mind, Mike got up, opened the window, and took the letter off the owl.

The whole envelope was pure white like snow, with only a raven holding a magic wand on the postmark. Mike recognized this pattern, which was the symbol of the Raven's Nest. Mike's heartbeat began to accelerate when he saw this symbol. This was a secret code that Mike agreed with a few friends because he was afraid that the heir would use the method of sending letters to lure others out again.

As soon as the letter was opened, the envelope and letter paper in Mike's hands began to burn. As the flames danced, Professor Flitwick's voice appeared in Mike's ears.

"Mike, I'm back at Hogwarts. Please come to my office immediately."

As Flitwick's voice died away, the letter burned up.

Mike didn't dare to delay, he put on a robe and walked out of the dormitory.

The fire in the lounge had been extinguished, and many drunk boys were lying on the ground with no one caring them. Looking at Roger's snoring face, Mike shook his head.

Roger thought that everything would be fine as long as Professor Flitwick was not in school, but he didn't expect that Professor Flitwick would come back now instead of earlier or later.

I drove all the way to the office using the Disillusionment Charm, and saw Professor Flitwick carefully taking a small box out of the bag of the Traceless Extension Charm.

Seeing Flitwick's nervous look, Mike waited until Flitwick placed it on the table before speaking:
"Professor Flitwick, I'm glad to have you back. It's a shame you missed my game."

Flitwick was startled when he heard Mike's voice, but fortunately he had placed the small box on the table, otherwise it would have been smashed.

"Mike! You're finally here." Flitwick said with a big smile, "I'm sorry I missed your game, but I have absolute trust in you, and you didn't let me down."

As soon as he finished speaking, Flitwick burst into laughter, and it was obvious that he was in a very good mood at the moment.

"Then what is the matter that has called me here so late?"

"I'm sorry to call you here so late, but I just can't bear to tell you this good news until tomorrow. As you know, I'm actually an impatient person." Flitwick said with his hands dancing excitedly, "I have sent those fragments to the Raven's Nest for identification, and the result of the identification is that those fragments are indeed fragments of the crown!

Furthermore, upon inspection, the fragments are found to be very complete, and after being repaired by an alchemist, the crown may be restored to the human world.”

Mike's eyes widened when he heard this, he could not imagine that the alchemists of this era had such a high level of skills that they could repair the artifact made by the legendary wizard Ravenclaw in the Middle Ages.

But thinking about it makes me feel relieved. The wizarding world where Harry Potter lives is somewhat different from the traditional worlds of Ragnarok and the collapse of aura.

The magic power of this world has remained at an average level from beginning to end and has never regressed.

This also leads to the continuous progress of the wizarding society in this world.

For example, a thousand years ago, practicing magic spells could only rely on talent, but today wizards have developed a complete and very comprehensive magic spell system, which enables many wizards who originally did not meet the standards for using magic spells to cast spells.

Mike believed that if the wizarding world was given another few hundred or thousand years, the Squibs would be able to cast spells, and even ordinary Muggles would be able to master this magical power one day.

It seems that repairing the crown is not a big deal with today's alchemy level a thousand years later.

However, just when Mike was full of expectations for today's alchemy, Flitwick poured cold water on him.

"We have invited Master Edie Edward, who is the best at alchemy in the Ministry of Magic, to repair the crown. In a few months we should be able to see a brand new crown." Flitwick said with anticipation, "But Master Edward said that he can't restore the crown's magical power that can give people wisdom, nor can he restore the crown to its original hardness. But even if it's just a showpiece, it's enough. After all, that's the crown of Ravenclaw!"
