Chen Ruolan blew a stray hair from her lips and said contentedly, "I left school when I was 16 and have been living with roommates for almost 7 years since then in District 16."

Chen Ruolan turned her back, and after a while, the sound of her breathing came from behind her.

Qi Tongshan stared blankly at the empty ceiling, the white paint resembling a movie screen, replaying her past with Chen Ruolan scene by scene.

Those precious memories flashed by one by one—

Scenes of the two laughing heartily at each other; their cheeky expressions while fighting over food; a scene of them sitting opposite each other in the library, quietly studying; the awkwardness of the two running errands back and forth at the welcome party...

Fate seems to have played a not-so-small joke on me.

I never expected to meet you in the real world during those last few days.

As always, her voice is full of uplifting energy, like a little sun, igniting her own passion and illuminating the darkness of others.
