Kingdom Bloodline

Chapter 477: Jailer

Chapter 477: Jailer
The mercenaries on the field all paled!

"cavalry!"

Beside Thales, Cannon, who had been lying on the ground listening, was the first to roar, his voice filled with unbridled joy:
"A large number of cavalry, very close!"

Soon, without Cannon's prompting, Thales sensed it:
The sand beneath his feet began to tremble.

The inexplicable tremors grew closer and closer, coming from behind the sand dunes above them.

Like ocean waves.

Realizing what was about to happen, the mercenaries and royal guards all lowered their weapons.

Watching the spark, hearing the horn, and feeling the ground tremble, Ricky stopped what he was doing, his madness and bloodlust momentarily halting.

That is……

"Woo——"

Amidst the firelight and horns, Thales squinted.

He felt something.

really.

Behind Ricky, a shadow suddenly appeared on the top of the dune below the spark.

A white shadow.

A white shadow streaked by.

And it was rapidly approaching the chaos below the dunes!
"Woo——"

As the horn sounded, the white figure approached with the speed of a swiftly soaring eagle, closing in on you in just two seconds!
Thales quickly got a good look at what it looked like.

It was a white horse.

A white horse galloping.

Pure white.

Flawless.

beautiful.

It trotted its four hooves, and the speed between the hooves was astonishing.

It was like lightning slicing through the darkness.

Yet its movements were unhurried and extremely elegant.

It even made people overlook the sound of horses' hooves.

"Woo——"

The bugle call continues.

Everyone was stunned.

“That is…” Little Barney stared blankly at the white figure, then was pushed away by Samir.

Samir, panting, wiped the blood from his face where the chains had scratched him.

"It's him."

"If you don't want to die, don't move!"

Thales also stared in surprise at the white figure, but when he saw the figure on horseback, he realized it was a knight.

A knight with an equally elegant and composed figure, yet whose speed was so fast that he could not see his appearance clearly.

Soon, the rolling sound of hooves became clearer and slower.

Thales subconsciously looked up.

He suddenly realized that, without him noticing, in the faint light that was gradually brightening in the east, countless dark figures had appeared on the surrounding sand dunes, looking down from above.

cavalry.

That's right, they were cavalry.

Countless cavalrymen.

We came over the hills, accompanied by a rumbling sound.

Like everyone else, Thales turned his head left and right, staring blankly at the sky above, watching the cavalrymen who had suddenly appeared rein in their horses and slowly ride down the slope to the long but clear sound of horns.

They surrounded this small patch of sand.

Like waves crashing over the rocks.

unstoppable.

If Thales, who was speaking eloquently to the lords in Dragon Sky City, still didn't understand the concept of "several thousand cavalrymen"...

Now he understands.

Thousands of cavalry.

That means that no matter how wide or broad your field of vision is, the moment you open your eyes and look up, what fills your vision is this group of black cavalry.

There are no blank spaces.

That means that no matter how good or detailed your hearing is, when they advance in unison, all you'll hear is the rolling sound of hooves.

with no exceptions.

That means that no matter how mature or calm you are, when thousands of warhorses weighing hundreds of pounds come hurling you through the gravel with their heart-pounding weight, the only thing that can remind you is your heart, which is beating faster and faster out of control, almost bursting out of your chest.

There is no room for breathing.

Everyone was stunned.

Except for Sackel.

As the least affected and most focused one, the Punisher kept a close eye on Ricky, who was holding Yordle hostage.

The next second, taking advantage of the other's momentary lapse in concentration, he suddenly sprang up, appeared behind Ricky, and grabbed the latter by the neck!

"Boom!"

This forced Ricky to release Yodl.

The battle resumes!

The bugle call turned.

The cavalrymen, whose features were obscured on the sand dunes, all paused, seemingly hesitant about this inexplicable battle.

Only the white figure that appeared first was still rushing down.

But beneath the dunes, threatened Ricky roared, his anger rising, and with a burst of strength, he rolled and slammed Sackel to the ground.

“You’re really annoying, Knight of Punishment.”

Ricky picked up the longsword, and his terrifying voice rang out again, sending shivers down the spines of many.

Before Ricky could even raise his sword, Yordle's figure and his eerie gray short sword reappeared, the blade piercing through Ricky's chest!

"Ahhh!"

Ricky roared in a fierce rage, turned around and swung his sword. Yordle shuddered and rolled away to avoid the attack.

But he failed to go any further.

Because the white figure that first appeared on the sand dune was right in front of them, piercing straight into the very center of the three-person battle!

It was as if a gust of wind had swept away countless grains of sand and dust.

Ricky only had time to dodge to the side, barely avoiding the white horse's charge!
But Thales was astonished to see:

The white-clad knight leaped into the air and swung his arm!
The next second, a pure white spear, even gleaming with a faint light, magically appeared in the knight's hand!

It swept across the air in sync with the White Shadow Knight's movements.

"Boom!"

The white spear struck Ricky squarely in the chest.

Using the horse's momentum, Ricky cried out as he flew off, landing on the sand dune behind him and sending up countless waves of sand.

The white-shadowed knight in the air was also jolted by the recoil!
But he adjusted his posture freely in mid-air, his spear drawing a path on the sand before landing gracefully.

Thales' heart skipped a beat:
He realized that these were friendly forces.

But the next moment, the white-clad knight suddenly turned around!

His spear tip, like a nimble snake, lashed out at Yordle, who had just ambushed Ricky!

Thales tensed up: Which side was he on?

The masked guard deftly parried the gun, then nimbly but somewhat clumsily rolled away to evade the attack.

But on the other side, Sacel frowned deeply. He picked up Ricky's longsword, wanting to help Yordle out of the predicament.

But the White Shadow Knight seemed to have eyes in the back of his head; he retracted his spear and turned around!
An astonishing scene unfolded:

With a crisp mechanical sound, the white spear, which was originally locked by the rear hand and pivoted by the front hand, miraculously changed its length, retracting forward and thrusting backward, with a second spear tip emerging from the master's rear hand, counter-stabbing Sacel!

Thales then realized that it was a double-headed gun.

And it can also be freely stretched?
In a flash, the White Shadow Knight turned around, switched his attack from one hand to the other, and launched a shot at Sacel!
Just as the spear and sword were about to clash, the Executioner's expression changed.

Knowing the great disadvantage of a sword against a spear, he instinctively withdrew his blade, took three steps back, and barely avoided the White Shadow Knight's sure-fire thrust.

"Ok?"

The White Knight was slightly surprised, seemingly puzzled that Sacel had perfectly dodged his confident attack.

At that moment, Ricky let out another piercing roar, sending chills down the spines of everyone present.

Amidst the billowing dust, Ricky surged forward once more, charging back onto the battlefield and towards Sackel, who had not yet regained his footing!

The Punisher gritted his teeth slightly, but before he could react, a figure flashed in the air—Yordle appeared in Ricky's path, intercepting the latter's knee.

"Woo——"

Amidst the continuous sounding of horns, the three resumed their battle:
Ricky, imposing and enraged by being repeatedly humiliated, wanted to kill Sakel. The hidden Yordle, employing hit-and-run tactics, frantically dodged and tried to stop him.

While calmly defending himself, Sacel tried to find an opportunity to counterattack and cut off the demon's head again.

But before Thales could react, the white-clad knight moved again.

With his spear trailing behind him, he strode across the sand at an astonishing speed and charged into the three-man battlefield!

In that instant, Thales felt a dizzying sensation:
In the chaos, the white-clad knight was seen recklessly thrusting his spear left and right, swiftly striking the enraged Ricky and forcing him to slack off.
While Sacel launched a counterattack, the White Shadow Knight intercepted the attack with precise thrusts and jabs, leaving the Punisher Knight empty-handed.

Unfortunately, the white spear would occasionally emerge from unexpected and unpredictable angles, causing ripples in the air and forcing the Yordle, who was planning a surprise attack, to retreat back into the shadows in a disheveled state.

The three were like three wolves fighting each other, but before they could even touch each other, they were interrupted by the strange spear in the middle.

Everyone, including Thales, stared blankly at the chaotic scene:
That white-clad knight...

he is……

One against three?

Figures moved back and forth in the sandstorm, and Thales' eyes ached from watching.

The White Shadow Knight was incredibly agile. His feet were not his only foothold; he moved back and forth, using the two ends of his spear as pivots, narrowly escaping danger at the last second.

This reminded Thales of the "Locust Blade" incident.

His double-headed white spear was like the most magical weapon, extending and retracting at will, of any length, moving left and right, forward and backward, and capable of unleashing the most fierce and precise attacks from any posture and any angle.

With his agile movements and fierce attacks, coupled with the whistling sound of the white-clad knight's spear wielding through the air, creating an imposing aura...

He even...

No need for defense.

This will force the enemy out of the threat zone.

Finally, after nearly ten seconds of chaotic fighting, Sacel seized an opportunity. He moved quickly forward, his longsword suddenly swung, and his target shifted from Ricky to the White Shadow Knight.

The new knight frowned, shifted his stance, and parried with his spear, only to find himself in an awkward position the next second:

He was separated from Yodl and could only watch as Saxeel lunged at Ricky.

"laugh!"

The longsword pierced Ricky's shoulder blade.

"that's it?"

But Ricky suddenly looked up and, with an unprecedentedly sharp voice, made Saxe frown and step back!

The voice seemed extremely peculiar, and Thales, who was standing a little further away, also cried out in pain and knelt on the ground.

"Then you're finished."

With a ferocious expression, Ricky pulled "Eternal Truth" from his shoulder and charged at the unsteady Punishment Knight.

Yodl tried to step forward, but he too swayed precariously at the sound of that piercing voice.

But just then, when everyone was in a bad state because of the roar, only the white-shadowed knight moved.

He faced the challenge head-on, completely unaffected, his figure as graceful and composed as a white feather fluttering in the wind, sweeping past the Yordles.
Amidst Ricky's chilling voice, only the voice of the White Shadow Knight rang out.

"Quiet."

It was a clear, cool, and bright voice.

Like a clear stream in endless filth.

It cleanses the soul.

It is beyond questioning, beyond refutation, let alone defiance.

Ricky, who was still furious a moment ago, suddenly fell silent as if he had lost control!

The next second, the white spear lashed down like lightning!

It hit Ricky right on the shoulder!

"Boom!"

That dull thud seemed to come from the depths of my heart.

Ricky's longsword fell, and he knelt on both knees.

"very good."

The white-clad knight spoke softly, then sheathed his spear.

Ricky didn't stand up again; he shook his head as if trying to wake himself up.

Soon, Ricky raised his head again, staring incredulously at the white-clad knight before him. The yellow light in his eyes slowly faded, and the injuries on his face gradually healed.

"you."

Ricky murmured.

As Thales slowly approached, he finally got a clear look at the White Shadow Knight.

The knight was of average height and had a slender build; he looked to be no more than thirty years old.

He was dressed in a neat and simple white riding outfit, and his posture was proud and imposing as he walked, as if the chaos of the previous battle could not shake him in the slightest.

The only somewhat abrupt thing is...

The knight's left shoulder, where the shoulder armor should have been, was covered by a grayish-white, ugly, and huge skull.

This added a touch of sternness to his appearance.

The White Knight seemed to sense Thales's gaze and turned around alertly.

The moment he turned around, it felt to the boy like a blade cutting through the water, leaving a sharp mark that vanished in an instant but remained unforgettable.

As dawn broke, Thales froze.

because……

Thales suddenly realized that the man who had dismounted from the white horse was rather...

He's too handsome.

So handsome that when his features turned toward Thales, it was as if lightning had struck through the air, giving the illusion of "dispelling darkness" even in broad daylight.

His hair was jet black, like the ideal ink wash in an oil painting, which complemented his white suit perfectly, highlighting each other.

His fair complexion, set against the backdrop of the vast, yellow desert, gave him a rare and robust air of strength and heroism.
He wore a distinctive, shimmering silver earring below his left ear, directly above the ugly skull.

And his eyes...

Thales stared blankly, feeling that those light amber eyes held the most beautiful yet deadliest blades, capable of attracting every connoisseur while piercing those who were overly obsessed with them.

The White Shadow Knight glanced at Thales, then turned away.

Thales then realized that he had been staring at him rudely for several seconds.

The handsome white-clad knight ignored Ricky and turned to the other two.

Under his gaze, Yordle sheathed his Supreme Sword and quickly vanished into thin air.

“Clever,” the White Knight said coolly.

The battle ceased silently.

The clearing below the dunes returned to silence.

The White Knight retracted his right hand, and the magical white spear, as if by magic, shortened to the length of an elbow, and was retracted behind him.

He glanced casually at the mercenaries and royal guards behind him.

His expression was indifferent, as if nothing had happened.

This made the people behind him tense.

The White Knight didn't say anything; he turned around and made a gesture towards the sky.

Rumble…

The sound of hooves rose again, and the cavalrymen on the sand dunes began their march once more.

The mercenaries and royal guards looked up warily:

The cavalry on the surrounding sand dunes were getting closer and closer. They were numerous, with hundreds or even thousands already in sight, and more cavalry were constantly appearing from behind the dunes, slowly descending the slope.

Combined with the size of the horses, they looked like a swarm of black ants covering the mountains and plains from a distance, pressing in from every direction, creating an extremely oppressive atmosphere.

Thales then recognized him:

The cavalrymen at the front row all held bows and crossbows, their faces full of hostility toward the crowd below the sand dunes, as if they were about to unleash a volley of arrows at the slightest command.

This made the people living under the dunes even more nervous.

"Hey—" Barney, seeing a glimmer of hope, was about to speak when Samir grabbed him from behind.

“Don’t speak carelessly,” Samir whispered, glancing warily at his former colleagues and gesturing towards the white-clad knight:
"That bastard doesn't like anyone interrupting him when he's doing things."

Under the tense and wary gazes of the crowd, the handsome white-clad knight walked up to Sacel, looked down at the warrior who was bruised, battered, and in a sorry state, yet still fought on relentlessly.

The handsome man's voice was cold and hollow, carrying an inexplicable power, like a chilling current in a silent void:

“I recognize your mark.”

The man looked up, his eyes like those of an eagle, and precisely spotted Barney and the others in the crowd:

"And yours too."

The expressions of the royal guards all darkened.

Sacel stared at the white-clad knight before him, narrowing his eyes as if he had remembered something.

"Ah, I recognize you too." A few seconds later, the Executioner smiled.

“Young man,” Sacelle sighed.

“You are the ‘jailer’ of this generation.”
