Hard times: I worked as a truck driver in the county town

In 1959, Yi'an County established a transportation station and acquired its first truck. The county couldn't find a single driver, and Jiang Cheng, having just returned from military service, became the county's only truck driver without going through the resettlement process. A 21-year-old truck driver—everyone envied him. But all of this was because Jiang Cheng's life had been so smooth; he didn't want to be 'controlled' anymore. With Jiang Cheng's choice to break free from control, things began to get interesting.
