Chapter 241 Catalogue of Export Restricted Technologies
Chapter 241 Catalogue of Export Restricted Technologies (Updated!)
"In the media propaganda, it has been claimed that our country is the only fully manufacturing economy among the 31 major categories, 179 medium categories and 613 small categories of industry.
But in fact, after being subdivided into more levels, there are more than three million industrial categories, and even China is still unable to supply all categories.
Moreover, many of China's manufacturing industries will not be able to be self-sufficient after leaving the global supply chain. Once the global industrial chain leaves China, there will be almost no products that cannot be replaced by China's supply.
Of course, this is not to belittle China. In the era of economic globalization, no country can be self-sufficient without the global supply chain.
Here we just take our country as an example to illustrate how meaningful it would be if Huawei could really achieve the effect they advertised.
Vietnam, India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Egypt, Ethiopia, Turkey, Mexico, Malaysia, Philippines.
These countries are sharing orders for textiles, shoes and hats, electronics and other light industrial products that have been transferred out of China.
China accounts for 60 to 90% of the global production in textiles, garments, shoes, personal computers, mobile phones, photovoltaics, and metals, and its overall industrial product supply accounts for 32% of the world's total.
However, these major categories of products can and have already entered the supply chain transfer in the above-mentioned ten countries.
We still have huge advantages in product integration in the supply chain.
But the West's high-tech containment and high tariff barriers are aimed at weakening our manufacturing advantages.
Manufacturing is the only way for China to cross the middle-income trap and avoid falling into a situation of becoming weak before becoming rich.
We need to protect or nurture our manufacturing industry.
Let’s talk about agriculture first. It is easier for everyone to understand that China has been very strong in the seed industry in recent years. China Seed Group has almost occupied more than 50% of the global GMO market share.
But even so, when people talk about agricultural powers internationally, no one will mention China.
America, the Kangaroo Republic, France, Germany, Argentina, Russia, etc. are regarded as agricultural powers.
Of course, in reality the Netherlands is the strongest agricultural country, followed by America.
Because the measurement standard is agricultural technology, including seeds, agricultural machinery, farming techniques, pesticides, fertilizers, etc.
In addition to comprehensive costs and yields, this also includes long-term sustainable farmland technology.
In these sub-sectors, China's performance in seed and fertilizer sectors is quite good, while its performance in other agricultural sectors can be said to be average.
China's grain output is no lower than that of large agricultural economies such as the United States and Europe.
However, the cost of almost all food in China is higher than that in America, about 40% higher, which is very exaggerated.
At the same time, a high proportion of China's arable land is salinized, compacted, polluted, heavily metalized, and desertified, and there is both water and soil pollution and erosion.
Agriculture clearly demonstrates China's huge size and high cost.
China is in a similar situation industrially.
Just as we compare supply, cost, and quality in agricultural products, we should also compare supply and cost in industry, and also take into account quality, R&D, technology, irreplaceability, brand, management, competitiveness, environment, labor income, etc.
When these are added together and the manufacturing advantages of China are measured, readers will probably have a clear answer.
That is we still have a long way to go.
China's machinery output value exceeds that of Germany, but is concentrated in the middle and low ends.
High-end machinery, machine tools, etc. are still dominated by German and Japanese products.
Samsung and Apple are transferring their mobile phone production lines to Annan and Afghanistan, so the mechanical and electrical industry, which has made a huge contribution to China's foreign trade, is following the footsteps of the textile industry and moving abroad.
However, given the current industry depth and costs, China's manufacturing industry still has certain advantages.
The supply chain transfer is ongoing, and as industry insiders, we do not want it to become a thing of the past. Before China's manufacturing industry can eat up the middle and high-end industrial chain, we cannot accept the low-end industrial chain leaving China.
After losing the low-end manufacturing industry, it will be impossible to cultivate mid- and high-end manufacturing industries.
The contradiction now is that we know the crux of the problem: the advantage of low labor costs can no longer be maintained.
The integrated industrial Internet solution created by Huawei can solve this problem well.
But time is running out, and it will be difficult to get them back after the supply chain shift occurs.
Hua Wei has a heavy responsibility.
The combination of industrial VR and industrial intelligence can unleash productivity.
It used to take ten people, but now it only takes one.
Capital is unwilling to increase the wages of ten people, so if one person does the work of ten people and you pay him twice as much, they will definitely be willing to do that.
Not only has productivity been improved, but labor income has also increased.
As a veteran in manufacturing supply chain management, I can clearly see the current trend.
Developed countries hope to achieve the return of medium and high-end manufacturing industries through high-tech bans, tariff barriers and global supply chain restructuring, and replace human labor through robotic automation.
Huawei has the opportunity to be one step ahead of them and promote large-scale unmanned factories first.
Keeping the supply chain in China is not only an economic benefit, but also a political benefit.
Make it even more difficult for developed countries to decouple from China. Developed countries are not just America. We need to unite other forces that can be united.
America wants to kick us out of the global supply chain, but we can do the opposite and kick them out of the global supply chain.
Although I am not a pollen fan, I sincerely hope that Huawei will succeed this time.”
Most of the comments were optimistic and believed that what Hua Wei had created this time was of great significance.
The outside world is not yet clear whether the industrial VR that Huawei is going to develop is equipped with Ke Chuang Bio's second-generation brain-computer connection VR technology.
Of course, brain-computer connection technology is not the most important factor in whether industrial VR can succeed.
The most important thing is the industrial VR system and supporting artificial intelligence.
If VR operations still rely on a large amount of manual labor, the Industrial Internet will be of little significance.
It will only be limited to high-risk operation areas, such as disaster relief, water pump maintenance and other areas where personal danger exists.
Internet giants are well aware that Huawei will be equipped with the second-generation brain-computer connection VR technology.
At the same time, Internet giants also want to get a piece of the pie in the field of Industry 4.0.
Therefore, while Huawei was still negotiating with Kechuang Biotechnology, Ali, Tencent and Dami approached Kechuang Biotechnology hoping to reach a cooperation.
Not only domestic manufacturers, but also foreign companies like Microsoft, which has been engaged in industrial VR for many years, also hope to obtain patent authorization for brain-computer connection technology.
In the end, Kechuang Biotechnology authorized its technology to domestic manufacturers.
As for companies like Microsoft, they were directly rejected by the official level on behalf of Ke Chuang Biotechnology.
The Chinese government has included all brain-computer VR technologies in the list of export restricted technologies.
The update has been delayed for too long, and it’s finally here today!
My procrastination, oh~
