Chapter 113 The World Through the Eyes of Monsters

(Preparing to resume normal updates.)
"Why are you here?"

Looking at the dark entity before her, the angel of creation Raziel, the woman's face showed some confusion; she did not understand why.

"Why am I here?"

The dark creature in front of her leaned against the seaside rocks, then glanced at her with its vertical pupils, which were icy cold.

"Woman, the earth is my body, the ocean is my garment, and this world is my bed when I sleep. I want to ask you, how did you end up on my bed?"

The mocking voice carried a deep arrogance.

Accompanied by the voice of the dark creature, the sea before the woman became turbulent, dark clouds gradually filled the sky, and restless lightning appeared and disappeared among the clouds, emitting a low and suppressed thunder.

"Rumble..."

In the gloomy sky, against the backdrop of lightning behind him, the pitch-black figure was indistinguishable, with only a pair of vertical snake eyes staring intently at the woman in front of him.

As the dark entity said, its true form is this vast and boundless land, with oceans and lakes forming irregular patterns on its magnificent body, and the woman who left the heavens landed on it.

"I want to ask you for an answer."

The woman was not intimidated by the various celestial phenomena before her. Instead, she thought about it carefully before speaking.

"The answer? An interesting woman."

"That's what the dark thing said with interest."

Then, gazing at the dark object before her, the woman fell silent for a moment, as if deep in thought. Finally, she took a deep breath, then stared fearlessly into the vertical pupils of the dark object and asked earnestly.

"Raziel, tell me, what is freedom?"

"Or rather... am I, whom you orchestrated and who ultimately chose to betray Eden, truly free in your eyes? Or am I merely a puppet in your hands!"

She spoke each word clearly, her bright, clear eyes showing no trace of confusion or bewilderment.

As the woman spoke, the world turned white in an instant.

"Rumble..."

Above the oppressive sky, thunder dragons danced, and amidst the deafening roar of thunder, the turbulent sea suddenly roared, the surging waves crashing against the coastal rocks, shattering them into countless tiny droplets that fell upon the woman.

Beneath the oppressive sky, only those cold, inhuman eyes glanced at her.

In the drizzling rain, fine raindrops splashed onto the woman's smooth, long hair and fair cheeks, but looking into those indifferent, inhuman pupils, the woman's eyes were unusually stubborn, refusing to yield an inch.

The oldest humans, possessing brilliant minds, are the children of God and one of only two life forms in the entire universe.

Neither God nor the serpent can be described as life, and angels are merely God's hands, feet, tools, and external extensions of his will. Only Adam and Lilith are the only two living beings in the entire universe, and in a sense, the entire universe revolves around them.

It is unknown when the intelligent woman realized this, but there is no doubt...

She knew the design of the dark entity. But the owner of the non-human pupils did not answer her directly. Instead, she lay leisurely on the reef, ignoring the fierce sea wind beside her, and continued to admire the magnificent scenery in front of her. After a while, when the woman's naked body was shivering in the cold wind, a detached voice finally rang out.

Why do you ask me what freedom is?

The woman endured the cold wind, thought for a moment, and then spoke.

"Because I think you are the freest and most unrestrained person I have ever met, and I think you might know what freedom is."

The sincere voice contained no falsehood. Although the woman was no longer ignorant, she still could not understand what a lie was. She had never seen any being as free and unrestrained as the dark thing.

In her eyes, darkness was almost equivalent to freedom.

However, all she received in response was unrestrained laughter, as if she had heard an extremely funny joke.

"Hahahahahaha..."

"Woman, do you know that someone once asked me a similar question?"

"That guy was trapped by fate, trying to break free but unable to, so he asked me what fate is. I replied with a sneer, I have never seen any ropes on you. What binds you is only your own heart."

"That self-proclaimed most intelligent evil god is so foolish, obsessed and indulging in so-called wisdom and schemes, that he is completely unable to understand what even the most dull-witted beasts in their eyes know. Truth and wisdom, these things that mortals rely on as pillars and regard as treasures, have blinded them. Can dust really be called dust?"

His unrestrained and arrogant low laughter carried a deep sense of contempt and arrogance.

"Woman, you ask me what freedom is, but I can tell you plainly that I have never known what freedom is. It's like a centipede not knowing which leg it takes first, or an old man with a white beard not remembering whether he sleeps with his long beard inside or outside the blanket. I have never cared about such things, not in the past, not now, and not in the future."

"What is freedom? Freedom is always self-defined. There is no real thing in this world called freedom. There is no stone, no drop of water, no ray of light, no flower called freedom. In my opinion, woman, you were most free when you were in the Garden of Eden, unaware of what freedom was, unaware of life and death, carefree and ignorant. But when you gained wisdom, you understood what freedom was, but you also lost it."

"Puppet? Freedom? These are just things you defined yourself. I gave you guidance, but everything after that was your own choice. You chose to pursue the freedom in your heart, to pursue your love, to pursue your desires and wants."

"I have never used ropes to control you; it has always been you who controls yourself, woman."

In the dim light, the smile on the lips of the dark creature was full of mockery and ridicule, and its vertical pupils held only madness.

This monster has always despised and disdained wisdom; in its eyes, it is nothing more than something that blinds mortals.

Tens of thousands of years of sacrificial rituals have allowed it to witness countless mortal souls and minds. Its accumulated knowledge and wisdom far surpasses that of many so-called "great sages" and "great prophets," yet it still disdains them.

The arrogant monster doesn't think about things it deems useless, but that doesn't mean it's incapable of understanding wisdom. On the contrary, it has long since become extremely intelligent.

Under the cold gaze of those eyes, the woman looked somewhat bewildered. She opened her mouth, wanting to say something but unable to, and after hesitating for a long time, she finally chose to turn and leave.

She is somewhat confused now, and there are some things she needs to figure out.

However, the dark entity didn't seem to care. It remained completely at ease, knowing that the woman would eventually choose to return to it.

At the fingertips, a black chess piece, its shape indistinct, flutters up and down.

A smile appeared on his lips.
