Kingdom Bloodline

Chapter 6 The First Drop of Blood

Chapter 6 The first drop of blood
When Thales came to his senses, he was already being choked by Quaid and lifted into the air.

He wanted to break free, he wanted to breathe.

Suddenly, the fingernail dug into the back of Quaid's right hand, as if it had scratched a hollow wound.

Without hesitation, Thales, his face already flushed red, dug his fingernails into the ground with all his might.

"what!"

Quaid cried out in pain, released his iron grip on his hands, and flung Thales violently against the wall.

Quaid clutched his palm; the wound on it, pierced by Yara's knife, was bleeding again.

"Damn it, Yass Ridton! Damn brat!"

Thales' vision went dark, and a familiar scene returned to his mind.

"deviant behavior, this is what we call human behavior that goes against social norms, which is generally referred to as crime. But we must know that crime is only a small part of deviant behavior—we are not concerned with the behavior itself, but with its meaning and understanding at the social and collective level—Durkheim was one of the earliest scholars to propose the concept of social norms, and he also viewed deviant behavior from a functionalist perspective—"

There is a view that law enforcement and punishment of those who engage in deviant behavior are one of the fundamental means by which those in power shape the people and mold the social structure.

These are fragments of Thales' past life memories; just now, he recovered another part of them.

"Devil! You devil!"

Just then, Sinti, yelling and kicking, dispelled the scene before Thales' eyes.

“Yes! I am the devil!” Quaid chuckled. “Tell me, how will the devil deal with you?”

Thales took a deep breath.

Thales grabbed a stone from the corner of the room, pried it open, and reached his hand into a hidden hole behind it.

"Fine, since you're so brave, I'll save you for last."

Quaid threw Sinti off his feet and stomped hard on Sinti's dislocated leg.

Quaid left the yard and walked into the house.

Ryan crossed his arms, staring intently at the floor beneath him, trying his best to shrink himself even further into the hole in the wall.

Kelly shakily crawled out of the hole in the wall, trying to pull the now silent and hoarse Coria out so they could escape together.

But Coria seemed paralyzed with fear, sobbing and motionless.

Kelly didn't dare look at Cindy; she just pleaded with Coria.

Caught!
Thales found what he wanted and pulled it out hard.

Then?

Then Quaid, who looked delighted, grabbed his right arm from behind.

“You think I’d let you slip by, kid? I knew it! You’re the most cunning and treacherous one of these little bastards! Haha!” Quaid’s grip tightened as he grinned smugly.

No.

Thales felt the pain of his right arm being tightened and struggled to turn around, while trying to stab Quaid with the thing in his left hand.

"A dagger! Haha! Kid, you actually think you can use a dagger against me? Hahahaha, what are you planning to do? Stab my thigh?"

Quaid pulled Thales up, laughing wildly.

Thales thought desperately, the dagger, the sheathless dagger he had stolen from the Sunset Bar.

That was the last hope.

"Yo!"

Quaid looked in surprise at what was behind Thales.

There, when Thales pulled his dagger out of the hole, it was a coin that had been pulled out with too much force.

"A silver coin! Hahaha, you damned brat! You've been hoarding a silver coin!"

Thales tried to struggle with his left hand, but the strength of a seven-year-old child was completely insufficient, and he could only futilely pound on Quaid's abdomen, which was as hard as iron.

Quaid ignored Thales's feeble punches and kicks, and just grinned maliciously. He used his dagger to pick up the silver coin, flicked it in mid-air, and then caught it with the other side of the dagger.

Quaid then held the silver coin with his dagger and twirled it a few times. He nodded, quite satisfied with his knife skills; it seemed he hadn't regressed.

Then he pulled Thales a few steps away and threw the silver coin into the fire next to the yard.

"As the price for lying—here's a silver coin for you."

As Thales watched the silver coins gradually turn black in the fire, he suddenly realized what Quaid was about to do, and he kicked and punched them even more frantically.

Just then, Thales caught a glimpse out of the corner of his eye of the lame Ryan, the timid and cowardly Ryan who had always been timid and cowardly, tremblingly touching behind Quaid and raising a stone.

Ryan wasn't strong enough, and the rock only hit Quaid on the back of the neck.

But that was enough to get Quaid's attention.

"Run! Ryan!"

"Run!"

Thales, and Sinty, who was clutching his right leg in pain on the other side, both screamed!
But Ryan was a cripple. His leg was broken by a grumpy thief while he was begging, and the beggar, who lacked medical care, became a cripple.

Ryan retreated in alarm, turned around, and limped away.

Thales was dragged along by Quaid as he chased after Ryan.

Ryan was quickly caught up by Quaid.

Quaid, enraged, laughed instead.

"Crippled man!" Quaid exclaimed, his mouth agape, panting heavily like a wild boar. "That was really satisfying to smash."

"thump!"

Ryan was kicked to the ground, his eyes filled with fear and regret.

"me--"

Before the terrified Ryan could finish speaking, Quaid swung his dagger and plunged it into Ryan's right wrist!

"Ahhhh-"

Ryan's screams were deafening, even making Thales tremble.

When Ryan's incessant howls turned into painful groans, the already numb Thales felt Quaid grab his collar again.

A wave of intense heat washed over me.

Thales opened his eyes and saw the dagger in front of him, with the silver coin resting on it.

Silver coins that have been scorched and blackened by fire.

"Open your mouth," Quaid said ruthlessly and coldly.

Beside him, Ryan held his bloodied right hand, his eyes devoid of emotion, lying blankly on his side, his body trembling occasionally.

Thales withdrew his gaze and looked coldly at Quaid. "You won't?"

Quaid shook his head and chuckled, "Then the eyes are fine too."

After saying this, he took the dagger and the blackened silver coin resting on it and brought them close to Thales' eyes.

Just as it was about to touch his eyeball.

"what!"

Thales roared and struggled, biting Quaid's little finger, which was gripping the dagger!
Quaid hissed in pain, his body arching backward, the silver coin falling from the dagger and landing on Thales' bare chest.

A burning sensation surged through my chest!

"Ah—no!"

A burning sensation! It even caused excruciating pain!

Thales, unable to bear the burning sensation from the silver coin, loosened his grip on Quaid and reached for the coin on his chest.

"You damned brat!" Quaid roared in fury.

"Then I'll leave you something as a souvenir!"

He punched the boy to the ground, then pounced on him, pinning Thales down and pressing the dagger against Thales' chest, holding the charred silver coin firmly in his hand.

"hiss--"

The material that has been cooled is flesh and blood.

"Ah ah ah ah ah--"

Thales roared, his chest burning with an intense heat.

His muscles began to burn with pain again.

Quaid pressed down on the silver coin for a full five seconds, staring at Thales's face, which was contorting in pain, before finally feeling relieved and releasing Thales.

As soon as Thales broke free, he grabbed the silver coin that was stuck to his chest.

The silver coins rolled to the ground, clinking together.

"It's a pity, it would have been so much better to swallow it or press it on my eyelids."

Quaid carefully picked up the silver coin and threw it into the fire again. "It's okay, we'll try again next time."

Thales squeezed his eyes shut. The burning sensation in his chest didn't seem to lessen; instead, it intensified, growing hotter and hotter.

There seems to be a force surging within.

When Thales opened his eyes again, he just stared coldly at Quaid.

Quaid looked into those lifeless eyes and suddenly felt a little bored.

"Hey kid, don't you want to play anymore?" Quaid kicked Thales.

Thales lay motionless on the ground, seemingly having given up all hope, his eyes filled with a gray despair.

Only on his chest, where he was burned, did waves of heat emanate from the area.

He took a breath, looked around, and suddenly felt a little bored.

Let's finish this quickly and go find the other brats.

When Quaid raised his left hand, he suddenly felt something was off.
Just then, Thales, who was lying on the ground in despair, seemed to touch something with his right hand, which made him tremble slightly.

Thales shakily got to his feet, hiding his hands behind his back.
And that's how it all happened.

In Sinti's eyes, Thales, who had been trembling on the ground just a moment ago, suddenly pounced on the ground.

"Go to hell!"

Little Thales, fueled by the madness of two worlds and two memories, reached out toward Quaid's neck.

"I'm sick!"

Quaid had already seen his move, but casually retaliated with a backhand elbow.

Then, Thales was elbowed away by an impatient Quaid.

"boom!"

Thales' head hit the edge of a hole, and he saw stars.

But he still stubbornly raised his head and looked at his hands.

There, he held the dagger he had stolen from the Sunset Bar.

A dagger with a bloodstained blade.

Everything seemed to freeze in that instant.

Quaid paused for a moment, then looked down in surprise at Thales, who had been knocked away and was coughing incessantly on the ground.

Quaid's surprised look didn't last long before he realized what had happened to him.

He suddenly released Coria, and then, incredulously, reached out a trembling hand to touch his neck.

I received a piece that was warm, moist, and sticky.

He frantically reached for his neck with both hands, pressing in terror against the gaping hole gushing blood.

But his trembling hands and chin seemed to be resisting his intentions, and bright red arterial blood gushed out unstoppably.

Quaid gritted his teeth, feeling a slight weakness in his legs, and took a step back.

The burning pain in his chest continued, but at this moment, Thales raised his head and, under the terrified and shocked gazes of Coria and Cindy, and amidst Ryan's laughter that was devoid of emotion, looked at Quaid with a cold but firm expression.

"Go to hell!" Thales gritted his teeth, his eyes blazing with fury, and spoke each word with utmost deliberation.
"You're a piece of crap."

His eyes bulged out, as if they were about to pop out of their sockets, staring intently at Thales.

The feeling on my neck grew colder and colder, and even the pain disappeared.

Quaid clenched his teeth in pain.

But Thales just stared at him coldly.

Quaid, nearly in despair, stretched out his slightly trembling hand with difficulty.

He stretched out his hand, which had been pierced by Yara, toward Thales, and spoke in a hoarse voice.

"Damn it... brat..."

A bloodied hand weakly brushed across Thales' face, leaving a trail of blood.

These are the last words of "Bloodaxe" Quaid Rhoda in the world of Errol.

In the deepest darkness, how many people can still hold on to the light?
