Devouring World Dragon

Chapter 108 Lilith in the Garden of Eden

Chapter 108 Lilith in the Garden of Eden
Within the purest and cleanest white moon, in the Garden of Eden.

A soft, holy light emanated from the sky above, illuminating the earth. The lush green land was dotted with various flowers, and butterflies fluttered among them. Trees laden with fruit were everywhere, which could be picked at will. Occasionally, animals such as deer would lead their fawns across the meadow to drink from the sweet stream.

This is God's kingdom, where there is no war or strife, no worries, and everything one can think of exists. There is no need to toil for survival, nor is there any confusion about death; everything is free and self-sufficient.

When tired, they could lie down on the earth to rest, and when they woke up, they could play and frolic again. It was a paradise before humans came into contact with the mortal world, where there was only endless joy and happiness.

In this paradise, a slender and beautiful naked woman walked from afar. Her long, silvery-white hair trailed on the ground. There was no sorrow or worry on her face. Her innocent and sincere eyes showed no shame for her nakedness, for she had been naked since birth, born clean and unblemished. Why should she cover her natural and free body?

In this primitive and chaotic era, the ideas of later generations were not imposed on this ancient human ancestor. In her eyes, she was just like the wild beasts in the forest, the birds in the sky, and the fruits on the trees, in harmony with nature. She had no privacy or impurity, neither in her body nor in her heart, and therefore had nothing that she could not show to others.

A woman named Lilith approached a fruit tree, stretched out her hand, and the fruit on the branch naturally drooped down, just close to the woman's palm. After picking it, Lilith held the fruit in both hands and sat on the grass, taking small bites of it.

Just then, a lazy voice suddenly came from above her head.

"It's really fun."

She raised her head blankly, only to see a dark creature shrouded in darkness lying leisurely on the thick branches of the fruit tree in front of her, holding a newly picked fruit in its hand.

Unlike the rigid and strict angels, and unlike the joyful and natural self and Adam, this dark being is filled with a kind of carefree and unrestrained nature. This unrestrained dark being is carefully examining the fruit in its hand, as if it were some rare treasure.

"Angel Raziel?"

Lilith, who had seen this angel once in the Crystal Heaven, immediately recognized the angel of creation before her. Without any fear or trepidation, she naturally held up the fruit in her palm to the dark entity before her, a pure and beautiful smile appearing on her face.

"do you want to eat?"

She didn't think about any questions like "I've already taken a bite of this fruit," "Will the other person accept it?" or "Was it too abrupt?" because for her, giving the fruit she liked to someone she saw was a very natural thing to do.

A pure heart is naturally without pretense.

There is no pretense or disguise. If you like something, you like it; if you're willing, you're willing; if you want something, you want it. There is no third color in your clear black and white eyes. They are primitive and pure.

His scarlet, indifferent eyes looked down at the woman under the tree. He didn't answer directly, but instead tossed the fruit in his hand aside and disappeared from the sight of this oldest human being.

Some bewildered women stared blankly, wondering what they had done wrong.

However, she didn't care about this trivial matter and continued to live happily in this Eden where time seemed to stand still.

It wasn't until much later that she saw this completely different angel again.

……

A woman taking a walk by a babbling brook inadvertently saw the angel Raziel resting by the stream. The dark creature, whose entire body was black and whose face could not be seen, lay quietly resting by the stream as if no one was around.

Looking at the peacefully sleeping angel Raziel before her, the woman had an idea...

She crouched down, crawling on all fours like a wild beast, moving slowly and quietly through the grass, trying to sneak up on the angel and then suddenly appear to startle him.

She and Adam had played this game many times and enjoyed it immensely.

One step... two steps... three steps... closer and closer... so close that she could almost see the angel's closed eyes.

He suddenly stood up...

"..."

Before she could finish her excited exclamation, the angel who should have been asleep suddenly opened her eyes, her cold and indifferent pupils sending chills down her spine.

Her heart seemed to suddenly stop beating, and a deep fear enveloped the woman.

Looking at the dark object in front of her, she bit her lip, a strange feeling of grievance welling up in her heart. Her eyes reddened and gradually became misty. Finally, she squatted down and cried.

"Wow...wow..."

Her crying was loud, like a child wailing.

Standing before the weeping woman, gazing at her naked body, the dark creature, arms crossed, maintained its cold indifference in its eyes, but this time, it did not disappear.

After a long while, the woman's crying gradually subsided, replaced by a few sobs.

"I've cried enough."

A calm and indifferent voice came from behind, and upon hearing it, the woman squatted on the grass and nodded.

She felt no resentment toward the angel before her, because in her eyes, her feeling of being wronged and crying had nothing to do with the angel. The ignorant and simple life could not comprehend what dissatisfaction and resentment were, nor could it even comprehend fear. Those emotions were simply forcibly projected into her heart through the eyes of something dark.

Then, the darkness that had been cast before the woman vanished. Looking up, she saw that the dark figure was nowhere to be seen. The bewildered woman looked around, but the angel of creation was nowhere to be found.

This was Lilith's second encounter with the angel Raziel.

……

The third encounter took place on a mountain.

There are indeed mountains within the Garden of Eden. The Moon Heaven, the most expansive of the seven heavens, not only contains mountains and rivers, but also the sun, moon, and stars, which are governed by angels. It is a true heavenly world, and within this Garden of Eden lies an incomparably majestic mountain.

When the woman, out of curiosity, tried to climb the mountain, she traversed many ridges and finally discovered a precipice.

At the edge of the cliff, Raziel, the creator angel shrouded in darkness and unlike any other angel, sat overlooking the Garden of Eden below. From his vantage point, he could see the entire vast and beautiful Garden of Eden.

"Raziel?"

A somewhat confused voice arose.

This time, Raziel did not disappear, but continued to sit on the edge of the cliff, looking down at the world below.

The woman walked to the dark creature's side, sat down with her legs drawn up, and looked at the dark creature beside her with curiosity.

"What are you looking at?"

Questions arose.

The dark entity beside him did not answer directly, but looked at the world below and then spoke slowly.

"This mountain is called Kabbalah Mountain, and it can also be called the Kabbalah Tree or the Tree of Life."

"This mountain establishes the status and identity of all things in the world, from the lowest kingdoms to the highest crowns. And here is the wisdom I reside. Further up, one can reach the crown symbolized by Metatron, and then completely transcend the ranks of the mortals."

"In the distant future, humans who have left Eden will try to emulate the Tree of Life, attempting to ascend from the lowest kingdom to the first crown, return to their primal nature, and revert to their most primitive form—the original human—before entering this eternally blissful heavenly Eden."

"However, the difficulty of climbing this mountain far surpasses that of anything else in the world, and only one in ten million humans will be able to return to this Garden of Eden."

In the end, the dark creature's tone inexplicably carried a hint of mockery and sarcasm, its pupils icy cold.

"But I think it's easy to climb up."

The bewildered woman asked in confusion.

The ignorant humans could not understand the meaning of what the dark creature was saying, nor did they care about what it was saying. Instead, they focused on other things.

"Because you are originally a human being, you naturally move without hindrance."

The dark entity simply replied with a faint remark and then fell silent, continuing to calmly survey the vast landscape below.

However, the bewildered woman first looked at the dark object beside her, then lowered her head to think for a moment, and then opened her eyes wide to look at the dark object and asked.

Why did humanity leave the Garden of Eden?

There was some confusion in his bright eyes.

What is Eden like in your eyes?

Hearing the woman's words, the dark entity did not answer directly, but instead asked a question in return.

Listening to the words of the dark creature beside her, the woman thought for a moment, then began to count on her fingers very seriously.

"I can play with Adam, I can pick up fruit to eat whenever I want, and the fruit is delicious. When I'm tired, I can lie down on the grass and sleep... Hmm, it's so much fun."

A pure and sincere woman doesn't care about anything else. In her eyes, being able to live so freely and happily is the best life.

Beside him, the dark entity spoke calmly.

"Yes, it really is very happy. No need to think, no need to work hard, every day is carefree and joyful, life is full of endless pleasure, it's really... very 'blissful'..."

As it finished speaking, a strange smile inexplicably appeared on its lips. Then, its eyes glanced at the woman beside it, its vertical snake pupils icy cold.

"It's like living a carefree life, eating your fill and then sleeping..."

"Like livestock."
