Chapter 167 Fighting
Mo Mo wandered around and bought a lot of food, all of which were her favorites. She didn't know if Qing Qing would like them, but she had asked and found out that they were all safe for pregnant women.

After finishing the last dried fish, Mo Mo nodded. "Delicious, delicious. Should I buy some more for Qingqing?" After thinking for a moment, Mo Mo shook his head. "No, Qingqing can't stand the smell of fish right now."

Momo suddenly stopped chewing, twitched his nostrils, sniffed the air, and looked sharply into the alley where he could smell the blood of his kind!

Walking into the alley, Mo Mo slowly saw scattered bloodstains. When she reached the place where the smell of blood was coming from, she saw a man in a black shirt holding a yellow-patterned cat in his hands. The cat's head was limp and drooping, and blood was spilling from the corner of its mouth. It was the cat that had just asked her for dried fish!

As Mo Mo approached, she caught a glimpse of a bloody, mangled mess out of the corner of her eye. Turning her head, the stench of blood in the air told her it belonged to a cat. Mo Mo's pupils contracted—it was a cat's entrails! She turned to look at the cat in the man's arms. The cat's abdomen was covered in blood; these entrails were its own. The cat that had just been talking to her was dead! It had died so horribly!

What did that ordinary cat do wrong to deserve such torture? The sight of that red color enraged Mo Mo, who threw down what he was holding and charged forward in a fit of rage.

Gu Haolin's hands trembled as he held the body of the yellow-patterned cat. Who could be so cruel! Hearing a whooshing sound behind him, Gu Haolin quickly put down the cat's body and raised his hand to block. The person who came was very strong and kicked him back two steps, only stopping when he hit the wall.

He quickly turned to look at the person who had approached him. It was a woman. Who was she? Why was she hitting him? Was she a political enemy of the Gu family? "Who are you?"

"Scum!" Mo Mo sneered. She really didn't understand why these humans always asked "Who are you?" and "What do you want?" before fighting. Wasn't it obvious? Did they think I wouldn't hit you just because you asked?

Mo Mo kicked Gu Haolin again, but Gu Haolin dodged with a spin, and Mo Mo kicked the wall.

Mo Mo wasn't discouraged by missing her kick. Compared to her footwork, she was better at using her claws. Mo Mo formed her five fingers into claws and made an attacking motion. Mo Mo was a cat, so she was light and agile. With a slight push, Mo Mo rushed in front of Gu Haolin and her sharp nails scratched at his face.

So fast! Is it a support-type speed ability? Mo Mo was too fast, Gu Haolin almost couldn't react. Gu Haolin bent over, flipped and slid back, creating a two-meter distance between himself and Mo Mo. Even though his reaction was not slow, he still couldn't outrun Mo Mo, and a bloody scratch was still left on his face.

Gu Haolin pressed his tongue against his cheek, causing blood to flow from the wound on his face, making his face itchy. He wiped it with his hand; there was still quite a lot of blood. This woman's nails were really sharp! And she was quite skilled as well.

"Who sent you? I advise you to tell the truth, or I won't go easy on you just because you're a woman!" Gu Haolin opened his palm, blue arcs of electricity crackling in his hand.

"A superhuman?" Mo Mo frowned.

She really knew about superpowers! Gu Haolin's eyes darkened for a moment.

Mo Mo sneered, "I don't know what you're talking about! So what if you're a superhuman? Does that give you the right to kill innocent people indiscriminately? It's just an ordinary cat with a short lifespan. Why did you have to harm it!"

Gu Haolin was surprised. It sounded like this woman wasn't sent by anyone, but just thought he had killed the cat and came to settle scores? It could also be a cover-up by this woman! But if he really came for the cat, then he would have to explain.

"I didn't harm this cat. It was like this when I arrived!" Gu Haolin explained with a frown. He just wanted to give the kitten a proper burial.

Mo Mo scoffed, "You think I'll believe you just because you say that? You're covered in blood and carrying its corpse, who else could it be but you?" Seeing that this person was still trying to argue, Mo Mo's anger intensified, and he decided not to waste words with him. His hands once again formed claws, and his nails grew an inch longer, gleaming coldly and appearing very sharp.

She's a superhuman too! Mo Mo's nails were like knives. Gu Haolin looked at Mo Mo's nails warily and said, "Believe it or not! I suspect you're just making up an excuse to fight me."

Since they couldn't agree on anything, the two stopped talking and started fighting. Mo Mo's fingernails were indeed like knives, and if you weren't careful, they could leave a cut on Gu Haolin's body.

Mo Mo's situation wasn't much better. Lightning is a powerful natural force, and even though Mo Mo is a demon, she wasn't immune. She was a cat demon, not rubber that doesn't conduct electricity. Gu Haolin's electricity made her hair stand on end, and her body was scorched and blackened in patches.

The two were evenly matched, both panting heavily as they glared at each other. Gu Haolin had conjured an electric ball in his right hand, with electric arcs flashing continuously. The electricity inside the ball was being compressed, its size gradually decreasing, but its aura grew stronger.

Mo Mo also unleashed his demonic power, his aura in no way inferior to Gu Haolin's.

The two were about to unleash their ultimate moves. A gentle breeze blew by, and their eyes narrowed as they moved simultaneously.

Both of them felt the pressure from each other's moves. Suddenly, Mo Mo heard a sound and quickly dodged over. Mo Mo withdrew his demonic power and squatted down.

Gu Haolin missed his first attack, and the electric ball in his hand was thrown away. He staggered a couple of steps, and the electric ball hit the power lines on the utility pole. The interference between the two caused an instant power outage in the area, and the music outside the alley also stopped.

What's going on? Gu Haolin turned around and saw the woman take out a familiar white cat from a pile of clutter. The cat was meowing softly with blood trickling from its mouth.

The woman, her eyes red, said to the kitten, "How are you? I'll take you to the hospital!" She acted as if she could understand the kitten.

"Meow~ Meow~ Meow~" The little white cat could smell the cat's scent on this human. It didn't know why this cat looked like a human, but it was sure it was a cat. Out of trust for its kind, the little white cat endured the pain and prepared to explain the whole story to Mo Mo.

Hearing what the little white cat said, Mo Mo looked at Gu Haolin in surprise. This person often came to feed these stray cats. The little white cat also said that he was not the one who hurt them. Could it be that she had mistaken him for someone else?
"Meow~meow~"

Mo Mo looked around and sure enough, she saw a baseball cap not far away. The little white cat said that it was the man wearing the baseball cap who hurt them. Mo Mo picked up the cap and smelled it. Her pupils contracted. This smell was the same man who had scared the little yellow cat out of his dried fish while they were queuing! He had helped the kitten move the dried fish to a safe place. She thought he was a good person, but she never expected him to be a pervert who had tortured and killed that kitten!

And this man, whom she thought was a bad person, actually came to feed them frequently.

Gu Haolin felt uncomfortable being stared at. "Why are you looking at me like that?"
