Chapter 640

Wu Yue looked at the male who had just been rescued not far away: "Tell me what those vines look like?"

She had never seen a killer vine living in water before, even though she had been in this world for so long.

The male's face was slightly pale, and fear still lingered in his pupils: "The vines were entangled with a lot of green water plants. Occasionally, when they flashed by, you could see some of the vines' own patterns. The part that extended from the river was very thick, but it became thinner towards the end. When it attacked us, it was very agile, like a water beast."

A cold glint flashed in Wu Yue's eyes: "Did you see clearly that those are vines?"

The male was clearly taken aback by her question, and after a moment his face turned deathly pale: "I only thought it was vines because I saw that there were water plants tangled up there, but if it's not vines, what kind of water beast has such a long tail?"

It stretched out of the water and struck their bodies as they patrolled the edge of the forest, piercing through the bodies of several tribesmen.

Wu Yueling pursed her lips slightly: "Let's go take a look first."

Unless these vines have developed sentience, and everyone says that spirits are not allowed after the founding of the People's Republic of China, but there is no country here, could some kind of monster really have been born?
However, thinking of the Sea Serpent Tribe, with whom she had recently parted ways on bad terms, she still felt a bit suspicious.

Although she didn't think the orc warriors of the super tribe would be so petty as to kill members of their own tribe in retaliation.

However, several wizards said that the Sea Serpent Tribe has never been a good-tempered tribe, and its reputation among super tribes is not very good.

Not far from the riverbank, looking at the heavily wounded patrol team in front of her, Wu Yue felt as if a fire had been ignited in her heart.

Her magical healing abilities are limited; the surviving members of her tribe are severely injured, and she cannot heal them all at once.

"Master, bring me two healing talismans."

The life-giving magical energy enveloped the entire patrol team, and the horrific wounds on the bodies of the tribesmen who had been on the verge of death began to heal at a visible speed. In just a few breaths, they were all healed and regained consciousness.

They learned about the 'vines' attacking them in the river from various tribesmen; everyone had seen something different, with some even describing orc warriors with very long arms.

“Wu Yue, based on what these males are saying, I think it’s more likely that they are orc warriors.”

Kuro, who had come along with them, suddenly spoke up.

Wu Yue looked at the distance with a gloomy expression: "Go and see for yourself."

Thinking of something, she looked at Kuro, who was about to walk with her, and said, "Don't go yet. If those are really orc warriors, they probably won't show themselves easily if they sense your presence approaching."

After all, the powerful aura emanating from Kuro was quite noticeable to the orc warriors who also cultivated the power of the Beast God. Waving her hand to signal her people to stay put, Wu Yue silently activated a barrier talisman as her magical power surged.

An invisible barrier protected her completely, but the orcs hidden in the river could not see her at all.

Unbeknownst to her, several enormous, winding creatures were lurking at the bottom of the surging Linhe River. The powerful pressure emanating from their bodies instantly cleared this section of the river, and no water beast dared to move about in it anymore.

Its slender, robust form sometimes swam in the river, its cold eyes filled with cruelty and arrogance.

"I can't even swim freely in this little river. I wouldn't have come here if it weren't to stand up for the captain."

A giant python flicked its scarlet tongue, its cold eyes filled with impatience.

Its enormous snake head turned to its even more robust and massive companion on the other side: "We've already killed so many, let's go back soon. I miss the taste of sea turtle cubs. I haven't had them in so long, I'm really craving them."

As he spoke, a little green, viscous liquid even secreted from the edge of his constantly flicking forked tongue. The liquid was diluted by the Linhe River water and flowed downstream.

Downstream, unseen by anyone, the piranhas, which were just about to rush up and tear apart a wild animal that had accidentally fallen into the river, suddenly turned belly up without warning, leaving the surface of the water covered with a dense mass of fish carcasses.

The beast, which was about to face its death, paused for a moment, then let out a joyful neigh and struggled to get ashore on the lower edge with all four hooves pawing at it.

It shook off its wet fur, and then, quite proudly, let out a triumphant howl at the piranha carcass that had long since drifted away in the river. With bouncy little steps, it ran off into the distance.

At this moment, the leader of the giant pythons, who were complaining to each other and exchanging information, suddenly raised his huge snake head, and his cold vertical pupils swept around his tribesmen. Several giant pythons held their breath instantly upon seeing this.

After the lead python raised its head for a moment, it extended its tongue, conveying a message to the other members of its tribe.

“A very weak aura is approaching the river. Judging from the aura emanating from it, this weak magical power should not even belong to a wizard.”

"Could this be the little tribal shaman the captain mentioned?"

The lead python's eyes were cold and cruel: "Whether it is or not, catch it first."

No sooner had he finished speaking than the giant python, which had previously complained about being bored and wanted to eat baby sea turtles, hissed and its thick tail shot out of the water, heading towards the only living creature.

Its rapid speed gives one the feeling that they will be pierced in an instant.
