Chapter 52 Lu Ze's Urban Diary

Chapter 52 Lu Ze's Urban Diary (Part 1)

At the entrance of Xuan Du Nightclub, all kinds of luxury cars are parked on the roadside. Compared to the currently popular "health-preserving disco", the guests of this old-fashioned performance-style nightclub are mostly middle-aged men and business people who are entertaining clients.

The men coming and going were pot-bellied, dressed in suits and ties, with their arms around the "princesses" wearing miniskirts and hot pants, smiling and teasing them in their ears.

A pair of black leather shoes stepped out of the door. Lu Ze loosened his tie, his face clearly showing signs of alcohol, and quickly walked in front of the client, opening the passenger side door of the client's car.

"Mr. Tang, please."

"Thank you for your hospitality today, Manager Liu and Xiao Lu. See you in a few days."

Lu Ze's boss quickly went over, stood outside the car door, bent down and exchanged pleasantries with President Tang who was sitting inside the car. After the car started, he straightened up, went to the nightclub to pay the bill, and then walked over to Lu Ze, who was squatting on the curb.

"Lu'er, is this okay? Here, have a smoke."

Lu Ze was clearly drunk. He leaned against the telephone pole behind him, barely managing to keep himself from sitting on the ground. He took the cigarette from Manager Liu and tucked it behind his ear, unable to speak, only shaking his head at Manager Liu.

"Tomorrow's a holiday, go home and get some sleep. Can you walk by yourself? I'll call you a taxi."

"No need, Brother Liu, I'll walk back myself. My home is nearby, just a few minutes' walk. Aren't you taking a taxi? I'll give you a ride."

He hailed a taxi, helped Manager Liu into the car, waved to him, and then swayed as he walked forward, passing a pharmacy and going inside.

He drank quite a lot today. At the restaurant, he drank seven two-ounce glasses in a row and about five or six beers. Then he moved on to a nightclub and drank beer and foreign liquor. He couldn't remember how much he drank.

"Give me two bottles of Lectra."

He paid eleven yuan for a bottle, walked out of the pharmacy, his legs were so weak he was almost numb, and he plopped down on the side of the road. Ignoring the dust on the ground, he unscrewed the bottle and drank it all in one gulp.

But then, in an instant, his stomach contracted violently, the alcohol in his stomach rushed to his throat, and he bent over and vomited.

He didn't care that vomit splattered on his shoes and pants; he was too drunk to care anyway. He simply opened another bottle, finished it, threw it in the trash can, and headed home.

He just graduated this year and has only been working for a little over a year, including his internship. He works as a designer at a not-so-big advertising company. Because he has a high alcohol tolerance, he is often asked to accompany clients.

Today's client was very important, and he was difficult to talk to at first, so Lu Ze could only try to liven up the atmosphere. Before the food even arrived, he drank half a jin of baijiu (a type of Chinese liquor). As a result, he managed to make the client happy, but he himself got completely drunk.

He wasn't lying; his home was over there. He walked to an old-style residential area, climbed up to the fourth floor using both hands and feet, leaned against his own door, and gently knocked.

I knocked twice, but there was no sound. I knocked twice more.

"Who?"

"I'll open the door."

She unlocked the door and pushed it, but it wouldn't budge because Lu Ze was blocking the doorway, head down, eyes closed, already asleep.

"Lu Ze, Lu Ze? Get up quickly, open the door and go inside to sleep, get up quickly, I can't open the door."

It wasn't until she pushed Lu Ze hard that she was able to squeeze out of the room. She smelled the strong smell of alcohol on Lu Ze and immediately frowned.

She sighed as if resigned to her fate, then pulled his arm and hoisted it onto her shoulder. It was commonplace for a girl who was about 1.6 meters tall to carry a man who was over 1.8 meters tall into the house.

"Hey hey. Hey hey."

First, throw Lu Ze on the sofa. After all, he's too dirty. As a girl who's a bit of a germaphobe, even if he's her boyfriend, it's absolutely unacceptable for him to be lying on the bed covered in dirt.

Then she looked at the two dishes and soup on the small dining table with annoyance. He often came home drunk, and by midnight he would be hungry. Just in case, even if Lu Ze had a business dinner in the evening, she would still cook him a meal. She sighed, put the dishes back in the kitchen, and said they could be reheated and eaten tomorrow. After cleaning up, she started helping Lu Ze take off his clothes.

She unexpectedly discovered a long, dark red hair on his shirt. She sniffed it, and it smelled strongly of alcohol, but she couldn't smell any perfume. Otherwise, Lu Ze wouldn't be able to sleep tonight.

In fact, she trusted Lu Ze a lot because he had never stayed out all night. No matter how late it was, he would always come home. Moreover, she understood that social engagements inevitably involved going to those kinds of places. Although she found it distasteful to find a hostess for a client, it was an unspoken rule in the industry. She was also working, so she should understand.

Looking at the hair in her hand and then at the dinner laid out in the kitchen, she understood, but she was still angry. She clenched her little fists and punched Lu Ze twice in the back, quite hard, making two muffled thuds.

"Cough cough."

Seeing Lu Ze coughing from being punched, she gently stroked his chest to help him catch his breath.

After all, she often beat Lu Ze while he was asleep, and she had developed a routine for it, so skilled that it made people feel sorry for Lu Ze.

Then she filled a basin with hot water and helped Lu Ze wipe the dust off his body. Seeing that he had scraped his knee after getting drunk, she felt sorry for him and blew on it.

After everything was tidied up, she took a blanket from the bedroom, covered Lu Ze with it, leaned against the bedroom door and stared at Lu Ze for a while. She couldn't control her excited little heart, ran over and kissed Lu Ze.

With a satisfied smile, she grabbed Lu Ze's cheek and pinched it before turning off the bedroom light, returning to her room, and falling asleep with her head on the pillow.

Around eight in the morning, he sat up from the sofa, his eyes still half-closed, not fully awake. His elbows and knees ached a bit. He lifted the blanket, looked at the wounds, and then lay back down. He was used to getting injured on his way home, and there had been times when it was even worse, as if he had been brutally beaten by socialism.

But now he can't sleep. He lies awake, staring at the yellowed plaster on the ceiling. This small room, about 30 square meters, in an old building that's 20 years old, is the love nest he and his girlfriend share.

In this big city, it's already quite good for two recent college graduates to have their own little place. Several of Lu Ze's classmates are still crammed into dormitories at their companies, but Lu Ze is still not satisfied with this quality of life.

If it were just him, then it would be easy to say anything, but he also has a girl with him, a girl who is willing to rent a small, run-down house with him. He can't just let her live with him like this, can he?

The bedroom door was pushed open, and she came out. Seeing that Lu Ze was already awake, she glared at him and went to the small bathroom to brush her teeth and wash up.

"Hey."

"?"

"Didn't you promise to go shopping with me today? Are you still going?"

Lu Ze struggled to sit up in bed, glanced at the time, and nodded. She had already been wronged enough, so she had to keep her promise.

The two of them squeezed into the bathroom, which was less than three square meters in size. Lu Ze stood next to her without any cover and urinated. She was already used to Lu Ze doing this, and even playfully slapped his butt.

"Ouch! I peed on my hand."

The bathroom walls were still cracked and peeling, and a 30-watt energy-saving light bulb could barely dispel the dimness, but the two of them were still filled with sweetness.

After changing her clothes, she took Lu Ze's arm, Lu Ze locked the door, and the two left with smiles.

Living in cramped conditions or not being financially well-off doesn't matter. What's most important is that the two of you can live happily together, right?
"."

I'm home now, and I'll resume my regular updates tonight. I'm really sorry about the past few days, but things are finally over.
