Chapter 545 The Kron Clan
It is obvious that, as plant-based life forms, the wisteria tribe does not have the concept of bathing, so there are naturally no toilets or similar facilities in the botanical garden.

However, Kanger still gave Li Zheng a good idea: there are water pipes in the botanical garden for irrigating the plants and maintaining Kanger's own survival. Li Zheng can boil water to take a bath or take a shower directly under the water pipes.

Li Zheng never expected that his quality of life would decline instead of improve after entering the outer city.

Now even taking a shower once a day is difficult to maintain.

With no other option, Li Zheng took out a large pile of furs and other items from the capsule and asked the three Kota brothers to help him build a makeshift shower room, where he took a cold shower.

Surprisingly, although Li Zheng prefers hot baths, taking a cold shower occasionally is actually quite refreshing.

After taking a shower, the drowsiness that had just appeared vanished instantly. After packing his things, Li Zheng paced back and forth in the greenhouse, finally annoying Miriel.

"Are you going to sleep or not?" Miriel, feeling dizzy from looking at him, said impatiently, "If you're not going to sleep, go find something to do. Don't disturb my rest. I have to get up early tomorrow to prepare breakfast for you!"

Li Zheng stopped in his tracks: "I've noticed that ever since you started learning Chinese, the way you talk to me has become more and more like a housekeeper."

Suddenly, she became vulgar and approachable.

"What can I do?" Miriel rolled her eyes and turned her back to Li Zheng. "We still have to eat, right?"

She looked just like a resentful young wife. If it weren't for the fact that Miriel looked like a girl in her early teens, Li Zheng would have almost thought that there was something going on between them.

"Okay, I'll go out for a walk and won't bother you."

There was no other way; Li Zheng had to come out of the greenhouse.

The Wisteria tribe is very different from other races in its habits. This time should be a time for most races to rest, but Kanger and Basil are still busy as bees.

Li Zheng had no idea that the botanical garden was so small, and that there were so many problems with those plants.

After observing for a while but not being able to figure out what was going on, he went to the botanical garden's warehouse and took out a lot of fruits that didn't look very appealing, which he ate to pass the time.

Despite their unappealing appearance, the taste of these fruits instantly won over Li Zheng.

It has a light, sweet flavor and is very juicy; once you take the first bite, you can't help but want to take a second.

After finishing one fruit, he couldn't wait to pick up another and gnaw on it, the juice spilling out everywhere.

What Li Zheng didn't know was that the reason these fruits tasted so good was because Kanger had been taking care of them tirelessly and without rest.

As for its poor appearance, that's a natural result of survival of the fittest, and Kanger simply went with the flow.

The wisteria clan is fully capable of cultivating each fruit into the shape they desire, but doing so would inevitably violate the natural growth patterns of plants.

The Wisteria clan respects the freedom of each plant to grow; they simply optimize the growth process of the plants.

“You really can’t underestimate any race…” Li Zheng picked up the third fruit and took a big bite: “This is so delicious. Besides the advantage of its variety, perhaps even the Ugly Farmer can’t compare to the Wisteria Clan’s cultivation methods…”

"correct!"

Thinking of Ugly Farmer, Li Zheng remembered that he had two other robotic pets that had been kept in capsules, and he had even missed registering them before.

It wasn't that Li Zheng intentionally forgot about the two crimson robots he brought back from the Kron tribe's territory; it was simply that due to the language barrier, Kuro and Is's presence was extremely weak.

After a brief recollection, Li Zheng retrieved the language of the Kron race from his memories and discovered a very strange detail. Logically, a race left in the Matrix for trials, and given the Kron race's current state—essentially extinct—why would a copy of their language still exist in the outer city?

I forget where I got the information, but it is said that all information about exterminated races, including their written language and other information, will be deleted from the Matrix and the various systems of the outer city.

If I remember correctly, the main reason for doing this was to save resources on the terminal.

Useless things should naturally be buried in the dust of history.

Since the language and script of the Crone people still exist in the outer city, it means that there are still Crone people living in the outer city.

If that's the case, how did the Kron race become a trial race?

Could it be that, like the ancient remnants of the race, they returned voluntarily?

With doubts in mind, Li Zheng released Kuro and Is, intending to ask them for clarification.

Although the two blood-red robots possess biological consciousness, their physical structures are entirely inorganic, allowing them to be stored in capsules that cannot hold living beings for extended periods.

Back in the "Bloody Battlefield," Kuro and Is had always relied on each other for survival and were used to living with only each other. So even though Li Zheng hadn't released them for almost thirty hours, they didn't feel any discomfort.

Too lazy to speak the Crone language directly, Li Zheng put on a translator and asked, "Tell me, what's the deal with your race?"

After being translated by the translator, the Chinese language instantly became pure Crone language. Moreover, because of the translation, the mechanical voice emitted from the translator was almost identical to the style of Kuro and the others when they spoke.

"My lord, can you finally communicate with us?" Is seemed quite excited.

Kuro appeared relatively more composed. He used his mechanical eye to look at Li Zheng's ear: "Translator, has the master successfully entered the outer city? The master's talent is indeed amazing. He was able to enter the outer city in just over thirty days of this survival selection, which is almost seventy days faster than the progress of the Kron tribe!"

Seventy days?
Li Zheng's eyes flickered slightly. He was able to enter the outer city so quickly, almost entirely thanks to the treasure chest system.

To put it bluntly, if the treasure chest system hadn't given him a blueprint for a gene potion making station, he probably would have died when he encountered the three-headed ghost lion.

“You and Is seem to be from different eras?” Li Zheng noticed that Kuro knew more than Is. “I just discovered that your race’s language is still preserved in the outer city. This means that there are still people of the Kron race living in the outer city or the wilderness. Can you tell me how that happened?”

Moreover, what Kuro just said already revealed that a considerable number of the Kron race entered the outer city. But why are so many of them still left in the Matrix?

This is something Li Zheng couldn't figure out.

"It's a long story."

Kuro said dejectedly, "In short, the reason our race became a trial race is because we were deceived!"

"Scammed?" Li Zheng was stunned. "Was it the terminal?"

Besides the terminal, who else has such great ability?

How to trick most of an entire race back into the Matrix?

“They are an ancient race!” When Kuro mentioned this name, Li Zheng could even hear the gritted teeth in his voice.
